A piece of advice when dropping those torps on a destroyer.. assuming the dd is going full speed try dropping the torps 3-4 lengths of the destroyer, infront of it. Hope this makes sense! Great video Terry, always nice to hear your input!
Terry, you forgot to mention that the #4 scout plane was also half an hour late spotting the American carriers because it had a catapult problem. It took the crew 30 minutes to get the catapult fixed which delayed the plane taking off.
I imagine for someone who's skilled with torpedo bombers (i.e. knows how to keep them alive, and actually hit things), this would be a really interesting ship. Multitasking is required, but the excellent concealment does allow you to early-game scout while having the ship sail ahead by itself.

It would have confused the Saipan and maybe let the friendly carrier something against the balanced US carrier. Also, this is much easier to say in the comments than do it in battle.
Hey Terry... I wanted to thank you for your Banzai Akatsuki loadout... it wreaks havoc in Respawn Mode. I got 116k+ damage with it in the Respawn Mode yesterday XD
She’s pretty much a complicated takao with one less gun turret in exchange for torpedo planes. It kind of reminds me of the differences between the Fuso and Ise.
I haven't played Amagi, so I can't make a direct comparison. Bismarck, on the other hand, is an excellent ship, if you like getting up close and personal. Good armour, lots of (secondary) guns. Needs to be played at secondary range to be successful, which requires some situational awareness to know when to go and when not to. Amagi might be more of a long-range ship, due to the relatively thin armour (she's really more of a battlecruiser).

I have said that she was a rip off of Maya. However, a ship that actually carries aircraft other than carriers or Ise is really neat. I mean, why don't we have spotting aircraft or fighter planes on BBs and Cruisers?
Actually, I find that IJN 203mm AP struggles even against light cruisers. Haven't tried it on a Chappy, but I've gotten HE citadels on light cruisers more often than AP. Other nation, no question.
my bad, I'm not a japanese cruiser player. I thought 203mm ap shells are quite a large caliber shell. In your video, ap shells were bouncing. Then i understood the japanese ap shells on cruisers.
This week is going to be very busy at work for me - I got the ships on Saturday for review, I think - so maybe next week, although I'm not sure yet in which order I'm going to go about it. Probably starting with the T8s, and then move forward.
The spread on the bombers is bigger then a bb and the 7 planes have like no hp.. the forward guns promote island camping like the UK ca‘s.. and the price of 80€ or so.. maya wasnt good.. now this.. as an event reward, or new historical mission line with any reward at the end.. but thats me.. i remember when you would win a ship in event without losing job&wife.. now they are gamble events.. Didnt even see the low torp dmg and flood chance 😆 and short range ohoh

Not buying it. You called yourself a potato at using torpedo planes. I’m at the rotten tomato stage. Besides, I don’t think I could manage juggling while jogging in place & trying to hang wallpaper. Maybe try to get the planes killed early & just use the guns.

Tone herself was also pretty infamous, because captured sailors from a sunken Allied merchant vessel were executed on her deck.

I ran into terry the other day twice in respawn mode, I had never been in a battle against him before yes my team lost but I enjoyed myself.
I've been having some fun in respawn - two battles coming up on Thursday, maybe yours is included :)

I concidered getting the Tone just to get the premium captain. Too expensive though for a ship I probably wouldn't play. (I also suck at torp planes).
