The young man (Trevor) driving the Red and White truck was killed a month later while changing a tire on a mobile home. He was an amazing guy that was loved by everyone. Please be careful on the road and move over for people on the shoulder.

Yes - Trevor will be missed by many. Trevors Dad brought me a delivery a few days ago and I had a chance to speak with him about what a great young man Trevor had become. Trevor will be missed by many but certainly not forgotten...My heart goes out to the Baker family!

They haven't been called "Mobile Home" since 1976. They are officially and legally called "Manufactured/Factory Built Homes" according to FHA, VA, FNMA, FHLMC, and USDA.

Ok…still a mobile home. When you say mobile home, people know exactly what you are referring to. Just saying…

What a nice dance to get those 1/2's located. Thanks for the share...and know that your interaction with Trevor left a mark on him.

Interesting. Would love a video on the logistics, the costs, financing and how it’s put together.

It costs between $5k-$10k for single wide, so probably $10k-$20k for double wide

Am I missing something here? I heard you say this was a new home. But I don't see a slab or even any footings under the home. If the HUD inspector knows what he is doing, he will fail that set up. All new manufacturered homes are subject to a HUD inspection in addition to the regular building inspector stuff. I dont want to see you put the home together just to have to move it and put a slab down. I would talk to the installer AND the manufacturer about this while the home is still on wheels. Just don't want you to get in a big mess. I hope you do a follow up video on this home. We would all like to see some of the process of putting this home together.

Thanks for your comments - FHA does not require a slab on all homes. The county codes here allow you to compact the soil and use ABS pads. Thats it..... My buyer will be getting an FHA loan and this setup procedure meets all the FHA requirements and manufacturers requirements. Every step in this process of set up gets inspected by the building dept. Some states are stricter than others. - Tom
