Fellow Elliott Smith super fan here, even though I have to cut down how much I listen because I don't want my wife to leave me. Seriously though, cool video. Peace.
This video was so sweet, I've been obsessed with Elliott's music for almost 2 years now and no artist has been able to capture my heart like he has. And I agree that it's his authenticity to himself and his rawness that makes him so likable, I feel like if you like Elliott's music you're liking and relating to him as a person as well on some level and it helps creates that deep connection people have to his sound. Great stuff will subscribe! P.s. My favourite song is probably St. Ides Heaven though it changes every few months.
@@quipy. yeah I feel like my favorite Elliott Smith song changes all the time which is the hallmark of a great artist, he really has no bad songs it’s kind of crazy
epic video. my favorite elliott song right now is going nowhere... all time maybe either/or or no name #1. i wish i was old enough to listen to him while he was alive, but so glad to know him now
I got my mom to take me to his show when I was in high school as I wasn't old enough to get in on my own. He was, unsurprisingly, fantastic live. It is a really special memory.

@@indianaivan no 🧢
@@JoshSimenskyit’s crazy how prolific he was and the quality of music he dropped in 10 years. his eponymous album will forever be one of my favorites
@@indianaivan The fact that all the songs he cut from albums, that ended up on New Moon, were better than most people's best songs is also insane.

I love how you distilled the ~values~ that Elliott represents (not just surface sonic qualities or cultural associations).
Thank you! I honestly appreciate that.
