I just barely found coggle and I wish I'd known about it 7 years ago....by far my favorite productivity tool for just getting ideas organized quickly and efficiently.
This tool is amazing. As a student, it is the best tool I ever happened to use to review my courses. Though, I would love to be able to create another parent "idea" (the grey rectangle) in one project. And why not implement a slideshow function ? Anyway, keep up the good work !
It's a nice tool; I'd like would like an easy way to connect different branches though. Also, making several paths converge again before branching out again is an important feature.
Thanks! To connect items create a new branch without any text, then press enter to close the text editing area, and drag the empty item onto any other item to connect it :)
this is great... i was missing the cut and paste feature (shift clicking)... i think that's not clearly stated in the help you get inside every coggle... otherwise, very intuitive piece of software you have here! congrats and thanks!
Superb easy to use .Thanks for this excellent online app. There are very few (if any?) online mind mapping that allows you to drag a website address and for it to work so really am very pleased with this. Will upgrade. One question i had was can i link from one map to another within my coggle maps? Perhaps the way is to copy the address bar showing one of my maps and paste that as a link in another map or perhaps that wouldn't work....
Hi, Great Piece of work guys. Kudos to the team. Can I add notes to a node in the coggle? For example in the animal coggle, can I add notes to the cat coggle that is initially hidden in the coggle view but on clicking the cat it becomes visible as a popup/dropdown. This feature will make it a evernote killer I guess. Also 1 more suggestion, while you represent knowledge as a tree but in general knowledge is a graph in our minds. For example cat is connected to animals, pets, and maybe my own cat's name. So cat can be part of multiple trees. This issue maybe solved by letting people use the share a sub-tree across multiple coggles (think sub-tree similar to software library that can be shared across unrelated software projects ), or making coggle as a graph. Let me know your thoughts on this. If this tool is open source then I would like to contribute to enable these features.
+faizan ahemad Happy to say you can add comments by right-clicking on a branch. We don't support sharing branches among multiple trees - but you can create cross-links between branches. Thanks for the feedback!
i have also feedback for you - i just wanted to try coggle out and before i am told anything, i am already asked if i prefer concept map or mind map - but guess what?! i have no idea! no one else differentiates those, only you, for others that is the same, so how do i know what is the difference? and when i try to find some info i see your promo video in which you call it a diagram? so what should i choose? what is the difference? when you have such idea, you should explain, not ask me who has no idea how did you mean it, what is the difference. and if you create terms, then stick with it! i am lost now.
really nice, the only thing which makes it problematic for me is, when i have much branches, and i can't collapse them in edit mode, is it planned to implement them in edit mode?
HI! Thanks for your question. By default Coggle will place things above or below in order to make the tree balanced. To choose exactly where a new item is placed, you can drag on the (+) button instead of clicking on it, or you can use the keyboard shortcut [ctrl] + [shift] + [enter] when adding a new item to always add the new item below the current one. Hope that helps!
To add math formulae you can use LaTeX syntax, there's a guide in our knowledge base (Coggle.help) here: coggle.help/article/38-add-math-formulae-with-latex
Yura Fresh Unfortunately this isn't possible at the moment - every branch has to be attached to the tree. Thanks for letting us know this is something you'd find useful though!
Marie-Odette St-Hilaire You'll need to view your documents list at coggle.it to see the duplicate icon, which will appear on the right-hand side as you hover.
Hi Michael, thanks for reporting this! Please can you drop us an email - hello@coggle.it - with details about the browser version you're using so we can look into this?
Hi +Dhawal Desai ! You can add small images to diagrams for free, for large images you need to be on one of our paid plans, then drag the lower right corner to resize.
If you've added unwanted labels (coggle.help/article/48-add-label-text) to the background of your diagram, you can remove them by right-clicking (or long press) then choosing the X icon. If the unwanted text is attached to branches that you do want, then you hide the text by putting ">" in the item instead. If you're still having problems email hello@coggle.it and we'll do our best to help!
Hi Martin! If there's something missing that you need let us know! We always want to hear feedback. You can also read about some more advanced features on our blog at bloggle.coggle.it.
Hi Adrienne - you can make text bold / enlarge it by using Markdown - put **asterisks** for bold, and use #, ##, ### etc. at the start of a line for title-sized text. More here: bloggle.coggle.it/coggle-markdown-reference/
+Coggle RUclips Channel I love Coggle! But what if I want to remove, for example, 'dog' but work and domestic stays. Is this possible or will the whole branche be removed?
+Kwak Yes - just hold down [ctrl] and [shift] before clicking the (+) button (it will turn into an (-), which when you click will delete only that item, not its chlidren) :)
Hi! The text colour is controlled by the branch colour: to change the colour right-click, then choose the colour menu and select a colour. If you hold [shift] as you click a colour, then it'll only change the colour of a branch, without changing the colour of its child branches!

