  • Up to 20% of biliary tract cancer patients have peritoneal metastases, resulting in symptoms of ascites, abdominal pain, and potential bowel obstruction. Pressurized intraperitoneal aerosolized chemotherapy (PIPAC) delivers chemotherapy directly to the peritoneal space, which could potentially improve treatment efficacy with minimal systemic toxicity. This webinar is to raise awareness for a phase 1 study investigating PIPAC with nab-paclitaxel plus systemic gemcitabine, cisplatin, and durvalumab among patients with biliary tract cancer and peritoneal metastases who have not received prior systemic treatment (NCT05285358).
