I’ve visited Kaya village a few times, we looked inside one of the small chapels and it was piled high with human skulls, a pretty grim discovery. We also went right over the top of the hill and down to the sea on the other side but got stranded as it was so hot, we had to wave down a passing boat who took us round Olu Deniz beach.
Loved it! From the ostriches to the climb, to the smiling woman making flat bread at the end, the sort of day when it's good to be alive. Bet you enjoyed that cold one!
I was in Olu Deniz exactly 3 years ago, I loved it there, even went paragliding too. Fethiye is a lovely place, and Hisaronu too. I went too the ghost village, and there was a small hole in a wall which allowed you to get into the church.
Wow ! Well done Ed ! That’s was quite a climb ! Those new trainers 👟 came in handy ! Wouldn’t like to climb that in flip flops 🩴 😙! Anyway that entrance fee less than a quid ! Yeah I can live with that too 😂 ! Thanks Ed great video again , you really deserved that cold beer 🍺 ! Cheers 🍻

Eddie watching you over there just brings back so many good memories of when I spent a bit of time there years ago. There’s a Turkish author Orhan Pamuck who is quite famous over there who has won a Nobel Peace Prize too I should add. He writes fiction based on Turkish history and romance. If you’re in a book shop it’s worth looking up any of his novels. Anyway safe travels mate and as always thanks for sharing!
One of your best videos, in my opinion. Regarding the ostriches. I agree with your use of caution. My experience with those animals is limited to a ranch here in Arizona. I found them to be quite intimidating creatures. Very aggressive and potentially dangerous! But they were put on this Earth for humans to use and enjoy. The same as other domestic animals, such as chickens, pigs or cattle. I have never had the pleasure of enjoying their meat. But I have enjoyed an ostrich egg. Delicious! I am also a proud owner of clothing made from ostrich leather and feel no guilt whatsoever. I too love a good hike. Both here in Arizona and on my travels. I love climbing to new heights. Do you enjoy hiking in your native country? I’ve always wondered about climbing Mount Snowden.
GREAT EFFORT, EDDIE! VERY JEALOUS (SO MUCH BETTER UNDER CLEAR BLUE SKIES TOO). 🌞🌞🌞 VERY MUCH AGREE THAT IT'S WAY BETTER TO GET EXPLORING ON THESE TRIPS- BEACH WALKS, MOUNTAIN HIKING LIKE THIS, WALKING AROUND THE TOWN/VILLAGE/ CITY YOU ARE IN... RATHER THAN JUST SWEATING BY THE SIDE OF A POOL ALL DAY (LIKE YOU SAY). AFTERWARDS, BEERS ARE "ALWAYS" REQUIRED, AREN'T THEY! HA! 👌🏿🤌🏿🍺🍺🍺
