You know, with this Anti-Ashkenazi trend, I think of my ancestors who were Russian Ashkenazis. The Mongolians are gorgeous people and I always connected to the Chinatown community in my neighborhood so deeply. I always wondered and thought about the Ancient Asian Jews. Hate is a strong word.... in your own words "a hatred towards us because we are jews" is, I believe, held by a minority. It's more a feeling of disbelief and disgust.
The unfathomable way of how the IDF and Netanyahu's government are treating fellow human beings, especially innocent children, is what you as jews are feeling....we are shocked to say the least.
The profound sense that most jews believe and adhear to is that they are the "chosen ones" ; and precisely because of that belief there are many that have experienced an attitude of entitlement from their encounter with jews around the world.
My heart bleeds for what jews have experienced through many, many years.....but in the same breath, my heart bleeds for every human soul, especially the many innocent Palestinian children that are now suffering a similar fate that jews have had to live and die through.
This is the "hatred" you are feeling, and I put it in brackets because many of us do not have that strong sentiment....we/I am utterly disgusted by the pain and suffering, death and destruction we see going on in Gaza.....especially because jews have an understanding of what suffering is.
Please, please understand that no human is "chosen" above another human, or living organism for that matter of fact.
We are all brothers and sisters, born with a heart full of love to share; born to support each other in challenging times, to grow together and create together as brothers and sisters in this short lifespan.

Perhaps the problem is noty so much religion itself but religious exceptionalism is the problem. Be it Jewish, Muuslim, Christian or Catholic. We are God's people. God grants us these rights. We are God's Chosen People. Jerusalem is ours and ours alone. If there is a chosen people then there is also an inferior people. An inferior people cannot be allowed to grt in the way of our birtthright. Violence and domination as ordained by heaven. But is war and domination by strength and fear truly the spititual path?
While being God's chosen people must surely be a blessing, is it an entitlement of a spoiled brat? Maybe being God's chosen people means that we are constantly challenged to live up to being His representatvie on Earth.
