Playing customs against bots and getting good at the vanilla game can help refine your gameplay in co op! because it's all about the fundamentals and a strong foundation. You can win every co op game with basically no effort, but refining your basics can make it so you don't have to think until much later in the game.
Just an FYI that sc2replaystats has a great new "collection rate" that is often a better measurement for how your economy is doing rather than worker count
Welcome back to Maaaaaster Leeeeeague Heeeeeroooeess!! jeje na I do love your work Lowko, and takes some character to do this kind of things, hope that soon you regain that GM status... and for more than one day this time! ;) jeje
if you pull out of gas after speed you should rally those drones to the natural instead of oversaturating your main, and rally drones from eggs back into gas later. small thing but hey :D
Good video, but I have a request: Could you do a video teaching us HOW to improve after we know what is wrong? For example, my creep spread is not good enough, my drone timings are off, and I supply block myself. But....I can't seem to fix these things and I need a systematic approach (especially since I can only play for about 8-9 hours per week). Help me out! (plat/diamond)
Hey Lowko, I'm at plat level and I figured out a nice opener but since I'm just plat I wanted to ask someone who is good in Starcraft if the opener is worth it: I build my Pylon at 14 Supply, my Gateway right after that, then my first gas, when the first Pylon finishes I go for Chrono on the Nexus. Before the Gate finishes do I get my first Forge, then double gas. As soon as the Gate finishes am I starting my Cybernetics-Core. Then I start +1 Ground Attack as soon as I have the gas for it. After that I Chrono-Boost 2 ADepts out and Attack with +1 Adepts, which can 1 Shot all Kind of workers :) Try it out, I think it is great
Thank you a lot for this very honest replay: Very helpful for me to learn to be a better player! :-) Generally I feel always new excited to play SC2 after watching your Videos Lowko... :-)))
I’m a Terran player, my thought watching this was, where’s the infesters? Infested Terrans with Brood lords is such a brutal combo against that slow push liberator style. Liberators can only shoot one target at a time. Just a handful of investors shooting out infested Terrans would have made that engagement much easier I think. You have to use your locusts to push the bio back so the infested have room. Your way better then I am. That’s just something I noticed. I watch A TON of pro matches, and I feel like you see more infestors at that stage. Plus the buffs to the infested Terran anti-air is insane. The lasers are weird AF. But the DPS is great!
2 things i would like an answer for, 1st what map is that one and good map suggestions for long games with 4 friends, 2nd why are there not many prottoss mains in professional tournments( or at least i have not seen many
Thx Lowko for this video! Thanks to your livegames and analyses (and watching tonns of pro matches) my brain is probably Diamond league, but my hands stuck in silver :‘/
I finally understand why I can't get into deeper play in this. It is hard to appreciate your game-play. especially when you're crunching so many numbers and there is not an easy way to figure out your basic harvestor count.
Statistics don't lie??? According to Mark Twain, there are three types of lies: Lies, damned lies and statistics. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lies,_damned_lies,_and_statistics . I'm a sc2replay subscriber btw. Great video!
xD i dont play starcraft that much but i love your videos, so every now and then il watch a big bunch of your videos and itl make me want to play starcraft again for a while xD definately the best starcraft utuber !
hey lowko. I wanted to ask if a roach timing attack against all three races at 6 minute is better than a roach ravager timing at 7 to 8 minutes or should i go for a roach ravager infestor attack at 9 minute mark with near max out population?
Dj0enderman3000 not true. You cannot do that early multi game harass without hotkeys. In the early part of this match, the liberator and hellion Harass, guaranteed, he was using hotkeys. Watch Alive vs Rogue at the latest GSL, on NVS. He does a simultaneous harass at 3 bases, while dropping at the third, and that’s like 6 minutes in. Hotkeys are amazing! I don’t agree that you should unbundle your all army hotkey, unless you REALLY have a problem. But the only thing I use my F2 key for, is so I can control+click all of a certain unit into a hotkey. There’s some great videos about hotkeys. Especially the hotkey stealing. Most players don’t use the hotkey steal commands, and it can give you an advantage by being much faster at setting up your hotkeys, as well as splitting off units for harass.
