    It's nice to see a person being upfront and showing everything that he feels is not 100 percent perfect...but let me tell you sir the car is simply incredible and outstanding.....you should be extremely proud of this build....

      Thanks Steven for taking a look and the positive remarks. It was a bucket list project as I wanted to do a ground up resto on a car at some point in my time on earth and this just fell into place. It took a lot of effort, time, cash and determination at times but it got done. A new owner took possession this year so my wife could get space in the garage to put her Triumph TR-6 which was a family pass down car. 🙂

    The quality, detail and your honesty about blemishes, upgrades and changes you made is great to see. The repair to the driver's seat was amazing. The undercarriage photo you have, took my breath away. LOL Incredible.

      Thank you for the kind words. It was a labor of love for me over the years and I tried to do right by the car. I want someone to know the issues up front so there's no disappoint 🙂

      @@79HurstOldsGuy It would be great to own a car someone put that amount of care, precision, time and money into. I purchased a non running 66 plymouth during covid and am at the beginning. I got it running. Yay. But what a long way to go. Someone is really going to get a gift when they buy yours.

      Just saw this comment after responding to the first one. Restoring it was a Bucket List thing to do at least once in my life on a car. Thanks for the positive comments

      You are welcome I know how much work it is I have a 84 H/o that I restored. With the high prices of parts like chrome, emblems and little things like that. You would think your restoring a Rolls Royce instead of an Oldsmobile.

    I really hope the 200hp engine has been HUGELY upgraded to 500hp minimum.

      Sorry to disappoint Jackson, but it was not. Upgrades were made to the Olds 350 but they would not kick the HP to that figure. The Hurst 350 motor was matching numbers and I wanted to keep it that way. Thanks for taking a look.

    Curious to what it looked like before the restore

    • @79HurstOldsGuy
      @79HurstOldsGuy  2 года назад

      It was generally all there (not running) with minimal to no rust, and straight no hit body. Had the original matching numbers drive train as well. But most everything had to be touched and restored. I bought a parts car which helped greatly obtaining good wiring and interior parts among other items. It was long process working primarily in my garage, but it was something I wanted to say I did (bucket list item) and this was a good solid car to start with. Thanks for the interest in her.
