I heard some other owners too complained almost every points you mentioned here. Yamaha need to take serious steps to solve these permanently and add some basic things like: 6th gear, oil cooling, better instrument cluster, long durable spares, etc. Atleast when launching in BS6 guise...
Just the other day i was riding back home post-sunset and it had rained a bit. At some point, there was only an FZ25 riding right beside me thru a dark path. I switched off the lights on my bike to see how much the FZ25's LED light was illuminating. TO my horror, it was quite literally non-existant. I always suspected it and it turned out to be true. The 6000k colour temperature light on it is absolutely horrible on wet road. And road illumination is very very important to me. Nice sum up by Dhanil. The bike is quite nice. But imagine how even nicer it would have been for long-distance with 6 gears. Or say slightly better instrument console. This bike could have been a runaway success if they would have added small but essential features. Currently, i feel Yamaha seems to be destined to Axe their own leg with products and pricing that is absolutely bizarre. If they added all the mentioned things and priced it 1.5, it would have been a compelling buy. I will stick to my 10-year-old FZ16 which still runs like a gem. And hope that Suzuki brings out naked 250cc version of Gixxer SF.
I've always wanted this bike as my primary city commuter and within MH highway machine. But others expressed the lack of 6th gear, larger info screen and slipper clutch as deal breakers. On second thoughts, even my car doesn't have a 6th gear. I guess I'm sorted. Your long-term review cements the deal for me Dhanil.
A little bit more power like 25 to 26 bhp A moderate looking console And 6th gear or I would say cruising gear Add those ingredients and the Fz25 is complete
I used to own a 220F. I have ridden an FZ25. I would go for FZ25 any day over a Pulsar 220F, due to better rearview mirrors, faster 0-100 time, lesser vibrations, lighter clutch, a better exhaust note, Fuel Injection, and most importantly better fuel efficiency.
I have never ridden P220F and tried FZ25 couple of times, Yamaha is known for butter smooth engine and FZ is no exception, I enjoyed riding it. But there are few things I didn't like: 1) headlight is attractive but visibility is not enough. 2) lot of wind blast after 80kmph. 3) Instrument console is informative but small, gear position indicator missing. 4) lack of 6th gear missing, if one considers for highway rides.
The fact is that in the poll , most of them will select the bike which is been reviewed on the channel , and if the same bike is shown in another poll with competition no one will select it in the poll 😂😂 more poll for fz25 here 😅
Waiting for a real world road test and eventually a long-term review of the Suzuki Gixxer SF 250........the rain ravaged roads in and around Mumbai will be a perfect test for it
Just give the r15 instrument cluster... #yamaha #fz25 In this price range it's the best... -20.6bhp+20.nm torque -Dual channel ABS -New exhaust (old one had ruating problem) But with liquid cool(FI)+6th gear+25ps of power+MT15 console its will be the beast
FZ 25 has two major problems ... Rear break pads worn out every 4000 kms.... And in Yamaha the cost is Rs ...950 .... And Rusting over the exhaust near engine .... ☹️ Baaki bike achchhi hai
i have the 2019 version.. the rear brake lever has been positioned a bit lower in this.. you could swap the new lever i guess for the brake issue. and for the exaust , the pipe has also been changed.. try swapping this too.. if it's possible
I have ridden 8.5k Kms still not changed the break pads( front and back ). It's the slight adjustment that should be made so that I doesn't worn out. Ask the Yamaha service centre guys to adjust and it ll do a good job.
i watch the video as i thought it is R15 review, i continued watching as i thought it is R15 review, i watch till the end as i thought it is R15 review..i am fan of this fz25 but V3, that one is love
FZ25 really looks like a logical choice. Look forward for your review of the new 2020 FZ/FZS 25. That said , Dhanil , the exhaust pipe looks really , really rusted. Is it rust? or mud?
How is the suspension? does it perform well on bad roads? heard that the rear suspension is little stiff. I've been searching for this on almost every review video i saw in youtube, NO ONE has explained it clearly.
I have done 12k km on the bike and must say that the bike outperforms every other bike on street. This bike is for a mature audience though who dont believe in showoff and just want to get the job done. And this bike... my friend !! This bike is a wolf in the clothes of a sheep.
The Exhaust header Pipe rusting issue. after just 1 year. it looks odd. I know this issue has been solved in new edition. Other than this ,bike is Lord of Streets.
Confused with R15 and FZ25. Which one shall I buy.? Right now I own FZs V2, And I want to upgrade CC but the looks of R15 is Damn Good. Can't resist the looks of R15 . Confuse 🤔
@@kibosuminaga3588 MT 15 is also superb, but many people said its high speed stability is not that good. It feels flighty at high speeds itseems. Do factor that as well when making a decision.