Haven’t got to watch the video yet but what s the best way to deal with freaking tanks? Air gets mowed down by marines and Vikings and vipers are sooooo late. I’ve had luck with infestors mind control when I have an insane economy. Idk just always seems like such a hard struggle.
So just out of curiosity, why is defensive Nydus play, not used more for Zerg. I mean it only costs 100min and 100gas. Wouldn´t it signifcantly simplify harrass defence? I know it was grat in Sc1, but it worked slightly differently.
Scandinerdian i think it’s hard to micro, but it’s not a bad idea for large maps. Zerg is just so fast on creep though. I always wonder why you don’t see more of it. Also mass recall for Protoss.
I figure that it would really catch an opponent off guard if you show your army and then flank with a Nydus. It would also significantly reduce travel distance off creep. But then again I´ve never seen Rouge use it as such, so it might not be viable :)
hey lowko, and people in the comments, can you recommend some good fiction books, preferably a medium difficulty, I don't read a lot of books and I know you read a lot, thank you
i know you say that it may look like you are doing well, but you were pinned against your side of the map during the earlier engagements. this in any strategy game means that you are on the back foot, and not winning. getting into the specifics you can see that you are doing plenty correct things, with a few mistakes and that you aren't doing as poorly as the map control would have one to believe, however as long as one doesn't miss the forest for the trees it is obvious that you are losing. without getting into specifics it looks like your opponent just up and lost for some strange reason at some magical point in the game, however looking at specifics (and more importantly SC2ReplayStats) one can see that he failed in his macro game. in fact at the end he couldn't replace his losses and was overrun. the key thing for him to take away is to get at least one more base when he has uncontested map control and tons of minerals in the bank. i am not saying he would have won with just that, but it would have helped quite a bit (and it is a pretty small and easy thing). i don't think that if he spent his resources during the earlier part of the game that you would have survived even if you avoided the small things you talked about to help your game. you need some sort of harassment to help take some pressure off of you early on. you don't need it to make the next level, but i think that much more than that will need such. overall i think this match is a pretty good representation of the SC2 high level play. as players get better they focus on kicking their opponent as hard as they can as quickly as they can, in expectation that they will just roll over and die if hit hard enough. he had no real follow up should he not strangle you to death by the 10 minute mark or so, he didn't spend his resources or even ensure he had enough bases to keep his army in the field fighting effectively. proplayers tend to GG when it becomes highly likely that they will lose, which is not how other proplayers for other games play, and such forces even proplayers to do a decent job at following through, and for last ditch hail marries to be attempted. while i think SC2 proplayers are ultimately better overall than other progamers (probably a bit biased), this is definitely a common flaw of theirs, and high level players in general.
Hey just a heads up man, i dont mind that your sponsering, but please dont go into why to took a sponsership.... just use it if you want to tell us go ahead but im here to see the stats watch the game thats bout it... dont mind me though im just a lowly sc2 player with gold as max but still, i skipped ahead of it because you were telling us why you took a sponser when you dont, i dont mind that but just show us what the sponser has and the benefits use it dont describe why your choosing for this one time to use it, kinda threw off the game balance
Actually I was viewing the stream when he play it, he thought it was a very good match and were the viewers who suggested he upploaded to the channel, but he were reluctant because he don't like to cast his own games because it would look fake. I think an analisis was a very smart way to show this game.
Hands down the best and most positive youtuber.
Darn the second comment. Soooo close
sponsorships are fine Lowko. We understand you need to make money and as long as you incorporate the sponsor intelligently it's fine.
wow this video taught me so much holy shit :D thx Plz do another video against Protoss plz !!
Yes this!
Yeah really interesting ! Love it !
I only play Campaign and Co-op, but I still love videos like this. it is fascinating!
Luckysquirrel1256 same xD
i didnt even play the game since 3 years but still watching every video from lowko =)
Playing customs against bots and getting good at the vanilla game can help refine your gameplay in co op! because it's all about the fundamentals and a strong foundation. You can win every co op game with basically no effort, but refining your basics can make it so you don't have to think until much later in the game.
