- Doornroosje, De Schone Slaapster - Eenmaal in mijn droom (Nederlandse 1959)
Finally this dub has been found ! A special thanks to Ilse for sharing this treasure of Dutch dubbing with me and for Joey that helped me with the lyrics and dialogues in Ducth ! :D
This dubbing was release on April 14th 1960, reissued in December 1979 and July 1986 and released for the last time in the 1986 Dutch VHS. It was replaced in 1995 because the dub used the old Dutch language.
Sometimes the lyrics sounds meaningless, that's because they use a Dutch that isn't used in nowdays, so, some sentences are incomprehensible and have a weird translation, like I said before.
I've restored until this moment only the songs, the VHS have a mono audio and has a loud buzz in the background. I'll try to restore the full dubbing and then create an 7.1 DTS audio file.
The font that I used (Enchanted) unfortunately didn't recognized the apostrophe in the phases, so I decided to add the correct lyrics in the comments. I'm sorry if I made some mistake in the translation.
Cast:
Aurora: Maria de Booy (speaking) & Christine Spierenburg (singing)
Prince Philip: Coen Flink (speaking) & Bert Robbe (singing)

Lyrics:
Ik ken jou
Wij wandelden samen
In mijn droom
Ik ken jou
Je blikken verwarmen mij
Weer als in mijn droom
En al weet ik wel
Dat dromen maar zelden
Waarheid zijn
En toch juist als toen
Weet ik wat je zult doen
Je zult houden van mij
Zoals je ook zei
Toen in mijn droom
En toch juist als toen
Weet ik wat je zult doen
Je zult houden van mij
Zoals je ook zei
Toen in mijn droom
Ik ken jou
Wij wandelden samen
In mijn droom
Ik ken jou
Je blikken verwarmen mij
Weer als in mijn droom
En al weet ik wel
Dat dromen maar zelden
Waarheid zijn
En toch juist als toen
Weet ik wat je zult doen
Je zult houden van mij
Zoals je ook zei
Toen in mijn droom
wow
What an amazing dub! That poor audio quality somehow makes it even more classic and interesting
Oooh this version sounds wonderful~
I'm a sucker for old dubs like this.
+JCee188 Yes, Aurora and Philip have wonderful voices
Dit is mijn oma! Loekie Landwehr. Vorig jaar overleden jammer genoeg.
Omg, the Cinderella's voice in Dutch of 1950 was your Grandma???? Omg
Ze heeft verder v olgens mij geen andere films ingesproken. Maar ze kon ontzettend mooi zingen. En had er zeker veel mee kunnen doen
Overigens was haar echte naam Louise volgens mij. Maar iedereen kende haar en sprak haar aan als Loekie
@@SPLATZEL yep! She was great
Amazing!! The first line is "Pardon, ik mag van tante niet met vreemden spreken".
+Dutch2222 Thank you very much, I’ll correct in the lyrics in the comments!! :)
I have this version on my tape. My favorite sweet voice of Aurora ❤❤❤
What an elegant and graceful voice! Maria is quickly becoming a favourite Aurora ❤ Thanks for uploading :)
I have the Japanese 1960 dub in very good quality. They released a CD in Japan in 1988 that contains the audio of the entire movie.
OMG that’s fantastic!! Can you please send me the audio file from this CD please?
I can send it to you via email if you’d like.
@Tommy Pappas
Sure, my e-mail is: leoforlii12@hotmail.com
Hi, did you get my email??
I didn’t sadly
Congrats on 1K subs! ❤️
Thank you!!
Did you take Maria de Booy's name from my site or wiki or did you receive a proof she was indeed Aurora in this dub?
Ilse write me a email one month ago telling that she talked with Paula Majoor (that was supposed Aurora's speaking voice) and she said that she didn't dub her, that was Maria de Booy (speaking & singing) and Maleficent was Félicité Sciarone. She contacted Wim Povel (the Dutch translator) son and he said that have a box with some papers and informations of his father career and Disney works. Maybe he has the full cast information!! As soon as she answer me I'll let you know! :)
She send me the full VHSrip of the movie and in the credits have informations about the techinical cast, do you want a screenshot for you website?
@@SnowWhiteBR Definitely would love to have a screenshot of it yeah!
And yeah I've talked to Ida Bons as well - who was supposedly Aurora's speaking actually from what I knew - and she told me she wasn't part of it. But I thought Maria's name was just an assumption. Paula Majoor did say it was Maria the voice of Aurora?
@charguigou I’m sorry, Paula was supposed to be the singing voice**
She said that Paula gave to her this too names, she’ll confirm with Maria that information or wait Wim’s son answer her about this mystery box.
