Ryuga, The Dragon Emperor aka the man who walked before Sukuna could run. After seeing the unexpected blow up of my beyblade power scaling video, today i wanted to go ahead and speak about a specific character indepthly and just how much of a monster they really were, that character obviously being Ryuga. He was not only by far the strongest character we've seen aside from Nemesis, hes cooler so he's better trust, but Ryuga out of any beyblade character probably represents strength the best and as the series goes on, we see him go from your average supervillain to a reliable ally who was a key in pushing the generation of beyblade forward. And with that being said, let's talk about just how powerful Ryuga really is. Now I kinda went over a lot of the stat stuff in my beyblade video. I wanna firstly get into not only L Dragos abilities and its evolution throughout the series, but also analyze how this man is so built differently. Firstly L Drago is a legendary bay that can reverse rotate and is known for feeding off the power of its opponents. We see specifically the more anger or rage you try to harness, the more L Drago just absorbs which allows Ryuga to increase his power exponentially. He’d go on to defeat the likes of Gingka Kyoya Yu Tsubasa Kenta Jack and even went toe to toe with Rago and Nemesis. Lighting L Drago would evolve into Meteor L Drago and then become L Drago Destructor. A bey that surpassed Storm Pegasus Galaxy Pegasus Rock Leone Libra Sagitario Ray Striker and every Legendary Bey. Ryuga is a character that appears in the Metal Saga anime and manga series. He debuts as the main antagonist of the first season, Beyblade: Metal Fusion. As the series progresses, Ryuga largely remains independent of the main cast, although he often assists them against a common enemy. In Beyblade: Metal Masters, Ryuga returns with his newly evolved Meteo L-Drago , which he evolved on his own through intense training and mastery of L-Drago's power. In Beyblade: Metal Fury, Ryuga inherits one of the Star Fragments, becoming a Legendary Blader and evolving his Bey into L-Drago Destructor. He is also one of the Four Season Bladers, holding the power of the Summer Constellation. In the anime, he is joined by Kenta Yumiya, who attempts to convince him to join the main cast to defeat Nemesis. In Beyblade: Shogun Steel, Ryuga does not appear in the anime, following the events of the Metal Fury anime, except for a brief cameo of his silhouette. Ryuga's backstory and character remain mostly the same during Metal Fusion, although by Metal Masters the anime and manga diverge significantly. In the manga, Ryuga is an ancient king of the Dragon Clan.

I swear, this sudden rise in Beyblade content makes me happy, I haven’t watched Beyblade in eons, but this nostalgic feeling buried deep within is incredible, it was a big part of my childhood. Ryuga was my favorite character, I wanted to be like him; even wanted to dye my hair white when I was like 9 years old (impossible, too dark). Yeah, he was definitely the best

I’ve never seen anyone mention this but this is one of Ryuga’s greatest feats. After everyone starts jumping Chris and that whole battle goes down, Gingka, Chris, and even King are about to go crazy with their full power. This dude Ryuga pulls up and by just launching his bey and not using any special moves, he blows them all away 💀. That feat is easily on par with what Proto-Nemesis did to Aguma, Dynamis, and Chris (two of whom are easily below the 3 mentioned earlier). I’m not even lying, at one point or another Ryuga could’ve probably solo’d a lot of the legendary bladers by himself.

The thing about Meteo Ldrago was this it was more of a reversion than an evolution. Ryuga mentioned that he was able to control the dark power which led to him being freed from its restraint and getting the power “the star originally held” for the first time. He even mentioned before many times that it’s the power of ldrago itself to absorb energy and that the dark power was only something created by people of greed that stumbled across the star fragment. The dark power was also what made Ldrago exclusively absorb anger and rage as opposed to purely spin strength as metro dragon. Basically Meteo Ldrago is Ldrago at its purest form without the dark power.
i love how unironically all the characters can track and see the beyblades moving meaning they all could scale relative to faster then light reaction speeds
I mean their souls are link to their beys so in a way they are their Beys
And then we have the one guy in Kyoya's team that can see a pride of Lions a kilometre away, no one else could see as far as he could, he was in all sense of the word, the teams Madoka.

