Love the idea of the beads on the shawl but I'd definitely go iridescent that would be beautiful. Just a side note - I've never thought I'd ever be a sock knitter, I love making sweaters but all your socks are inspiring me to try them. Just got the Vanilla Sock pattern from Ravelry.
