In this video i’ll walk you through:
- Intro To Mitosis and Importance of mitosis (Mitosis is an important Step of Cell cycle / cell division after Interphase) i.e Mitosis helps in growth of living organims and also Mitosis play an important role in cell repairing and injury healing. The process of mitosis is critical to all eukaryotic organisms.
In some single-celled organisms, such as protozoans and
some fungi and algae, mitosis (as a part of cell division) provides
the basis for asexual reproduction.
- Stages of Mitosis
- Prophase of Mitosis: During prophase, the complex of DNA and proteins contained in the nucleus, known as chromatin, condenses into chromosome.
- Metaphase of Mitosis: During metaphase, the nucleus dissolves and the cell's chromosomes condense and move together, aligning in the center of the dividing cell.
- Anaphase of Mitosis: During anaphase, each pair of chromosomes is separated into two identical, independent chromosomes. The chromosomes are separated by a structure called the mitotic spindle.
- Telophase of Mitosis: During telophase, the chromosomes arrive at the cell poles, the mitotic spindle disassembles, and the vesicles that contain fragments of the original nuclear membrane assemble around the two sets of chromosomes.
- Cytokinesis: After completion of Mitosis, Cell cycle continues and The process of Cytokinesis starts in which Cytoplasm of cell divides into two.

Actin protein forms a cleavage furrow in case of animal cells and it is formed in CENTRIPETAL manner...
But in case of Plants' cells Middle Lamella is formed in CENTRIFUGAL direction...
Then which protein is responsible for this kind of cleavage furrow in plant cells during cytokinesis...
And
What about the separation of synaptonemmal complex which holds HOMOLOGOUS CHROMOSOME together???