@@kibosuminaga3588 Welcome. But have you ridden the R15 before? For atleast 50-60 km? The seating position is great for highways, but, it sucks for stop and go City traffic.
If you don't mind the crouched supersport riding position n if you take your bike to track racing or love corner carving most of the times n want a full fairing bike with 10kmph higher top speed, then R15 V3.. R15 has better mileage of 5-10kmpl too.. has more features like very nice instrument console.. FZ25 is faster to accelerate to 100.. slightly smoother engine.. much more comfortable bike.. with great pillion comfort.. ideal for long hours in the saddle..
Please highlight the cons of bikes :- 1.rattling problems (in Yamaha 😵) even headlight rattles. 2. Strange sound coming from engine (with possible reliability conserns) 3. Worst after sale support.

Please start doing more of such long term review
Beast in 250cc bike😍
I've always wanted this bike as my primary city commuter and within MH highway machine. But others expressed the lack of 6th gear, larger info screen and slipper clutch as deal breakers. On second thoughts, even my car doesn't have a 6th gear. I guess I'm sorted.
Your long-term review cements the deal for me Dhanil.
That is the point.. lack of 6th gear is bullshit.. The FZ25 doesn't need a 6th gear.. I own one n I vouch for it..
My Bike 😍😍😍😍😍😍 The Lord of the Streets 😎
Love you for the review thank you motor beam
A little bit more power like 25 to 26 bhp
A moderate looking console
And 6th gear or I would say cruising gear
Add those ingredients and the Fz25 is complete
Love the review bought it just last month
long term review in 3 months impressive
Excellent review
This is one of best review
Nice one!!
How do you compare P220f with FZ25 for both city and highway? Both have quite similar power and torque band??
I used to own a 220F. I have ridden an FZ25. I would go for FZ25 any day over a Pulsar 220F, due to better rearview mirrors, faster 0-100 time, lesser vibrations, lighter clutch, a better exhaust note, Fuel Injection, and most importantly better fuel efficiency.
Fz just runs away from the p220 in City conditions highway top speed is similar though but fz is much smoother
Outdated Bajaj vs a Yamaha! No comparison.. sorry..
I have never ridden P220F and tried FZ25 couple of times, Yamaha is known for butter smooth engine and FZ is no exception, I enjoyed riding it.
But there are few things I didn't like:
1) headlight is attractive but visibility is not enough.
2) lot of wind blast after 80kmph.
3) Instrument console is informative but small, gear position indicator missing.
4) lack of 6th gear missing, if one considers for highway rides.
Very similar, FZ25 is faster in 0-100, although near the top speeds the 220 maybe better.
Do you recommend this bike for an absolute beginner?
yeah 1 gear is missing..but I'm satisfied with its torque engine🔥😍🔥❤
Thank you so much dhanil..Nice review, loved it👌.Bro can we expect version 2 upgrade of this bike next year?(2020)????
I own an fz25, I'm gonna burn those mrf bias ply tyres as a sacrifice to the motorcycle God's to give me more confidence in the corners. 👌
The fact is that in the poll , most of them will select the bike which is been reviewed on the channel , and if the same bike is shown in another poll with competition no one will select it in the poll 😂😂 more poll for fz25 here 😅
Running successfully at 15k n awsome many more to go
Luv this beast 💙💪
Superb Video..Help out with Gear shift issues
Waiting for a real world road test and eventually a long-term review of the Suzuki Gixxer SF 250........the rain ravaged roads in and around Mumbai will be a perfect test for it
Most practical sports bike...👌
4:10 what the hell is he saying? 😂😂
I think he said 22 NM(newton meters) on the crank
20Nm on crank, 20bhp on hand
ROFL
Just give the r15 instrument cluster...
#yamaha #fz25
In this price range it's the best... -20.6bhp+20.nm torque
-Dual channel ABS
-New exhaust (old one had ruating problem)
But with liquid cool(FI)+6th gear+25ps of power+MT15 console its will be the beast
Which one you prefer Yamaha mt 15 or this one.
Bro fz 250 vs royal Enfield 350 classic which one is best 🤔🤔😊
FZ 25 has two major problems ...
Rear break pads worn out every 4000 kms.... And in Yamaha the cost is Rs ...950 .... And Rusting over the exhaust near engine .... ☹️ Baaki bike achchhi hai
i have the 2019 version.. the rear brake lever has been positioned a bit lower in this.. you could swap the new lever i guess for the brake issue. and for the exaust , the pipe has also been changed.. try swapping this too.. if it's possible
The exhaust pipe issue is permanently resolved now in 2019 ABS model..
