I’m now in my 50’s and every time I switch a decade older I have to have the talk with myself, bodies change …. babies, eating habits, illness, jobs and just life in general and you know what it’s a privilege to be able to get older.. no one cares as everyone really is just looking at themselves.. and we are all bloody lovely 🥰 xxxxxx

Im really liking Taylor's new album and like you, Folklore is my favourite. It was actually the first of her albums I listened to all of. Was just a general fan before that, now I love her! Glad you went ahead and posted this vlog, enjoyed it as usual ❤
Same, I never really listened before folklore. I think that's some of the criticism she's receiving now though because this album feels like folklore and evermore. So I've heard anyway, I can't bring myself to listen to it 😂

I’d never listened to TSswifts music until I saw her on NPR Tiny Desk Concerts. I was impressed. I think music can be special to someone at a particular time and place in their lives. It conjures up so many emotions, memories….listen to the music that brings you joy and always listen to new artists ❤

The too good to go bags are so good! I picked one up from a cafe today and got Some cakes and sandwiches- I freeze them and get them out of toasties later on when I don’t want to think of making lunch for work

Ah it makes me sad that you were worried about wearing shorts, you're perfectly lovely but understand the self-conscious habit, especially appearing online. Glad you carried on, we need more normalcy!! I get more obsessed with TTPD every listen!!! 'How did it end?' just makes me tear up for her, I can't imagine feeling so broken and then compounding that by millions knowing when word gets out your heartbreak becomes tabloid fodder 😢 there are some breathtaking lines on this album.

I love the too good to go app when I travel. You always need to grab food and eat and this way you get it a lot cheaper and save food waste. Although once I went to Costa in the middle of the day and it was just food they were selling regularly.

I think normally artists drip feed music, then drop the album, so i can understand why its so jarring for Taylor to release 31 new songs in one go.

Your talking about your body imperfections makes me remember how I was when I was your age. Now about to turn 60, I have the bumps and lumps and I’m proud of them. Because I know I have never been perfect. Having babies also change your body. The ideal body does not exist.

I'm not particularly a Taylor Swift fan but I do think that she is a clever girl, well woman now. She can do what she likes music wise I think and probably pick up new fans. Longer term fans mightn't like what she is doing now, but she is also not a teenager now. She has grown and her fans will too.

Totally agree with you, Madeleine! This is Taylor's art and she's writing constantly anyway - why not release it when millions people are ready and eager to consume it! Alex, she wouldn't be putting out all the re-recordings if she didn't have to. Alas, she had no other option to own her music because they were sold out from under her, despite her offering to pay the same price.. for her own music. We wouldn't say to RUclipsrs like yourselves, "go away and recharge", "low quality", just because we don't prefer a few vlogs. This is your way of using your creativity, your way of expressing yourselves, your way of processing (not to mention, your career). She has said time and time again, writing is how she processes her life experiences and manages her mental health. You can choose to just not consume it if it isn't of interest to you. There's no need to direct someone else how to manage their art and career. :)
Just wanted to say that I like the shorter videos. I would rather catch up more often with a shorter video.
I appreciate all the ballads on Taylor's new album but as much as I would like to I just cannot find myself wanting to go back to it. I am missing those bangers like from Midnights for example 😢. This record for me is a tad boring and lots of songs are similar to each other. I can see people love it and listen all the time but on the other side there are critics' reviews that are not full of applaud.
I think maybe that’s why Taylor has such a huge array of fans, because her albums do vary a lot. I love all her music but tend to love the more emo albums haha. I liked Midnights but it wasn’t my fave, but this album, Folklore and Evermore are just dreamy to me. And of course 1989 because I grew up with that in my early twenties. But I can totally see why some people wouldn’t vibe with this album. Maybe give it another listen though because honestly with each listen it gets better for me!
@@MadeleineOlivia I agree probably need more listen! I did like Folklore and Evermore too just had a feeling songs there were more varied. Down bad and black dog I also liked, the lyrics on black dog really hit hard in the post breakup department!
Btw. Would you mind doing a short chat in one of the videos about your impressions on the electric car you guys have? General stuff like overall
impressions, mile range, charging needs on average and if you charge at home or around the city etc. In my household we are entering an electric car era very soon so was curious about it. We even tested the latest electric Volvo, which I think you guys have one of the earlier models of.
Taylor Swift had to rewrite all of her music because she lost her catalog of music thru a secret bidding war with a music producer. So she’s trying to rebuild her catalog $$$ and she changed up her old songs just enough to reclaim and make the old catalog worthless to the person who outbid her

@@MadeleineOlivia it’s that tiktok of what non tswift fans think tswift sounds like. I just don’t like the lyricism at all. It sounds so contrived and unoriginal. But I am glad that fans have a place to get together to enjoy her music. Like the cultural impact she’s had for people and their sense of community is nice and I get it. I just personally don’t enjoy her music.
I think she is redoing albums because of a conflict with her album label.
Out of interest not a criticism- would bhajis and samosas labelled veggie not contain egg and possibly milk? Most bhajis are bound with egg unless specifically stated that they are vegan. I'm vegan myself and I don't worry about eating foods that are made in factories or shops that also have non vegan ingredients but I'm really wary when things are from an Indian and labelled veggie because they usually contain eggs and or milk and when I've asked if they are vegan I've often been told yes because they've not understood the nuance untill I've explained it means not just fish and meat.
Please dont worry wat you look like no one has the perfect body you are normal not like the others
I agree with Alex - too much music too low quality!!!! In my opinion Beyoncé, Taylor, Ariana ec. are sooooo overrated - realy bad music , the songs sounds the same. On the stage is show not music happening.

Alex's opinion of the too much music...no one is forcing you to listen to it, so why are people bothered? And would just point out that if it were a man producing this much, no one would bat an eye. A man would be praised for his work ethic.

There are too many good songs on this new Taylor Swift album that are too good!! I'm slowly listening to it for the fourth time and it's so hard to rank!! Also Folklore 🤍 is one of my 🔝 3 albums of hers I'm glad you gave it the praise it deserves!!
