With the purchase of a NEW key fob that would need to be programmed, that's not the same as your regular key, that for SOME reason is not detected, correct? That being so, just purchasing a new key fob, you would need to have s/one PROGRAM it @ w/ever the cost is, correct? In o/words, no way around not having it programmed is what I'm thinking. (2021 model BTW)
This didn't work I've used this approach a few times. The key fob will lock/unlock the doors and trunk and even remote start the car but as soon as I get in to actually start it it doesn't work. I also put a brand new battery in the fob after it stopped working thinking that maybe that was the problem. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Turns out it was a $1,200 fix. Some relay had blown causing another issue with the onboard computer and the backup camera. The relay and the fob had to be replaced.
Hello, I have a question about the 2015 srt core. I went to a dealership to look at one. He starts it with the key we open doors and look at the car. Then it turns off after he revs the engine once. Is that an issue or an anti theft type thing?
@@quyncrawford1289, no, it was stolen the next day. What I did not mention is that someone broke a window the night before but didn't take anything. I believe whoever did this had the tools to learn a new key and unlearn my own. They came back the next night after I had patched the broken window.

One thing I always tell people to check is to make sure the new battery was installed correctly ( not upside down ). If that does not work then there may be a deeper issue with fob or vehicle itself
Won't the car shut off when you put it in gear without the fob being detected? Don't have this car, it's my uncle's. He also said the dealership told him that the reason his car is just shutting off while driving is due to a low fob battery. That's sounds like BS to me and a major safety concern if it's true.

Just tried it, didn't work. Drove it yesterday with no issues and this morning it doesn't detect the key and the alarm goes off when opening any door.

I ran 2 miles for the battery and came back with nothing، ‘MY LEGEND’

Ok what if I’ve changed to a new battery but still have to touch the fob to button and my remote start won’t work what could be wrong

Im not sure on the older 300's but on the newer ones the emergency key is only used for unlocking the door, the vehicle cannot be started with it.
