I appreciate when kids don't feel a need to perform in a way others expect them to. It can come across as rude sometimes, but I find forced polite behavior even worse. Hope she keeps on being herself, and enjoying her adorable home. Also, loved that the camera lady kept on being happy and having fun with it.
That's a really nice place! One thing though, I wouldn't plant trees on the roof top, when they get bigger the roots will dig in and the weight could cause a cave in. I noticed other folks had mentioned about the door opening inwards, on underground structures you want to have the door opening outwards incase of a cave in, it would be easier for the rescue team to make entrance.
You made me laugh! It's my 9 years old little Kodak Zx1 which is always in my pocket and always on the go. I still didn't trow that away exactly for the same reason, very clear picture, And I'm always forgetting not to walk too much and not to move at my eyes speed. Quality is always on max but you see on RUclips what is left over after their shrinking. So it is 720p at 60fps what is max there and original video is 561MB but leftover is only 141MB. Unfortunately doesn't have a good zoom, only 2x digital. In case you buy it now, it's
Such a cute little house. It's unfortunate that the little girl was behaving the way kids do at that age sometimes, but kids are kids. But the hobbit house is really amazing. Everyone put a lot of hard work into it. Really beautiful work.
Oh my, I did not mean for my comment to sound so harsh. I remember being 12 and being annoyed by every adult I had to deal with myself. I stumbled across your video while searching for tiny house videos on RUclips. I don't think I could ever be comfortable in a tiny home, unless it was a vacation house at the beach, but I do enjoy watching videos of people that manage to embrace the tiny house lifestyle. The older woman in this video seems so very nice, I love her voice and her enthusiasm. I am an older person, please believe me when I tell you to cherish the older people in your life, listen to their stories, ask them about their childhood, how they celebrated holidays, what school was like, their favorite day ever, etc.. Cook their favorite recipes with them, ask them about their own grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, etc. Keep a book and at least outline the stories they share with you and the information they provide. It may not seem to be of much importance to you now but one day you'll cherish the time you had with them and all the stories they shared and if you have children you will want them to know their relatives as more than a picture or a video clip. If any of my grandparents were still alive I would call them everyday. Enjoy your little house it is special and I think the lady that wanted to see the house is probably very special too.
No worry, nothing was harsh at all. It's just a nice observation. You gave birth to them, you raise them and then they have their own mind that you can't understand. That is why you have to have this for them in the backyard. They are happy and you are happy :) Thank you for the reminder about respecting and listening to the stories of older people. Reminded me of my grandparents... I spend every single long summer with them. After they passed away, I literally suffered for 3 whole years. That is how much I missed them.
My daughter could be a bit of a pill at that age too. I thought the same thing when I saw this vid then remembered my own daughter. She's fine now but darn those 12-16 yo age is not fun for a parent.
The surprised older woman seems so nice, happy. I wish the girl would've been nicer and more kind to her. I realize it was the girls house but she seemed rather selfish and sullen, perhaps spoiled. Also, if the door opened outward it would work better for that tiny space.
I also thought about the door opening outwards could pose a problem of clearance on ground cover ,gravel walk etc. A compromise could be ,,split the door in two ,top to bottom ,swing both halves in or leave one open one closed for circulation,it's a common ''trait'' to many homes in Scotland
People need to leave the little girl alone. She was just joking for the most part. And when the older woman told her to sit on the spiders and she refused, that's not being rude, that's being logical. I wouldn't want to get bit by a spider either.
Anna if you rub pure peppermint oil all around the windows, doors and all on the wood walls, spiders do noet like it and will shy away. Also Hedge Apple ( aka. Spider fruit ) trees i would plant them all around the Hobbit house. Spiders do not like the non edible fruit from it. In the southeast of America we call it spider fruit trees. Good luck Anna .
Well to some people , culture and perspective children are supposed to be respectfull and people are supposed to act nice to others. I read that some people think that's it's good that she's being herself , okay, but in that case , herself is not likable to me (come on , not inviting a nice granma into your house? ) . I was a nice , well educated and a kind kid , I expect my children to be at the very least, polite and show some kindness to others.
Yeah no. She knows about black widow spiders enough to know they are a danger, and "offered" to put them onto the woman's face. That's in no way positive at all, and the all around behaviour is indicative of that. At the same time, we don't know the back story. Perhaps the girl was forced to do a house tour, and it's her pride and joy where she feels safe, not wanting adults there.
Your children need to know that they can be themselves around their own family and inside their own home. If you impose your will onto your child and never let them vent or be themselves, it can really fuck up their heads. The girl was probably just venting, and that is good for her. If you don't let someone vent, anger builds up in them and that can really suck for them. Especially at a smaller age, that can really fuck them up. That stuff is what makes them sociopathic, not being themselves. The girl probably doesn’t act like that all the time.
Why does that girl have such a bad attitude??? I hope she is a bit older now and she can read the comments here... Its one thing to be annoyed, but even in 2016 everyone was recording. She didnt have to be so nasty, she messed up the video for me. shes not even cute with it! like little girl, you wanna be so serious... ITS NOT A REAL HOUSE JUST A little PROJECT SO CALM DOWN! Sorry for that nasty lil girl grandma, you were very sweet and thanks for sharing , this is a stunning build. I wanted to ask if the ceiling was breathable, living ceiling... or is the roof just dirt and plants on top. That little rotten girl threw me off.

She adorable angel with her house reminds me of my grandaughter
Why is everyone so mad about the kid? Tbh I acted like that too when I was her age, she is going to grow up fine.

I like to sit and eat I agree I'm 10 and I don't really act like that but I still play a lot even with barbies
You must be American.

How do you keep this from collapsing? In Spain we have had a few cave-ins in the cave homes I'd be terrified to be inside but, amazing to view!
It can't collapse... It's build from huge sewer pipe :)))))))
It's cute, but if u added a bed, kitchen set n table perhaps it's more home likable.

I’d much rather live there than in a giant mansion.
Ana was not bad at all. She was just speaking her mind. Adults are annoying at her age.

Thank you! House is inside a big pipe covered with dirt, windows were taken from a naval ship... And Ana is now older and smarter :)

If the girl keeps saying NO then do not intrude. That's HER home. That old lady had no right.
Now that's truth!
It's not her's as they were just visiting. The young girl just liked it and was being jokey, in a childish way.
