@jimmyblackmon Thank you sir for answering. That is what i have been tinking in past couple of years: if the arrow flyes fine, that is important, not the looks or perceptions. I shoot arrows without fleching and find out that THESE arrows works best in full length and that way i get them littlebit heavier to getting smoother feeling for my longbow and also steadier flight. I am shooting pure instinctive so it doesnt matter how the point of the arrow is. Have nice day!
@Trophybow1 That riser is cut past center 3/16" I leave the arrows full length because I am a gap shooter and the longer shaft reduces my point on range for 3D and hunting. For field I want a long point on and I want a very fast arrow so I cut them down. Don't worry about looks or perception. What is important is a tuned arrow. Best of luck.
@Warbeast911 Yes, it's 62" Balance is fine for hunting. I like long bows 66+" for target. I would never use short limbs. A bow under 62" is naturally squirrely in the hand. The Pinnacle is a longer riser so it should feel much better to you.
Wonderful shooting. I am amazed how well arrows flew even the difference of the weight. I am wondering how much your bow is effecting it, meaning is that absolutely center shot, or is it similar than any modern longbows and recurves? ( not allowed to be exactly center shots if talking IFAA-rules etc). And may i ask what you are thinking about long arrows at the moment? Some recommends to cut arrows to draw length. I shoot full length arrows (32") even i am pulling 27,5" because they fly straight
Glad I found your video feeds, Great stuff Jimmy! Notice you have three under and next to any cant in the bow and your arrow stays on the shelf. You cut your arrows an inch longer then draw behind riser or you like them longer for gap point of aim? I have a Bob Lee Exotic Recurve 60" 47lbs coming next week so I'l be checking out your tips a lot, putting down my training wheel bows for a bit. Thank you for your info, awesome info feeds.☺
It's hard to say without seeing the whole setup in action. Try it and see, but normally nock left point right and right of center impacts means weak so increasing point weight should weaken it even more. Just try and see what happens.
Helloo jimmy , i just got my TT black max carbon med 55# and am planning to get the hoyt excel 23 now , from ur experience what is the perfect arrows for me to get ? :)
@jimmyblackmon have a titan myself, but have short limbs, and not satisfied with the balance in my hand, but cant get the reason for that, my bernardini or pinnacle are just fine
Can you help me jimmy when I fit a Brodhead it shoots low, I have lowered nocking point as far as I feel I can but still not matching the flight of field points is this limb angles ?
Too many variables for me to give you the "perfect" arrow. I'd recommend you go to the arrow calculators from the arrow company you want to use. Just go to their website and look up their spine calculator and enter your info. Sorry but I'd be stabbing in the dark.

I didn't talk much about trajectory and point weight but you can clearly see the difference in 75 gr. vs. 250 gr. at 25+ yards.
great video. you are a machine

@jimmyblackmon titan + short is my compact setup for fun, for comp i use long + 19" mamba, but pretty good shootin, other videos also very informative
@Bassturd100 I shoot long limbs. I like the bow to be as long as I can get it.

@jimmyblackmon how u get 64" with a 17" titan riser?
wouldnt long limbs make a 62inch bow?
@jimmyblackmon have a titan myself, but have short limbs, and not satisfied with the balance in my hand, but cant get the reason for that, my bernardini or pinnacle are just fine
up happy with that bow? what lenght of lims is it?
Can you help me jimmy when I fit a Brodhead it shoots low, I have lowered nocking point as far as I feel I can but still not matching the flight of field points is this limb angles ?
thanks man
Do you have to account for the extra length a broadhead is on your arrow when you are gap shooting?
I do shoot them, but depending on the broadhead it really doesn't make much difference. You can gap off the end of the shaft.
