I bought the zippered head cover pattern and just completed my first fairway cover. It turned out beautifully! I love the zipper look and as you said, it is quick and easy to use! The pattern is great and I especially like your video tutorial. You did an excellent job demonstrating the steps. I'm so happy with this project that I've started making the driver cover. Thank you for making an excellent pattern and video!

Thank you for your super thorough tutorial ❤❤ I bought your pattern and was able to make my first ever head cover (driver head cover for my husband) and so happy with the end result that I’ll now make the fairway wood covers and will be making a set for my son too ☺️🥰

Aw, thank you. I’m no teacher but have lots of knowledge. Also my brain moves faster than my mouth can, and I worry about how I come across. Thank you, I so appreciate your review 😊❤

I bought the zipper pattern, but I would rather have the contoured pattern. Is there any difference in the zipper and contoured patterns other than the zipper and ribbed material?

Hi I have a couple of questions. I am a bag maker and have never played golf in my life but my dad has asked for some head covers for Christmas so i have no idea what im doing 😅
Is there a reason that the fabrics have to be quilted on to the foam?
Is there a reason for it being unlined? Is this just a matter of bulk? I have an industrial machine so bulk isn't too much of an issue
Thank you for your tutorial I will definatly be making some I'm in the process of gathering materials 😊

      Hi Iris
Thank you for your support. To answer your questions; at the time that I designed the pattern, I had just given up quilting and I started by using quilters cotton to make headcovers. Obviously that fabric is too thin by itself so I applied the cotton to the foam. I wanted to make it “as one” so I quilted it together. I personally like the look of quilting stitched but if you are using a more durable fabric such as vinyl or upholstery fabric, quilting isn’t necessary. It’s a matter of choice. But if using cotton I would recommend adhering it to the foam with stitching. Using heat fusing may not stand up to the constant “man-handling” that these covers go through. Regarding lining them; I wanted to make the pattern simple for the general sewing public. Lining them is not necessary, although it does present a more finished product. I would suggest that you sew your lining fabric to the backside of each piece before assembling. Do an overcast stitch on the raw edges to keep things neat. Remember this is your project and you can alter or add to it any way you desire using your individual sewing skills. My pattern it just an initial footprint.
I hope this answers all your questions. I would love to see your finished product
      Darcee

What number foot is your Benina Piping Foot? Is it a 12 or a 28?

@@user-vv2zm9ww7n Thanks! It seemed like it wasn't big enough to acomodate the piping, but I'll try again. Thanks for your reply, and you did a great job on your video! Super helpful!
