Thanks for the fun video from years ago... I like rewinding to your earlier stuff every once in a while, but love your newer format with Marcus and the guys. It's more fun and realistic. Anyway, I drew Wyoming unit 88 this year and it's my first time ever hunting antelope! I went out this Labor Day weekend to attempt archery with a crossbow. Man! I have a new respect for archery hunting antelope. Those guys are quick and keen-sensed. I had 5 stalks in a day, 2 of which I got within 75 yards. If this were rifle season I could have put 4 of 5 of those on the ground.
Love this! We're landowners in Baggs and I've been fortunate enough to grow up spending summers there and fall hunting. Unfortunately it's been hit hard by winters and CWD which has had a huge impact on the heard's. Hopefully they rebound.
We are thinking about it, but the best source our there is my friend Eli Grimmett who has a video called "Size Matters." It shows how to score better than any system I know. I am hoping to get him on a podcast or a RUclips episode to help cover the topic.
Thanks, I guess the secret is out. I understand why you do t but I wish you could say where you got this one and the one you showed on your recent public WY whitetail hunt. Anyway love the videos and hopefully I will be doing this in the near future
Never a disappointment watching your videos Randy, that’s one of my dream hunts is to hunt Wyoming antelope! I’ll tell you what randy I’ll do a trade with you, you come up in the fall time and hunt Sitka blacktail deer and in turn take me antelope hunting in your public land hot spot!
Honestly, like no BS, can a total layman really just stumble out into the plains and see an antelope to shoot? I live in southeastern Michigan [by Dearborn] so you really have to look for game to shoot even in the Upper Peninsula, so it boggles my mind to think that it would be that easy.
9:59 - Uff da! haha
13:31 that was some weird camera trickery I would have guessed the antelope to be 10 yards from you

Great video Randy 👍
Thanks. Glad you liked it.
Randy, could you do a short video on how to field judge antelope? Some tips on what key features you look for?

Wonder if a fence cut the ones hind end
Enjoyed the video. We're DIY hunters so this info was great.
How many preference points did you have to draw this tag?
I can't remember. Right now, it takes close to maximum points for that tag.

If you go to the right areas of Wyoming, mostly the areas west of I-25, it will be some of the easiest hunting you have ever encountered. Good luck.
