The Blue Jiaxie technique is a traditional printing and dyeing technique in Wenzhou, Zhejiang, and also one of the national intangible cultural heritage items. It's done by sandwiching a cloth between two boards and soaking it in the dye liquor. The poet Bai Juyi also wrote, "Jiaxie in Chengdu and rouge in Shangqiu."
