i love that the manufacturers are making these kind of products, in my opinion this is exactly the niche where we need more suitable devices. hardware is now really at a point where entry level devices can provide great user experience, especially with an OS like Chrome. love it!!
The ASUS Chromebook CM14 Flip is my go-to for work and entertainment. It's fast, responsive, and the display quality is fantastic with mediatek Kompanio. This laptop has exceeded my expectations.
Can you maybe tell me more about the screen quality? I've seen some lcd screens on laptops recently and they just suck. The viewing angles, contrast, colors and blacks just downright look like ancient technology. In my country, there is no store to go check out chromebooks so kinda have to pull the trigger online and get one. Want it for my dad to do very minimal browser work so the screen is the only thing that really matters.
I love the sleek design of the Asus Chromebook M14/Flip, and the Mediatek Kompanio chipset takes it to the next level. Multitasking and streaming have never been smoother!
I ran Moonlight on my OG Lenovo Duet the other day, with Discord on another virtual desktop to play Valheim with my friend. Moonlight ran flawlessly but Discord struggled a little when sharing screens. I was just happy to see it work at all, and hey it was good enough! Interesting to see more ARM laptops coming. For me I'd like an x86 because of Steam and Android Studio, but other than that they're great!
I thought 2020-2021 was the golden age of Chromebooks...I was wrong, the age is just starting to begin, can't wait for Steam to launch for the higher end ones and if this is "low end" sign me up!
i was going to get this laptop on christmas because im going to be sticking to the chromebooks and try to run windows apps like steam because i was searching if it was 32 bit because the chromebook im using right now is 64 bit and i cant run steam and i just want to test the specs for garrys mod so i can have fun playing 32 bit games.
I haven't kept up with MediaTek processors. Are they much faster than they used to be? I remember not being very impressed with them a few years ago, pretty much across the board.
is this an lcd or led screen? i am still using my chromebook flip c302 which has an led screen and its amazing and I am afraid to go back to an lcd one. I recently saw an acer chromebook 14, last years model and the screen was just horrible and it was lcd, such bad colors and viewing angles
Sorry, is the software that can be run on Chrome OS sufficient for typing assignments in lectures? What software has full features like Office Word? I have difficulty stopping using Office, because there are other software that cannot add captions for images and some find it difficult to do custom numbering when working on papers.

Upgrading from a 4GB Chromebook. The 8GB RAM in the CM14 is a big selling point for me! Multitasking nightmare will be over

I need a new Chromebook and this one is definitely going to be on my radar coming up.

This is actually a very popular option in the market and honestly, the specs of the device are really good with the Mediatek chip it uses.
They put Tallinn, the capital of Estonia, to the wallpaper, is awesome to see! I hope the chromebook is as good as the city :)
From what i have seen of this device that it also has a 128gb SSD! ON A CHROMEBOOK! Crazy!

How did you connect the Chromebook with the tv?
Fanless - always gets my attention . This looks very interesting , can`t wait to see a review.
100% agree, once I started using my fanless chromebook I realised how bad fans are on most laptops
@@aussiegruber86 which model?

True that. Mediatek chips have progressed very quickly and now they power billions of devices in just a year. That's quite some progress.
Need a new travel Chromebook - is the Asus CM14 with the Kompanio 520 processor lightweight and portable?
How does the graphics performance of a Mediatek processor compare to other processors?
Chrome Unboxed Thanks Much !

MS Word is free for the browser based version.
That looks cool 😎
Is anyone coming out with a Chrome tablet this year?
You had me at "Fanless" but took me out at "lower end"...
Hinges break on these
Glossy screen, 250nits, no thanks. Lenovo Flex 3i 12.2 is a better choice.
I have never liked MidiaTech processors but ok!
