Except it couldn't be more false that he's the most mentally strong. He might be disciplined to train. But someone who can't control his emotions and always blowing up on and off the pitch, doesn't see reason to celebrate others if he's not the one scoring, abandons his teammates on the pitch after losses, and even talks badly about them, isn't mentally strong. That's pure weakness! On the other hand, Messi remains cool, calm, and collected in all kinds of storms on and off the pitch and some of the reasons he's more respected, not even to account for his much better accomplishments!

To me, it’s the fact that his work ethic and desire to be the best, didn’t even waver even after he reached the top, is downright insane. It’s very easy to slack off after you have achieved what you wanted.