How about some AI or auto arrange tool that makes things look ordered...

One of a very productive tool among all sloppy tool with marketing extravagance. Thanks
Keep up the great work! Beautiful and intuitive and exactly what I was looking for.

nice software, shame it's only really got 4 colors and no option to change the font. everything ends up looking the same!

Hi!
Thanks for the feedback - we're planning a couple more export formats, but note that .png (along with .pdf) is already supported :)

Thanks for the feedback about that! It isn't something we're currently working on, but we're always re-considering how we can make Coggle better
when i add new node by default it goes above, not like one after the another, how to fix this??
HI! Thanks for your question. By default Coggle will place things above or below in order to make the tree balanced. @@CoggleIt this is what I was looking for , but I wish along with this if it tree balance
how to type math formula?
To add math formulae you can use LaTeX syntax, there's a guide in our knowledge base (Coggle.help) here: coggle.help/article/38-add-math-formulae-with-latex
Any ideas, how to create few independent branches?
Yura Fresh Unfortunately this isn't possible at the moment - every branch has to be attached to the tree. Thanks for letting us know this is something you'd find useful though!
I will often be using Coggles that are very similar to each other. How can I copy an old Coggle to a new one?
Philip Clark If you hover over a Coggle in your documents list, you'll find a duplicate icon which you can use to do this
+Coggle RUclips Channel
I do not have the duplicate icon when I hover over my doc. I created my Coggle doc from Google drive. Anything I can do?
Marie-Odette St-Hilaire You'll need to view your documents list at coggle.it to see the duplicate icon, which will appear on the right-hand side as you hover.
Thanks! We'll bear your feedback in mind :)
Who else here has trouble moving the coggles?
Hi Michael, thanks for reporting this! Please can you drop us an email - hello@coggle.it - with details about the browser version you're using so we can look into this?
Hello,
While adding the images to the coggle they seem too small and I'm not able to resize them.Is there a way around this?
Hi +Dhawal Desai ! You can add small images to diagrams for free, for large images you need to be on one of our paid plans, then drag the lower right corner to resize.
can you add files to selected node?
You got plans for an offline app?
+Mediagix We have some plans, no date yet ;)
Fuck the cloud. Try Freeplane.
Great software for teams to collaborate!
my coggle map is cluttered with grey "click here to edit" instructions. How to remove them?
If you've added unwanted labels (coggle.help/article/48-add-label-text) to the background of your diagram, you can remove them by right-clicking (or long press) then choosing the X icon. If the unwanted text is attached to branches that you do want, then you hide the text by putting ">" in the item instead. Just used it, it's amazing :)
Wish I could have a black color option though like MindMup which isn't as cool.
Hi,
How can I add a checkbox
Thanks!
To add a checkbox, start a line with - [ ] or - [X] (it's GitHub flavoured markdown syntax for checkboxes) :)
Thank you!
+Coggle RUclips Channel Is there anyway I can insert a check box next to all branches?
+Muhammad Ali Musani Unfortunately you'll have to manually edit each branch to start with " - [ ]", there's no way to change them all at once, sorry!
That's okay - thank you!

Thank you for the quick reply! I'm sorry that I didn't found it myself :)
I really love Coggle and gonna use it for school ^^
Excelente programa , muy creativo y muy facil de usar A.C♡.
How to auto align bro ?
Dinh Khoi K: you can auto-arrange a branch and it’s children from the right-click (long-press) menu on any item
Coggle RUclips Channel tks alot bro
promising - but limited features (so far?)
Hi! You can link to files in dropbox, or documents in google drive using Markdown, you can find a reference on our blog at bloggle.coggle.it :)

Hi! The text colour is controlled by the branch colour: to change the colour right-click, then choose the colour menu and select a colour. If you hold [shift] as you click a colour, then it'll only change the colour of a branch, without changing the colour of its child branches!