At first i thought it was all illusions but the moment I saw Pegasus carried Gingka, suddenly I realised it's all true, and not like Demon slayer where it's all effects, and all those universes like hades are all real, looking at it's feats of universe creation like Pegasus when it's sealed away in a cave easily scale this verse to universe level

Ryuga in the end really was the strongest blader. Even Gingka and the rest of the gang admitted it

I know in the final battle Gingka became the strongest blader by like 10 billion miles. But i was referring to the moment before that, when Ryuga lost to Rago and Gingka and Kyoya and the others stood up for his honor
Naw Ryuga was like going full power against Nemesis, which Rago put effort into the battle it was more like Low/Mid-Diff
If I'm not mistaken, which i very well might be since it's been a while since i saw the fight, there was a moment in the middle of combat. Where the other nemesis guy tells Doji that up until now nemesis was only using half it's bower. Then when Rago starts fighting more seriously he easily beats Ryuga. In the end though L drago does it's most bowerfull attack and even if it did damgae, nemesis tanked it. So I'd say it was around mid difficulty and tilting a tiny bit towards high
I would say Ryuga at the beginning of the battle. Rago was using about 25% of his power in the beginning towards the end, tho Rago got a bit serious with Ryuga which honestly surprised him since Ryuga was still standing all beaten and torn up so when Ryuga used Life Destructor on Nemesis Rago decided to end the fight and congratulate Ryuga with his Special Move Armageddon which Rago used about 37.5% of his power into that move which finish off Ryuga then and there
We should also point out that Ryuga was able to fly with L-Drago in the clouds with Jack commenting on this, and also shows up via exploding meteors against Konzern in Masters and Jack in masters

So far he’s the only character in Beyblade who is actually able to teleport. Not even Rago had that ability, as we saw him sailing to the Nemesis island, and Ryuga just got there by teleportation lol
Not to mention that he was also the only one apart from Rago (Nemesis) that could disturb the environment around him

As Ryuga fought the fraud, Massamune, he began to open his domain. Massamune shrunk back in fear, then Ryuga said "stand proud, you're- wait a second, you arent strong, you're just a fraud! Dragon Emperor Supreme Flight!"
Ryuga was such a G, the only fights I remember him losing are his final fight with Gingka at the end of Fusion and his fight against Nemesis, and he only lost those because the plot demanded it. This man is so powerful only the plot can beat him. But honestly, Ryuga's death and the bits of energy he had left making Kenta arguably the strongest blader there apart from Rago was easily one of the most emotional scenes in Beyblade as a whole, hell, in all of fiction.

Definitely in terms of true experience and training, Ryuga was the strongest. Even if he lost to Nemesis, Ryuga was fighting with honor to an END, Gingka without friendship always loses top battles, even he admitted Ryuga was stronger 1 episode later. In season 1 L-Drago was meta level bey in the anime ofc, Metal Masters well not that much of an appearance, but look how Ryuga trashed Hades City with a long range launch without a special move, yet Tempo was trashing Pegasus and Striker like toys. Ryuga just destroyed his special move. Ngl Kyoya's hard af training isn't even 1/10 close to Ryuga's. In Season 1 during his 1st battle, he destroyed Gingka like damn it, poor Pegasus got cracked too. Season 3's legendary bladers were joke if any has ever faced him. Chris + Orion infinite spin was MEANINGLESS, Madoka mentioned L-Drago will STEAL HIS POWER FOREVER. King with the Vari Ares left rotation ALSO LOST. Kyoya with evolved Leone LOST. Tsubassa LOST, Gingka LOST. No guy in the anime with his own power is even a worthy comparison.
Because Ryuga 100% realized 1 thing that other blader didn't: Mastering the bey.
We can see when he fight Ginga at volcano mountain, he really dissapointed when he know that Ginga not already fully mastering Pegasis. And yeah, when the blader fully mastering their bey, it will be a huge jump to their power scale.

