its because the other is the Alpha, Cats have a Hierarchy, and thats why they fight and challenge each other, to keep the health of the Alpha. unless one of them is happy not to be the Alpha and lets the other take the lead, then it can be piece from the beginning. I love to study Cat culture.

Cats have excellent vision and are used to tracking rodents in hidden places, and remembering where they hid. So it's not a surprise at all that these cats knew which bell the food was under. They were watching intently even if it didn't look like it.

The cats could likely smell the treat through the bell, they have a really good sense of smell! Seeing them tap on the bell was so cute, and let’s be honest whenever we see one of those bells we want to ring it… constantly.

Cats have pretty good eyesight, and they can spot movement and focus on it 100% while looking completely bored
