There are fewer videos on statistics which were posted long ago, but your explanation style is unique and wish you would have continued. You explain an hour topic in minutes. Appreciate it
Great video. The only think I would change is that you don't *have* to put the independent variable on the x-axis. Students need to understand that they can do either. What's important is reading the graph behavior. An example of this is that a distance vs time graph is harder to interpret if you put the distance on the x-axis (especially if you want to learn about the velocity being the slope of a distance vs time graph). Yet, it's more common for the distance to be the independent variable by design. And there are lots of times we switch the axis... because it doesn't matter. I realize this is high school and we tend to have rules to help them get started but I'm wondering how hard could it be to teach them how to assess the graph once they make a choice of the axis rather than setting a "rule of thumb."
Right now the first people who ever had to see this video in class is already done with high school and in a few years kids will watch this video and realize people that are in college watched this video just a few years earlier
I have to test my hypothesis on 2 generic shampoos and 2 salon grade shampoos and i had to test them to see if the salad grade shampoo will contain significantly higher buffer capacities because the salon grade shampoo will contain more efficient ingredients. So now that I have my numbers, how do I graph it in excel?
Can someone answers these questions for me 1. Why do we use a graph 2. What’s are 5 types of graphs and ther specific purpose 3. What are all the elements of a good graph 4. List 5 characteristics of a graph that make it a bad graph (I’m just to lazy to do this so please tel me soon.
Bruh my science teacher sent this link as homework and he said “ I want you to tell me the 5 rules when making a graph. Make sure it is in the video”. BRUH THERE ARE NO FRICKING STEPS IN THIS VIDEO!! OMFG
my science teacher just made my class come here and take notes
Bruhhhh sameeee
Mine just said you don't have to do anything just watch it
Same
Mine used Edpuzzle but yes. I am here to rewatch it lmao

Thank you
thank you i was not bout to watch that whole video
ill thank you never this information is useless to me. sorry.
OMG THANK U LIFE SAVER 😌
every single one of my science teachers have just given us videos and said "do the work" like????? brug

A simple guide for the beginning students in your classroom. I can’t imagine a more worthwhile video for the people in my family!
Thank you for the video. I watched it in science class and it really helped me out.
listen to this video in either the slowest playback speed or the fastest
This helped me in my science class and helped me learn more about Graphing Data, thanks Mr. Anderson!
Hei I got his class now, help meee
Had to watch this for HW, turned the playback speed to x2
Am i an intellectual?
Dude, you are an intellectual beyond measure. 😂
open the transcript and control f. That is the truly intellectual move.

What would we do without Paul Andersen?

You have a really calming voice. I'm not worried about graphs anymore! Thanks. 🙂
mr anderson carried my ap bio career ✊
Your students are SOOO lucky to have you!
i agree!!
I appreciate this video. It is very basic for a beginner like me
Thanks for this video. I'm going to use it in class to help my students understand graphing.
woah a teacher
Mr Anderson you rock! Love from England.
POV: All the comments are from the start of the pandemic but its spring rn and youre still here watching this video for school
Thanks Mr.Krodel
Thanks this was very helpful I have yearlys and had very limmited knowledge on graphs thanks!
This honestly helped me out sooo much
Pov: This is ur summer assignment for Bio Honors and AP
POV*
Thanks Mr. Anderson
Had to watch this for science and I actually learned something.... Haha
Aech192 Same
Very helpful video. I have this saved to refer back to. Thanks!
Omg I’m finally done with this!
This is great! I will definitely use this in my classroom! Thanks!
Im in my science class watching this because of work i have to doooo..... but i dont want toooo
Hi Lisa, How are you? Happy New Year how was yours?
it helped a bunch! ty!
honestly Id rather watch amoebae sisters right now no offense
So true
Why can’t she do chem 😤

You are saving my research presentation right now!!!
Since you live in Bozeman, do you watch the show Yellowstone a lot?
Great explanations!
Thank you so much I have a hard time with graphing on the regents
So I’m measuring the effect of different aged compost on the height of plants, which graph would that be? A bar graph or line graph?
I would say bar graph
Why everyone say”POV your science teacher assigned this for homework” we know.
Facts
Btw I now learn using SPSS make scatter plot to find out the line in multiple linear regression
When ur teacher sent you here for HW but you still don't understand-
I gotcha
me constantly
POV: Your teacher sent you this for homework, 👁️ 👄 👁️
we love you boze man
who else just reading the comments and completely ignoring the video
Está bien . Muy importante lo de los gráficos , Te animo a hacer otra sobre como hacer buenas tablas de datos
the world will end at some point and this is what my teacher is making me watch.
Thank you so much!! You're awesome!!
I have to take notes on this for homework T_T
7th grade science teacher sent our class here to take notes
Thank u so much. Really helped! 😊

I was wondering how to put the line in a scatter plot, where to start and where to stop please because I never know.
