And what here important is that the South Korean government still wants BTS to perform despite of their Military according to some news articles which I read, I mean how can you expect something like that from them? They are humans, not machines. They have certain values, they have boundries, and it's BTS themselves who chose to be on this path, they never intended for an exemption, they have always said they will serve no matter what, I hope they endure through this Military enlistment healthy and come back stronger 💜
I prayed that k-pop idols won't get harassed if they going to enter military.
You have to to understand that mandatory military service is very important in South Korea because of the cease fire between it and North Korea which means they can get attacked anytime. Most Americans wouldn't understand but other countries out there are not in Harmony. Wars are still very much alive in other countries and south korea is always on the verge of getting bombed. I do agree that they should treat idols differently since its not nice how other soldiers threaten thr privacy

Yeah, I also live in a country with mandatory military enlistment (it’s only 6 months to 2 years tho) and no one bats an eye bc we’re a small country with a dangerous neighbouring country we NEED everyone to be able to fight just in case 🤷🏼♀️
I really hope and pray that these harassments stops... no person should suffer like this especially when they will be serving their country. I'm honestly scared for Bangtan because of these horror stories in military that I heard. That shower thing, I wish they would have dividers to at least have a bit of privacy when showering, I'm most afraid for yoongi and jimin, they are physically strong but they have small built compared to regular men there and are very delicate looking. They are both so thin right now, I think it's better for them to bulk up when it's time for them to enter the military.
Most idols bulk up during their service. So that’s probably going to happen to them. But it’s still sad that people don’t see the human in idols outside of their career, there’s no reason to invade these people’s privacy during their service.

I want to take this moment to say something
I'm so happy that BTS finally made their decision to service the military, someone that the S.Korea government couldn't do it, it was something that they wanted since a very long time, but it was the f******* S.Korea government who was stopping them for doing that, for a "exemption"
The way the S.Korean government kept using BTS as toys for their greedy things but didn’t want to exempt them from the military, dispite of BTS doing a lot of honorable things for South Korea..... It's irks me

This is another reason I'm pissed their politicians are making them serve. They've done so much and bring in so much for their country and they still have to go away. And then it's such a flawed system they're going into.
It’s also willingly coming from themselves. Korea has this pride reputation of men in the military. Even some men that can’t get into military cause of some medical issues are looked down upon, cause they don’t “serve for the country” but that’s also again why their society is extremely toxic.

There's a series on the manditory military service...'DP' it's so gruesome but some say it's not upto that extent and majority of men who have completed their services say everything shown is true 😔 i don't know how much of that celebrities face... I just want BTS to be safe not just physically but mentally and spiritually 😭... The makers of the series also faced cases from military officials for showing the reality or confidential things.

It's so sad that idols go through these horrible things there and have no form of protection. They don't deserve these kind of treatments..no idol or ordinary person deserve to go through these things. I hope all the harrassment toward celebrities stop. I understand they have to go and do their duties but there’s really no one to protect them. People say it would be unfair because that would be a special treatment but if you think about it, they can suffer a lot because everyone is looking at them and there’s probably a lot of people there that doesn’t have good intentions it all. So many male idols have gone through a lot of sht there and a lot of them end up depressed and stuff.

Those politicians really made me pisses off asking Bangtan to continue making concerts while doing the service and only the ones for their own benefit.. like (?) First, these politicians discussed a posible exclusion from the military service for YEARS and never concluded that, which caused a lot of hate and different opinions from the public towards BTS. The guys never asked for that or for a special treatment, the other k-pop companies did, but BTS’ name was used. Bangtan said they will continue as a group in 2025, this year they told us they were mentally and physically exhausted and they need to rest and focus on their individual selves but then there’s the government asking them for more ?? Like dude, they are humans no machines! I’m glad the members of BTS made their own decision and let all these people embarrassed.
It’s sad to know what Jin told us, that they decided this since 2020 but they kept going for us. 🥺 And 6 months ago Jin was going to enlist but for us and for the Expo Busan concert he didn’t, and thanks to that he received a lot of hate and bad comments that hurt him when in reality he was going to go. 😭😭😭💔

a korean fan uploaded to tt all the things that are forced on idols in the military and that makes me nervous and tense. I don't want bts to be forced into those things, they're supposed to it is military service not entertainment show for others and for television. even the government itself wants bts to work (without getting money) so that everything they contribute to the country does not stop. I'm still mad about that and I really hope to God that they don't do what they want and that if they do something weird that they pay dearly.

When GD was suffering from all kinds of harassment in the army, nobody cared about him and those fans came out to kill him with criticism of all caliber. Now that their favorites are going to enter that place, they are worried that not even a tenth of what GD experienced will happen to them.
I hope they have to live half of what GD suffered because the shit they spread comes back to them.
However, his favorites are not an icon like GD nor do they generate what GD does.

Taemin should not have even gone there in the first place, who ever evaluated him before enlisting and give the OK should be fired, It was so obvious that it would be a disaster, I am not even talking about the stalking/bullying part here.
But for other idols who are fit to go, extra measures about their safety and privacy should be taken.

OMG BTS are men not teenagers. There is a reason why Koreans feel they are draft dodgers and Jim’s recent statement reinforced this. North Korea is a constant threat. Plus I am sure after K-pop drama DP the army will address the showers. However, using Taemin in this video is not fair. He has gone through enough pre-army regarding depression. I applaud his attitude in completing his military service snd shows his character. His fellow shine Minho excelled in the Army as have many others including recently exo Chanyeol and other exo members. So stop.

As a real Korean living in south korea , BTS deserves an exemption.
But it is too late and there is no justification for exemption.
I hope that someday after BTS, the law will change and singers who have changed many Korean history will be exempted from the military.
And to tell foreigners who don't know the duration of the military, the military is forced to serve for "one year and six months".
