Thanks for posting your gear load out, always nice to see what other hunters are using, to lighten up the pack
No problem 👍
So what is the weight of your all gear in the pack.

Like the gear, non-hunter look because of hippies. Right on bro. too many lil snow flakes, hippies grand kids.
Instead of using flagging tape, take Toilet paper, use it to track blood and when it rains no more paper left, everybody needs Toilet Paper , and you can see it even after dark
not a bad idea! thanks
I think the hippes

Cliff you sound different in this video
Ha!

Why would you think you need a fixed blade over a folding knife…which every man on earth already has…to skin “almost” anything??? I’ve used benchmade, spyderco, etc to skin and if kept sharp, can use a multi tool. Y’all don’t need a $300 benchmade fixed blade to do sh*t. Not a fan of pushing those items on the unwilling public.
You don't "need" the vast majority of what is discussed in this video to have a successful hunt. The point of the video is to just give folks a look at what an experienced guide carries on mountain backpack hunts. Jimmy, the guide in the video, has guided a ton of backpack hunts but his gear differs from mine, while mine differs from many other guides. We don't push specific gear unless it is something we have used in the field and have found it to be an asset.
I personally like fixed blade of skinning and gutting because they are easier to clean. No small spots for stuff to get into.

Dude good fixed blades like the Mora offerings are can all be had for $20-40. Pretty sure the intention of this video isn't to push any one brand for anything on anyone. You can find cheaper alternatives for everything seen here and you honestly probably should. These guys buy the best of the best because it's their literal way they make a living. Doing a trip every other year doesn't necessitate gear with the same durability or price tag as what they have. Let their gear list be a way to get you thinking about your packing list, not an itemized shopping list.
