    There is something so hypnotic and mesmerising about these quads--speed, soft entries & landings of such powerful jumps! No tension, just a perfect posture all along!

    I do not know much about skating but the grace in between the jumps is very very important for me....maybe because I love ballet. There are so many skaters that do these jumps amazing and perfect but do not have Yuzurus grace and poise after each jump......I hope that whenever in the FAR future when he decides to no longer do competitions , he will treat us with beautiful performances.

    Hearing the Henry Mancini A time for us always makes me cry. Even when Yuzuru is skating. The movie with Olivia Hussey and Leonard Whiting broke me. If you haven't seen it you should. I bought it on DVD on Amazon but I know I'll cry my head off so I haven't even opened it. It was directed by Franco Zefferelli so it's Italian, enough said.

    Из этого ролика видно что фигуристы в разные периоды своей спортивной карьеры приносят разные виды энергии. У Юзуру Ханю это особенно заметно. Он разнообразен и в то же время гармоничен. Все эти качества проявляются в течение долгого периода времени. Это большое достижение!!!

    How do you tell the toe loop and salchow apart? I know the toe uses the left foot to pick but is their entry the same?

    • @nicholasliu5788
      @nicholasliu5788 5 лет назад +5

      There are a few ways of telling them apart. Normally, a toe and edge jump should be easily distinguishable, but their entries are indeed quite similar and I started off with serious trouble too.
      A massive giveaway is the three turn. As a noob figure skater, I do a salchow off a left forward outside three turn and have done toe loops off right forward inside three turns. These guys reverse that; they do a right forward inside three turn, put their left foot down and jump salchows. Alternatively, they may three turn several times to generate rotation before doing a salchow.
      I've only ever seen one entrance for a quad toe, and it's off a left forward outside three turn, put the right foot down, pick off the left. I believe these entrances are to prevent excessive swinging of the body.

      Níamh Toeloop is a toe jump, salchow is an edge jump. Toepick is used for a toe jump. Blade is used for salchow.

    綺麗…。持って生まれた天賦の才能が有ると同時に、彼の血のにじむような努力の結果が実を結んで、このような素晴らしいスケータになったのだと思う。

    なんと贅沢な4回転集!今では女子さえも跳ぶ4回転ジャンプだけど、踏切からランディングまでどこを取っても汚い動きがない究極の美。それはスローにした時よくわかる。おかけに跳ぶ前後で超難しい要素入れている。全てのスケーターの教科書ですね。
    His jumps are the textbook for all skaters. No one skates like him jumping with such beautiful moves. In addition to that, no one can skate difficult elements before and after jumping.

  • @asiacheetah1010
    @asiacheetah1010 5 лет назад +25

    His jumps are just perfect. Perfect take off, straight body position, legs tightly together, smooth exit.

    I think Yuzuru Hanyu is the best male figure skater ever but it's interesting watching this because you can see the quality of all his quads goes down in 2016-2017 season.

    • @gman28
      @gman28 5 лет назад +44

      Yes, having just recovered from injury (Boston Worlds 2016), it was a fight for him to regain all his jumps. He resumed training late summer (he started from jumping singles). And then with the addition of the quad loop (him being the first to land it ever in competition), it was a matter of stabilizing such a new jump. By Helsinki Worlds 2017, his condition peaked, the quality of all his jumps perfected, producing the world record free skate. 2016-2017 season was quite a journey for him.

    • @eggizgud

      As good as he is, he's not always perfect. But he still manages to bring something in his jumps that make us marvel.

      @中本浩子-l5m 5 лет назад +7

      I agree with you. But it's matural that the more quads or 3A he tries to put in a program the less quality it becomes. And he's also been adding complicated steps or eagles just before and after the jumps. He is so agressive that he can't help challenging tough things. I think now he can show us higher quality jumps if he skates the same program he performed before.

    • @greenpuffle
      @greenpuffle 4 года назад +3

      It's also worth noting that many of the imperfect landings were due to the fact it was his first season doing two quads in the second half. Many of his quad toes didn't look great that season because they were always performed after the halfway point. (His best 4T was probably at Worlds where he peaked. The one at WTT was also amazing.)

    初期の方は着氷後、両腕高く挙げて一生懸命バランス取ってた感じだけど、ソチシーズンらへんから、左腕が下がってて片足でうまくスピード乗りながら次に繋げてる感じすごい。コンポーネンツも大幅に上がるのも納得。let's go crazyの時なんかは4s3tの時、わざと両腕はパッと落とす感じで降りてて着氷さえも音に合ってる。

    Oh my Gosh! watching Yuzuru 's skating really ease my mind ! the Covid 19 crisis has taken so over many lives around the world. All ice skating rinks in the US are closed along with Canada. The World Championship 2020 was cancelled along with all the ice shows scheduled for the remaining of the year. It is difficult to practice along at home with Coaches. I feel for all the competitive skaters, all practices on ice are put on hold. I am finding my way to practice my spins on land., Really miss you, Yuzuru Hanyu. Thank you for all the beautiful skating and hope you along with all the skaters are healthy so we can see at the competition again
