Hi Crystal! We love ayurveda on our black and mixed family’s hair. I’m curious if you decided you’d use it again now that some months have gone by?

I have used it a couple more times afterwards. I really like these products because I can get the Ayurvedic benefits without the DIY aspect

I used my system today for the first time on my 4a type hair. I loved the way my hair felt after rinsing out the pre-wash. The smell is nice but definitely smells like turmeric. The shampoo was amazing. A little goes a long way and my hair felt super clean but not overly stripped. The conditioner was nice and thick. My hair was noticeably softer afterwards, but felt just a tad dry (maybe I over rinsed?). Overall, I like the products.

I agree, I think it’s best to use a moisturizing shampoo after the shampoo so the conditioner doesn’t have to work as hard

Great review!
I used to prep my hair with safflower, argan or any other lush oil before using clays or ayurvedic herbs, it protected against the extreme detoxifying and sometimes acidic effects of these minerals and extracts.

Thanks. What I like about these is that they are formulated really well so they are not as harsh as if I was taking raw herbs or a harsh clay

What is your hair type and are you low or high porosity ?

I don’t hair type my hair but I am medium/normal porosity in most areas. Medium strands, high density with a few areas with fine hair.