I have another information to your site too, the Brazilian TV dub of Alice in Wonderland was actually made in 1995 and aired in December 24th 1995 as a Christmas Special (it was the first time that the movie was shown in a Brazilian TV channel too). The movie was bought in January 1993 for the TV Channel ‘SBT’ but shown only in 1995 (this dub was release only in this airing). I’m 1997,1998 and 1999 they re-aired the movie with the 1951 dub. I found this airing in a VHS record and as soon as possible I’ll share some scenes and the cast in my channel (I discover about 95% of this dub cast) :)
I just don’t have informations about Peter Pan’s airing and dub (that was made and aired for this TV Channel)...
@@SnowWhiteBR Okay so Paula Majoor said it was Maria.. I wonder how she would know that then..
Oh thanks a lot for that information! I'll correct the date on my site. So it was bought in 1993 but dubbed and shown only in 1995 ? It's so cool you've got the cast, can't wait to see that! And so it's from a VHS? And the songs aren't dubbed right ?
@charguigou I didn’t understand how Paula have this information too... I hope that she found some information in Wim’s archives and we finally know the real voice actress that gave life to Aurora in Nederland !
Yes, the movie was bought in 1993 but dubbed and shown only in 1995. Alice was Adriana Torres and the songs we’re left in English :) Friday I’ll send to you that folder on mega with informations about the Brazilian cast. I also create a document on Word explaining some information about the dubbing or Cast information to help you!
Best wishes
You're welcome! ;)
Once upon a dream 💖
I guees is the mative lenguage of aurora
I dont think is french because i see a forest in Netherlands ans the forest it looks so equal at tne movie
Could you explain to me what's this "old Dutch" they're using in the dub? Is it an old dialect for dubs or something?
It’s the same language, but some sentences and words has changed through the years :)
@@SnowWhiteBR Okay, thank you!
@@vicmonteir0 it's *archaic*, old-formal vocabulary.
@@will7922 i see, ty for the response
Hi, I'm new to your channel, I've already subscribed, I really like your videos, you could do a multilanguage of elsa's ice palace, the scene where Anna and elsa talk, please, it would be nice to see it.
Hi, unfortunately I don't have a way to edit videos right now... But I can do it in the future!! :D
Hello, dear, how are you? I was wondering if you could help me to transcribe the lyrics of a short part of a Disney song for a one-line multilanguage :) I know enough Portuguese to attempt translating songs, but sadly I'm not very keen on the orthographic rules to faithfully write down the lyrics. I'm sorry for bothering you, but I couldn't think of anyone else. Thanks in advance!
Hi dear, sure! It’s a BIG please help you!! What’s the song? :)
@@SnowWhiteBR Thank you so much, really ❤ This is the song, it would be great if you could help me transcribe the lyrics from second 1:09 to 1:34 ruclips.net/video/X8CVSB3qJyE/видео.html
You're always welcome!!
@@SnowWhiteBR Thank you really really much dear ♥
Hast du den komplett in dieser Fassung?
Ja das tue ich

Is this mine? Also you know what’s strange every old movie got redubbed because of the old dutch language but they never redubbed dumbo or alice in wonderland those sound terrible especially the last one you can barely understand anything anymore.
Hey, no, this isn’t your version. Some months ago, someone send me his VHSrip from this dub :) Alice and Dumbo still have their original versions? That’s amazing!! But it’s really strange that they redubbed others movies and kept others... I receive the original 1953 Dutch version of Peter Pan and they sound amazing, but the person that send me said that somethings are hard to understand for the old language! A shame that they didn’t kept Cinderella, I love Cinderella’s and Lady Tremaine original voices (even loving the new voices)
Snow White i would like to listen to that peter pan version can I have it never heard it before. Also, can you keep in touch with me via fb again? I lost you in my contact list
I just yesterday tried to contact you, because of the fact I have an VHS player where I can hear the movie of “doornroosje” much clearer on, unfortunately I have no capture device since I moved in with my boyfriend and only have a tv in the attic, no capture device or computer. But I can record some samples via my iPhone it sounds good better than you would expect.
@Dutch Nostalgia Sure!! :) As soon as I get it, I send to you. For now, I have only the opening and some excerpts recorded while the movies was screen (this dub is avaliable in a 16mm print). Yes, I lost your contact from my list too! My fb is Leonardo Forli Guertas
@Dutch Nostalgia Oh that’s amazing, a better version of Doornroosje!! :D I would love to hear some samples of it recorded with your iPhone, mine version the audio it’s a little
stuffy sound unfortunately