Your continuous humility and willingness to learn is really inspiring, and one of the main reasons I absolutely love your channel. Props!
Lowko being rude as hell by not writing "GL HF" at the very beginning. i'm very disappointed in you, lowko!!!!! keep up the good work
no one says gl hf in the higher league
they only say gg at the end
not saying gl hf isn't rude
I don't think it's rude, it's just easy to forget when you're playing a lot of games. The early game is mostly auto pilot.
Lowko should change his name to Low-key BM TV.
i dont think he was serious
LowkoTV you monster
22:30 marine splits better than Van Damme splits. Holy shit that was sick play.
Jesus!! this video is amazing, Lowko!! Such godd job you´ve done!!! I enjoyed it so much. Congratulations!!
More of this please Lowko, and build orders were also awesome!
17:21 "427"
I was looking for this comment lol
In his defense, 427 is also still "way too much". 527 is just way waayyyy too much.
I was only watching SC2 games on your channel, but now I play SC2 myself thanks to you. And I kinda like it.
Great Guide, Very helpful and really makes me want to use Sc2ReplayStats
This was a really interesting video. It is clear how much the statistics work but equally where you need to be sensible about it as well. Great stuff.
I so missed this type of videos , this tips got me into diamond.. and eventually master!
Lowko is literally the best commentator xD Love the vid keep up the good content
Huh, actually signed up for your sponsor, great video and the Ad actually fits the channel very well , well done man !
YES, thank you lowko. ^^
If lowko would ever have a catchphrase, in an 80's movie, it would be "what i have got for you today" and it would be awesome!
"In just a matter of seconds".
“Paid for that with his life”
None other than
Lowko, this format is great! Love your work man, ggwp.
More of these kinds of videos please. Very helpful.
Can you make a playlist of these types of videos
Also why don't you name all your different videos example. Champaign, review, replay explain
Just an FYI that sc2replaystats has a great new "collection rate" that is often a better measurement for how your economy is doing rather than worker count
Great tool - thanks for showing us a live example of how it works! Also I kept wondering if infestors fungal might have worked better on the ghosts?
LOVE THIS!
Welcome back to Maaaaaster Leeeeeague Heeeeeroooeess!! jeje na I do love your work Lowko, and takes some character to do this kind of things, hope that soon you regain that GM status... and for more than one day this time! ;) jeje
My favorite strats are the army (get a lot of atackers) and the mega base expander (expand the base to the whole map)
if you pull out of gas after speed you should rally those drones to the natural instead of oversaturating your main, and rally drones from eggs back into gas later. small thing but hey :D

Have you found the RUclips/streamer WinterSC yet? he has boat loads of training videos. Also check out SC2swarm.com for good tips.
Look for the map "Creep or die" in Arcade mode, it's very hepful
Heeee, don't suggest for Winter in Lowko Channel!!! ;-) Lowko has a lot of Training Videos, too... ;-)
Hey Lowko, I'm at plat level and I figured out a nice opener but since I'm just plat I wanted to ask someone who is good in Starcraft if the opener is worth it:

Cool app, thanks for sharing. I need more help getting out of wood league... 😩
Thank you loko seriously youre the best coach!!!
would be interested to see how your upgrade management compared to GM players too. cool video! thx lowko
lowko, you pause to note the drone loss to reaper at ~3:40 but youve had 18 workers at ur main this whole time
Question, I see that elite players usually don't put any early static defense (spine crawlers). Wouldn't you recommend that?
xD i dont play starcraft that much but i love your videos, so every now and then il watch a big bunch of your videos and itl make me want to play starcraft again for a while xD definately the best starcraft utuber !
I already know i suck. I dont need statistics to tell me i suck.
But this is pretty cool. Thanks for sharing Lowko!
hey lowko. I wanted to ask if a roach timing attack against all three races at 6 minute is better than a roach ravager timing at 7 to 8 minutes or should i go for a roach ravager infestor attack at 9 minute mark with near max out population?