@@pravinmurthy yess
My rear pads are still fine at 10k km
I have ridden 8.5k Kms still not changed the break pads( front and back ). It's the slight adjustment that should be made so that I doesn't worn out. Ask the Yamaha service centre guys to adjust and it ll do a good job.
Genius will take this value king
Its Relaibility is 100%. Its value for money bike. 0 to 100kms per hour just in 8 seconds.
No views!!4likes...THE POWER OF #MOTORBEAMERS
are those extra sets of LED as mentioned legal for bikes....... specialy in NCR
i watch the video as i thought it is R15 review, i continued watching as i thought it is R15 review, i watch till the end as i thought it is R15 review..i am fan of this fz25 but V3, that one is love
You stupid 😂
That Yamaha Logo on the Bag will keep Going .Trust me I have got mine replaced 3 times
Wish Yamaha release this in the Philippines
FZ25 really looks like a logical choice. Look forward for your review of the new 2020 FZ/FZS 25.
That said , Dhanil , the exhaust pipe looks really , really rusted. Is it rust? or mud?
Very nice and very versatile bike...
Don't u think this bike needs some modification like its instrument cluster, headlight etc, then it will be great
How is the suspension? does it perform well on bad roads? heard that the rear suspension is little stiff. I've been searching for this on almost every review video i saw in youtube, NO ONE has explained it clearly.
How is the off-road performance ??
I have done 12k km on the bike and must say that the bike outperforms every other bike on street. This bike is for a mature audience though who dont believe in showoff and just want to get the job done.
And this bike... my friend !!
This bike is a wolf in the clothes of a sheep.
I am confused between dominar & this please suggest me
The Exhaust header Pipe rusting issue. after just 1 year. it looks odd. I know this issue has been solved in new edition. Other than this ,bike is Lord of Streets.
FZ25 abs version verithanam... 🔥.verithanam... 🔥
Fz 25 is a best commuter and a tourer
Great bike total satisfaction
Outstanding bike
Too bad we can’t use bike lower than 400cc on highways here in the Philippines. 😌😌😌Otherwise this bike is so beautiful and impressive!
Interesting rule really!
Hey Faisal ur review always helpful for me but now I want gixxer 250 Street fighter review. i hope u will do
Lacks 6th gare and instrument cluster look outdated
Mindlessly ran over the poor bottle at 3:56 😁
You r a good speaker bro
Confused with R15 and FZ25. Which one shall I buy.? Right now I own FZs V2, And I want to upgrade CC but the looks of R15 is Damn Good. Can't resist the looks of R15 . Confuse 🤔
R15 hardware and quality is superior to this shit bike. Don't buy FZ25. Its just a commuter that costs as much as a sport bike
@@ajaykaushik2272 I agree. MT15 is also on my list. Thank you 👊👍
@@kibosuminaga3588
MT 15 is also superb, but many people said its high speed stability is not that good. It feels flighty at high speeds itseems. Do factor that as well when making a decision.
@@ajaykaushik2272ok sure. I think overall I may head towards R15. Thank you for your suggestions 👍 Appreciated
@@kibosuminaga3588
Welcome. But have you ridden the R15 before? For atleast 50-60 km?
The seating position is great for highways, but, it sucks for stop and go City traffic.
Help me motobeam , which bike should i go for R15 v3 or Fz25 ??
If you don't mind the crouched supersport riding position n if you take your bike to track racing or love corner carving most of the times n want a full fairing bike with 10kmph higher top speed, then R15 V3.. R15 has better mileage of 5-10kmpl too.. has more features like very nice instrument console..
FZ25 is faster to accelerate to 100.. slightly smoother engine.. much more comfortable bike.. with great pillion comfort.. ideal for long hours in the saddle..
Please highlight the cons of bikes :-
1.rattling problems (in Yamaha 😵) even headlight rattles.
2. Strange sound coming from engine (with possible reliability conserns)
3. Worst after sale support.
Lol lol no one will believe you mr sanghi
It does have that sound. Nothing to be worried about. Just that 2V single cylinder engines don't sound so good.
Bhai, is that bike still available in 2023?
Osm video bro really yamaha Fz25 200 is good looking and great performance bike
When u say not good at top end, can you ride confidently at 100kmph?
should have done the abs version.
I own this bike and it’s a beautiful machine ❤️
Yes fz25.
