Thank you guys for being obedient to God and the Respect and Love you have for each other. I feel like I am one of the few young afults that isnt into the charismatic movement. (I’m the same age as Melody for reverence). I don’t believe in the modern concept of speaking in tongues. If it can’t be translated it isn’t biblical. Also the Bible says in that speaking in tongues is the least among spiritual gifts, se 1. Cor. 12:7. I think that todays society has a fascination for super natural things. Although God works in the supernatural, he also does in the “normal” like in the book of Esther. Gods name is never user in that book, but his hand is obviously in the story. I believe in the original speaking in tongues where it is heard as a actual language (here an interpreter also makes more sense, as they are interpreting a real language). The Holy Spirit lives in every believer, that is the gift of God. No thing a man can do or a man is a vesle of can determin whether or not you are saved. And the New Testament is clear in saying that the Holy Spirit comes immediately after believing in Jesus as your Christ and savior (Acts 2:38). I would strongly advice the both of you to study more, and not fall into new age practices, which more and more charismatic churches are falling into such as speaking thing into existence. All of that isn’t biblical. I know that there is a lot of debate around the modern way of speaking in tongues, but I would again advice to do research. There are also other pagan religions that do the same things (talk a unknown language). God knows our hearts and he doesn’t need gebrish to understand us. Sometimes just crying is enough, and he knows what we are feeling and what we want to say. Anyways stay blessed and I hope you receive this with love. May God bless you, besos
