In general, this game had me afraid of going fast due to the level design. It's not bad, you just have to be careful because the Sonic characters can go really fast and there are the odd bottomless pits. Enemies position also seems kinda weird. You have to hold forward while rolling to pick up speed down slopes. Took me a bit to figure that out. The light dash button is also the spin dash button, but in the air. Feels a little strange. The Sonic half isn't bad except for the above. Knuckles gliding/climbing is also functional and works well. My issue is with Amy. She has no acceleration on the ground and in the air and on top of that only the double jump attacks, not the initial jump. That made her second boss fight almost impossible. Was very close to giving up there. Can't judge the Shantae part since this is my first time playing anything Shantae related. Had no idea what was going on. The girl with bird seems to have a glitch where she can't attack after being hit, but it seems to be random. It functions fine outside of that. Not bad overall. Increase Amy's acceleration tho.
You don't have to apologize. I don't know anything about game development and have been impressed by all projects so far. I know nothing about the amount of work required to bring these two franchises together in one game. Amy is my only issue. Everything else was just little nitpicks or glitches which is to be expected with early versions of a game. I hope my comment didn't discourage you in any way. I know the problems that need to be fixed in your comment about my game, but if there are other problems then i will try my very best to resolve those problems. The reason why the game isn't as polished as it should be is because I'm only 15 years old and I do try my best
Anyway, the tracks in the stages are intencity by atb for emerald garden, and a volcano valley mega drive remix from tails' nightmare 1 for lava filter
