Thank you for the excellent introduction to the architectural history and explanation of Nankana Sahib Gurudwara Site. I am impressed by your presentation which is clear and very informative one. There is no doubt that there is much influence of the Islamic architecture and visual arts on the early Sikh building designs including Gurudwaras and other pilgrimages rest places throughout South Asia. I strongly believe that it is an opportune time for all good people of Pakistan and the government to consider including Nankana Sahib on their tentative List of UNESCO's World Heritage Sites. Historically, it has been determined that Guru Nanak was the leading spokesperson of his times for the interfaith dialogue and who professed harmony among all faiths of South Asia. It would truly be a fine tribute to the first Guru and the founder of Sikhism, the 5th largest religion in the world, that Nankana Sahib and the surrounding territory be declared as the World Heritage Site. It is a Win-Win proposition. Most World Heritage sites attract world tourism and substantially increase the property values and the economic rate of growth of the region. My academic colleagues in the United States, Canada, India and Pakistan agree with my assessment and highly recommend, without any reservations, that this action of promoting Nankana Sahib to UNESCO's Council on World Heritage Sites, must take preferential consideration of all good people of Pakistan. To my sikh brothers, i apologize on behalf of my countrymen, i am positive he didn't realize that covering your head within the gurdwara is a requirement, and i do not think he meant any disrespect, i will be sure to cover my head when i visit this holy place for sikhs, inshallah
please refer to part 2 and 3 of this video, and you will find his head covered. Learn to tolerate and dis regard innocent mistakes, surely your Gurus were not so quick to judge people.

Guru Nanakji was against karam kands, and during his time , coverimg head with any cloth was not present , even he broke the wrong practice of giving water to Sun at Ganga River , we pay thanx to this gentleman , salam walkum Sahebji