Dr. Winter told us to unbind all army hotkey and go for armyhotkeys but u dont do that either until a late part of a game
Dj0enderman3000 not true. You cannot do that early multi game harass without hotkeys. In the early part of this match, the liberator and hellion Harass, guaranteed, he was using hotkeys. just like for diamond and under diamond... considering that most viewers are not masters which should be the case
Between snipes and bonus vs. light, what do ghosts _not_ counter? Other casters? Mass zerglings?
What do you think about the muscular augments split ?
Great video, quality content! make more of this :)
Haven’t got to watch the video yet but what s the best way to deal with freaking tanks? Air gets mowed down by marines and Vikings and vipers are sooooo late. I’ve had luck with infestors mind control when I have an insane economy. Idk just always seems like such a hard struggle.
cjfletcher325 swarm host + viper
SquirrilahFish you know what for some reason I always over look swarm hosts this season.
Very nice video. You seem stressed - if that's becouse it's sponsored, don't :) It's grate anyways and we 're all happy you can earn aside!
Haha I have been saying ghost for a long time on stream, lowko always says they are bad. And now that byun is using them they are suddenly good :P
Is there any reason for 18 drones at main ? (early game).
Edit 44/44 supply block is my sin aswell :D
which hotkey u use to jump between the expantions

Could you please do video about countering terran mech?
Please tell us how to do a finishing move for lower leagues please LOWKEY PLEASE. . . .:)
hey lowko, and people in the comments, can you recommend some good fiction books, preferably a medium difficulty, I don't read a lot of books and I know you read a lot, thank you
You should make these videos more regularly.
Finaly you have not been demoitized
Does anyone know some kind of website that tells you stats from your Starcraft 2 replays?
i know you say that it may look like you are doing well, but you were pinned against your side of the map during the earlier engagements. this in any strategy game means that you are on the back foot, and not winning. getting into the specifics you can see that you are doing plenty correct things, with a few mistakes and that you aren't doing as poorly as the map control would have one to believe, however as long as one doesn't miss the forest for the trees it is obvious that you are losing.

I need someone with your knowledge and clear way of explaining to help me understand the protoss race😭 like a protoss improvement video
playing for so long must be exhausting as hell , no wonder strategy games are most difficult to master.
Would really like you to play Age of Empires 3 and do some campaigns
Hey Lowko, that SC2Replay screenshot spoils the ending of the video.
Why don't u make a Discord server .Keep the good work
Lowko = Zerg vs Terran still some mistake
Winter = Terran vs Zerg still losing
Muhammad Anhar Winter carries like a 68% win rate in TvZ. His worst matchup is ZvT which is like a 60% win rate.
I need Protoss. Seriously.
how does he control his army i dont see any hotkey or control group can somebody help
in the early game i mean later on he makes control groups
Play more ‘They are billions’
husky husky here !
did you just spent 4k for a computer for playing starcraft 2? god
Isn't it rather ineffective to have 18 workers mining for such a long time instead of let the 2 of them gather gas?
"mistakes" at this level its essentially just saying "I didn't play perfectly"
Instant like :D More of it ^^
I thing i watched somewhere brfore...
Lowko making Gold league mistakes just for that sponsor :'D
Actually I was viewing the stream when he play it, he thought it was a very good match and were the viewers who suggested he upploaded to the channel, but he were reluctant because he don't like to cast his own games because it would look fake. I think an analisis was a very smart way to show this game.
back then lowko has no respect... opponent said glhf but he didnt :3
I love you!
Yui @ 33:33
Money greedy Lowko
Hey do you play OW anymore?
I haven't played Overwatch in a while.
OW?
Do you mean BW?
no
Pan Kowalski OW is dying? By what means?
OW isn't dying by any means, and I can't stand to play it. Head on over to battlefront 2 if you want a dying game.
Who is "Nun-Udder Dan"? First of all, Nuns can't be men. Secondly, what is so special about a nun's udders?
U are the what not 'guy '
