This is a great and comprehensive review, I was just there 2 weeks ago for my sons wedding. The service is great and all the workers are very friendly. Just like you I didn't make it to all the restaurants, just so much going on. I didn't find the no straws an issue at all and the rooms could get cool when you're gone but we just opened the patio door and it warmed up in minutes. I found the pool music super loud at 2pm at times which made it hard to talk. Probably my biggest complaint was no bathroom close to the beach so you had to walk all the way to the other side of the pool for the closest one. Anyway it was a great trip and I would go back in a second.

I’m a child and I’m going in august I am scared of planes but Im sooo excited so it’s definitely worth it
Love the content and video, however I don’t particularly agree with the 16 chair/table situation for the steakhouse and don’t think it’s considered bad customer service because of you all wanting to host a bachelor/bachelorette parties there and couldn’t. Being that it is an all inclusive resort, everyone else there paid money just as you all did, to enjoy the perks of the resort. In my opinion it’s a bit selfish to ask that of a restaurant to section off an area for a non reservation required venue just to host a pre-wedding related event that wasn’t booked as an event but more so a preference in event hosting (especially with there being so many other options for hosting a pre wedding event). Put yourself in the reversed role, assuming you were other guest that already had to accommodate wedding parties for other events etc and now having to wonder if you can walk in with your family and hope you get seated for a meal. With that being said it’s nice to want a lot, but you all weren’t the only guest staying there and I believe it’s fair to say that the resort acted professionally according to their policy. Now had that been a situation of a booked scenario, well then that’s different

Normally I would agree with you but it was the wedding coordinator from the resort that told us we were allowed to reserve restaurants for the wedding party. It was frustrating when we got there and this wasn’t the case

How much did you end up paying per night? Also does the resort have any nightlife other than the theater? Nightclub, area with DJ etc? What time would you say the resort “shuts down” around? Thank you for the video; super helpful and informative!

Planning/already booked our trip for November of this year. Great review! I know the resort is family friendly and focused on that, but did you notice a lot of children there? Your video made it appear to be on the quieter side.
Thanks for watching. There wasn't a lot of children. I do remember the few that I saw stayed by the far end of the pool and the other swim up bar area.
I was just there 2 weeks ago and saw a lot of kids, even babies in strollers.
Great video, we're going october this year. One question though, do you have to pay extra for dinner in the restaurants is it included?
The restaurants are included except for one which is part of the upgrade package.

@@DenverandTeresa Do You think it'd be necessary to upgrade to Finest club or Excellence Club to be able to get lounge chairs by the pool and beach. All the chairs seem to be taken .

Great video man. Please tell me this. I have knee issues and going up and down stairs is a problem with me. Does this resort have facilities in place (elevators, ramps, golf carts etc) to help me get everywhere I might want to go? (ie: from room to restaurants, beach, pool etc..) Thanks so much, Steve S
Hey Steve. At the main lobby there is an elevator and an elevator for the rooms. I can only think of the on spot being only stairs but that one is more for the private functions. going to the beach there are some small ramps but i would say 90% of the place is flat.
We’re going for a wedding very soon! Is there a cost for any of the activities besides the spa? Are the food trucks included in the cost as well?
food truck is like the snack bar and is included. any activities off the resort are an extra charge

i don't think so, i didn't notice tbh but i feel like if it was a really cool party i would have noticed.
It does appear that the restaurants' menus are available on the property's website. No need to scan a QR code.
better print them off if you want to see them not on a phone
What time of year did you go? How were the crowds? We definitely want to celebrate our anniversary here next year!
We just took our second trip there in less than a yr. We went end of 6/22 and beginning of 6/23. Place doesn’t feel crowded at all, because it’s so spaced out. Wife is cancelling our 20 yr to Greece to do bowel renewal here… it’s THAT nice.

We went end of october! No crowds, even though we’re sure the hotel was nearly full as people tried to upgrade rooms but none were available. Like the other comment said, it’s a very spaced out hotel

All you have to do is call and speak with a representative and ask for a note on your account that you prefer a corner swim up. Excellence/Finest doesnt guarantee any of these room preferences and its all just a matter of when you arrive and whats available at that moment.

Thanks for watching! I would say it was pretty peaceful. No nightclub so it wasnt like it was a party resort. It wasnt empty or boring but it wasnt a giant party.
Also depends on who has booked what event at what location. There were some evening weddings on our first trip, that had some very lively wedding parties near the beach. Tiki torch performers and lights. It’s was pretty cool to watch from distance. Also people reserve sky bar, and those parties have djs and loud music. Enough to remind you that people are celebrating and having fun, but not sloppy drunk obnoxious though.
The beach at playa Mujeras doesn't look as nice as the hotel zone area beach. Water looks darker, any comparison?
No but the beach in the hotel zone is swarming with vendors so you pick your poison
He couldn’t really walk through reserved Club areas of beach, so you couldn’t really get a good view. Water was so clear & clean here. IMO it’s nicer than hotel zone. Especially when Playa has covered couch cabanas, a big grill/bars within a few feet, and attendants that bring drinks and food consistently.
My grandma is coming for my wedding. She does not have the ability to download an app on her phone. What is she suppose to do ?
