Most of if not all of our all black players were born in NZ or spent the majority of their development in New Zealand. Hardly straight up poaching like the French. Hell most of the pacific teams have New Zealand or Australian born players. Not to take away from the Island nations in any respect.

Grand game by the Fiji Drua side. Kudos to Australian Rugby for allowing Fiji to take part in the championship and great exposure for the local talents in the Islands.

Amazing, I think we've seen this year both Fijians and PNGs do very well and win their tournaments, hopefully leads to bigger and better things, perhaps inclusion in Super Rugby or a new separate Rugby tournament with other Pacific nations

Alot being said about the Drua's win and Fiji being in the Mitre 10 Cup and Super Rugby. I reckon winning the NRC is a good start and hope that this highlights the talents that are in the islands and as such, Samoa and Tonga should be given the opportunity as well. This 3 proud rugby nations have been constantly poached of their best players by tier 1 rugby countries and its only fair that NZ like Australia give the Pacific Islands a chance in their local competition to upskill the local players as well as keep them at home
Well done to the Drua for winning the competition in just their second year with the forwards being fast and furious that they did well to some extent in the set-pieces against QLD Country. Interesting to see whether a samoan or tongan team comes into the mix next season since its still in the works at the moment with RA and WR sorting things out.

The trophy presentatiin was one of the worst trophy presention i have even seen on a big match like this. Protocol was like a bazzar game presentation.

I concur. They just took the trophy in right after the game and gave it to the skipper. The players efforts were not full recognised. What a shambles of a trophy presentation

Well there is a campaign at the moment to get Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson himself to sponsor such an initiative according to recent news, since this is to include Tonga and Samoa as well for a full pacific islander team franchise in super rugby. Even if SANZAR doesn't consider the option, having The Rock would make things quite interesting if this campaign is successful in getting his attention.
EDIT: NZ has approved the Drua for Super Rugby 2022, now AU will do the same eventually after turning it down the first time.
Fiji Drua playing against weak aussie competition, NZ super rugby teams are a totally different beast from Aussie teams just saying but cant wait to see Drua in 2022 super rugby!👏👏👏💯