I've always interpreted it as Pegasus flying to another Galaxy & back when preforming it's special move. It's more evident in Metal Masters that this is the case, since Galaxy Pegasus's light rubber flat performance tip acts as the legs of Pegasus racing on the ground. If you combine it with the wings of Pegasus, it allows Pegasus to draw out its full strength, allowing Pegasus to fly further away. To add on to this, when Stardust Driver was used against Damian, it was shown as Pegasus flying towards another Galaxy.
hot take massamune isnt a fraud the writers did him dirty, besides that he had one of the best writing in beyblade (talking bout his backstory) and he helped ginka control his bey. It was said in the anime that massamune will to be number 1 was more than kyoya will to battle ginka

Masamune is not beating the fraud allegations. Masamune's introduction was him going, like, 1-7 against Galaxy Pegasus who was freshly woken up. Then after getting much stronger later in his run he lost to Nile, Klaus and Zeo. Kiyoya would go on to surpass Masumune because no question Gingka was stronger than Masamune and Kiyoya managed to match Gingka's power. Even in Metal Fury Masamune took L's to 2 Legendary Bladers after upgrading Striker. One of whom he trained with before losing to the other.

I love Ryuga, I love the most about him that he never gives up and he always was strong and confident, but he also teach me that no matter how strong and powerful you will became and you seem unstopable, in the end you will meet your end if you are overconfident and believe that you can do anything, so Ryuga for those who understands his story, was a complete life lesson that teach us to be always proud, confident, to work hard for our dreams, but the most important thing, to be with our feet on the ground and to realise when we need help in our life ❤ In the end he is by far the strongest character from the whole methal fight series by natural terms of power in my opinion and one of my life's inspiration 🥺😇

In metal fusion we see at the start of battle bladers benkei and I think it was kyoya destroy some mountains around the stadium without using their special moves they just hit the other bey and the shockwave blew up the mountain. So even as early as fusion the scaling was insane. It just got even crazier as the show went on.

1 domains cannot be used for scaling as they dont take up a lot of space as dagon shows, the inside is a spacial distortion, the outside is the scalable part.

3 the prison realm has no perception of time not no time at all, this is what is said in the japanese version, gojo wasnt moving in a space with no time, he was moving in a space where he didnt have the capability to perceive time.

Sukuna has been stated to be capable of destroying the world which in Japanese can mean one of 3 things, destroying humanity, destroying civilizations, or physically destroying the whole planet, by looking at other things sukuna has said and done, along with other statement, destroying humanity is the true meaning of this statement, destroying OUR world.

i feel like the lore of the dark power makes ryuga conquering it so much more impressive. the dark power is the compounding of various leaders' desires, ambitions, anger, and greed OVER GENERATIONS of users of L-drago and this goes back to moses' times as shown. for a comparison take OFA from my hero and let it stack for dozens of generations and ryuga conquered that and proceeded to make it stronger HES LITERALLY HIM!

Anime have a lot of cool dragons but his aura and the killer instinct at the end of that nemesis fight are just two other reasons why he is one of my favourites.

Kenta flat out admits inferiority to Ryuga even after his evolution after Nemesis came back.
“I need to fight *as well* as Ryuga would if he were here”. Which means he thought everything he did before wasn’t as good as what Ryuga could do according to him.
And in shogun steel it’s stated that Ryuga is Gingka’s strongest rival. Which scales him above Kyoya who beat Kenta at the end of Fury. Basic ABC scaling right there.

He defeated Gingka Multiple Times while Gingka Only had 1 W against him (even with his Godly Plot Armor it still didn’t save him) and he never joined the legendary the Legendary Bladers, bending the rules of Plot. Even in final battle against Rago and The God Of Destruction, The Dragon Emperor was never nerfed. RIP To An Absolute GOAT.

For reference he was able to send out his without using a launcher because the bey had a rubber surface allowing it to instead take damage it asorbs it increasing his spin against right spinning beys but it doesent work against reverse rotation beys since there impact has both of them rotating the same direction

Ryuga is by far the strongest Beyblade character when it comes to own power. Nemesis stole the power from the whole world (including some of Ryuga's power) and Gingka also gained power from everyone at the end. Without any doubt, Ryuga is the strongest, he is one of those characters who eventually must lose to main character/villain for the sake of forced plot..

L Drago and Ryuga was always stronger than Gingka imo. Gingka only won when he had all the bladed spirit stuff from the other blades. Pure skill and on its own, Ryuga and L-Drago clears Gingka and Pegasus
