took me two days to find the window buttons! SMH!!!! love the lockable glove boxes i didnt have that on my Hummerh2 and i hated that. i already ordered the locked hook clamps cause i know the guys at work would be all under my hood looking when i'm working..lol love the Jeep so far i bought a 2012 Sahara 4 dr unlimited in the silver color with black rims. and it will be a pleasure vehicle not everyday driver. oh and i do have the locked gas cover and i will be getting some new wheel locks nothing like security.
dreamergirlbaby more cosmetic difference is really about it, it look better in my opinion. it was 42k and my sahara was 40k. the smokey mtn having black rims, colored hard top leather interior and heated seats was the only difference.
dreamergirlbaby but they have other smokey mtn editions that were selling for 48k. didnt even get a look at those to see why it was that much more than than seeing it had mud tires vs all terrain
I'm looking to buy a multi purpose vehicle as an everyday driver and camping. I love Jeeps. I once owned an old Willys Utility Wagon. Loads of fun with that. But honestly, the poor reliability of Jeeps today is making me consider a 4Runner.
I guess I should clarify my first comment. I did not mention my Willys Wagon because I was comparing today's Jeeps to older ones. I only mentioned the Willys to show I was not biased against the Jeep brand as are some commenters. My concern is the reliability of Jeeps today. And many reputable organizations have gone on record stating that under the category of reliability, the Jeep brand has lower ratings than, say, Toyota or Honda. But don't take my word for that, it's a matter of public record. That's why I followed my Willys comment with mentioning that I'm considering the 4 Runner. If I'm going to spend up to $50,000 for a vehicle, reliability matters to me.
Does this addition have a back up camera I’m looking to purchase this exact vehicle but not having A backup camera is a deal breaker please let me know
27:57 here is the window sticker to this vehicle. Look closely at the 'Optional Equipment'. You can compare it to your window sticker to see the differences
You do great vids and go over so much, but it makes me wonder sometimes when I see ridiculous options in a vehicle. I mean who in their right mind would put an HDD in a car, and only 30 GB at that. The technically inclined know, that its much more cost effective to use 250/500 GB HDD than a 30 GB. But that's not the problem... an HDD will get ruined bouncing in a vehicle (the head smacking into the disc) within months. An SSD (90-120GB) would last much longer (you could kick one across the parking lot and it'd still work) AND have enough room for half your songs. JS Just my rant, but you still do great videos.
I will never comprehend why people will pay the amount of money they do for these brand new with such little amenities. Yes however, I do understand these vehicles are meant for outdoor rugged use. But that excuse can only go but so far with today's technology everyone else is putting in their off-road vehicles in the last few years. The infotainment is a complete joke, they've had that in there for over a decade and charge for it what they'd charge for the nav system they have on any other car they produce throughout dodge, jeep, & Chrysler that would be so much more modern. The antenna on the side, really dodge?.....really? Is this 1999? Ford made that mistake with the 2015 F-150 and quickly corrected themselves once they saw the shit they got for it. No power seats.....you can include heated seats and a heated steering wheel but god forbid $50,000 gets you a seat with power lumbar support. Halogen headlights?????? LIKE WTF? AGAIN, PROJECTOR HIDS WOULD NOT HURT! A circular LED drl? Every single last truck except this one in the market you can get stock with LED DRLs and projector bulbs.....shit like that plus more I could say. It's just getting old and they know they can keep getting away with it because people will buy it. Let's make the most cheaply designed interior and exterior and technological features possible and charge the most for him and people will buy the exact same thing for over a decade. Brilliant marketing because it's actually working....
Jeeps are made to withstand water in the floorboard that is why they do not have power seats. I am curious... where would you relocate the antenna? BTW this Jeep has LED headlights.
Jeep is good at marketing, for sure. You are basically buying an icon with the Wrangler. You buy into the rugged mentality... Also the antenna is a strange thing. A 2017 Ram (even the most expensive models) have a traditional antenna along with the sharkfin.
DBFReviews Alt Account if you want a techy car, go for something else and stop complaining about the jeep and its lack of tech. This is a rugged 4wd old style vehicle, I wouldnt ever want to load it up with the tech available in luxury and other types of cars. Jeeps are meant for hardcore off roading, which they r the absolute best at. As far as interior and exterior goes, Im totally satisfied as this vehicle still looks badass. The antenna looks great, adds to that hardcore look.
Honestly this is one of the worst SUV's we ever got in for dream cars. It drives like its on stilts, it feels like its going to tip over, the ride is harsh and bouncy, the interior has sharp plastic edges and sub econo box 12K interior materials, and to top it off its relatively slow. simply this is a trash product and the fanboys know it as well.
It is hard to imagine a person that is so pompously decadent that they think this is a "trash product". - Yes Justin... I am envious of your superiority :)
hmmm, makes no sense. you are making a strange false equivalency by claiming that my position on a vehicle is akin to claiming i am superior to another human being. *this is a fallacious and logically inept argument* for one to get so enraged, upset, and triggered because i dared to expose the short comings of a vehicle from a brand they cherish is not just pathetic but it is also dissonant. _Next time debate me don't throw red herring fallacies out like its Christmas ;)_
well luckily i only was replying to your one comment. Plus it is hard to detect sarcasm with out either 1. being incredibly outrageous or 2. showing humor (like saying lolz, or JK), or being friends / talking a lot is also a good way to know each other more and knowing grammatical subtleties, i will put it this way, if i commented on this video and said "you are a fat crying POS and you think you are superior to everyone ;)" i am sure you would be like "WTF" but if this was a joke then sorry if i got aggressive.
Awesome video as always! These are one of my favorite trucks!
Just got one of these in a all white 2 door! Love it!
Always love your reviews. Well detailed and very informative. Keep up the great work!
One of the best reviews I've seen. Nicely done!
I pretty love your 4K video

You are by far the best vehicle reviewer on RUclips. Would it be possible to get a wrangler not in the unlimited trim level review? Thanks

Wonder, I really like smoky mountain blue.
nice review!
Goals 😭🖤
was about 5 seconds away from buying this exact wrangler color and all. but ended up going with a sahara because of the price difference.
RedBeard what's the difference between this and the Sahara ?

+Geezed Out what makes you think new Jeeps have a lower reliability than old ones?
Consumer Reports, Edmunds, take your pick. All ratings indicate Toyota as having better reliability ratings than Jeeps.
I'll repeat my question. what makes you think new Jeeps have a lower reliability than old ones?

Understood :)
2017 jeep with an early 2000's antenna lol.
the $60,000 Ram pickup trucks have 'em too :)
What type of antenna would you rather see on a jeep Wrangler?
Did you sell your car???
No I still have it.
Does this addition have a back up camera I’m looking to purchase this exact vehicle but not having A backup camera is a deal breaker please let me know
It doesn’t but not expensive to install.

I'm sorry to bug you but can you please do a Ford Explorer Limited review?
Yes but it will most likely be when the 2018 models are released.

Do they not have uconnect? I recently bought one and it does not have it

+christopher kibler Thanks:)
Does this have a backup camera?
no
"Its more than a radio" man jeep must be the ONLY car in the world in 2018 that still doesnt have bluetooth music. Huge lack..

UGH just UGH
Khalifa - that's the sound you'll be making once you take this baby to Moab lol
It’s a off road utility vehicle not luxury car. Like Jeep Cherokee.. wrangler isn’t meant to be. I don’t think people will get that..

I love the plugs in the jeep cause when you get water in it you can drain the water out

I was attempting to joke with you considering our previous conversations but whatever.
As your reply demonstrates... you are too dishonest and manipulative to "debate" with in the comment section. Already tried.
