You mentioned you have East West ( I’m guessing you mean the composer cloud subscription) do you not like the Hollywood strings? And what do you use from EW?
Indeed I use ComposerCloud. I do like Hollywood Strings (a lot!), I just don’t use it because it’s another thing to learn to programme properly, another UI to get used to, new pre-delays etc. - for ease of use I just default to CSS or some sort of Spitfire because they’re what I’m most fluent in and (I think!) get the best results. Thanks for watching!
@ yeah. That makes sense then. I also have Composer Cloud. But I’ve had it for a while now. It was my first “real” orchestral library(s). So I’m pretty used to Hollywood Strings. I’ve contemplated buying CSS but I have tons of strings libraries and I’m starting to realize I’m better off sticking to what I know. Basically the same thing you’re saying . Obviously sounds are important but too many options can definitely stunt my productivity. So lately I’ve been trying limit myself when writing. Not letting my self dive into the abysss of samples I’ve collected over the years. And making a point be personally restrictive by only allowing myself to use 1 or two sounds when writing. at least until I have a clear perspective of what I’m writing and then maybe I can experiment a bit.
Tom, did you get the Fluid Shorts III library and is that what you've demo'ed here? I've been looking at the Performance Samples catalogue and had my eye on Fluid Shorts offering (rely love the bite and the attack) - but undecided on which of the three they offer. Thanks, G
@@TomHarroldMusic Thanks a million Tom, thats great! I've all of their freebie's in my template of love them. Maybe Santa will be kind this year or Jasper will be really kind and have a little Christmas sale 😃
Would you consider doing a template video?
Yes absolutely, I may make one very soon! Thanks for watching

…I use EW for percussion, woodwinds, pianos, harps…

Not sure if you noticed, but you can open Trillian within Omnisphere. This would apply to Keyscape too.
Yes absolutely. But sometimes I like visually being able to tell if it’s a bass patch or omni patch

Yes fluid shorts. Go for it! Anything PS is worth it, IMO, but fluid shorts is very, very useful and realistic
