Michigan State is everything to Steven Izzo.
When he was younger, he use to recreate plays made by Spartan legends. Then, as a freshman, he joined his dad's team as a walk-on and today tries to be a positive influence on his teammates.

I don't know that this is true, but I read an article on line saying that Tom, after the team had been together a while in Steven's freshman year, had a secret ballot to let the team decide if he should stay. I'd like to think that is true.

On a secret ballot they might. Especially since there is no reason Tom needs to ask them, and there is no reason to think he would hold a no vote against the team.
