With 252 attack EV’s onix will have a guaranteed 3 shot dealing between 33.3% to 40.7% hp to the pikachu
If pikachu has a - defense nature and onix has a + attack nature tackle has a 5.9% chance to 2 shot the pikachu dealing between 40.7% to 51.8%
If we give onix a choice band it’s now a guaranteed 2 shot with tackle dealing between 62.9% to 74%
So in short, ash is such a bad trainer that his pikachu is somehow weaker then a pikachu even can be

Snorlax being able to hit gengar shouldn't happen if it can still body slam.
Struggle is a Typeless move and only gets used after all moves run out, so Red cheated.
