Can we all please including the rabbi him self stop talking about what משה רבינו did with the ערב רב. We have no idea what was משה רבינו חשבונות. Let's stop talking about him like he is one of our freind. No has any clue what so over who משה רבינו was so please have alot of respect for him. We are not worthy of questioning his decisions.

The rav is just explaining why we have eiruv rav, the origin and a lesson in life to listen to Hashem and not our own thoughts of results
moshe did consult with Hashem over the erev rav... Hashem told him not to accept them and take them out with them... moshe held he would be able to help them get close to Hashem and embrace torah... so he didn't heed Hashem's warning and took them out of mitzrayim much to our chagrin and great great tragedy and calamity all throughout our history... nebach...
Moshe thought it was God's will, that they were authentic converts, that was his error. The greatest mistake is accepting non-genuine converts, they are the neshamot of thhe erev rav.

@@primoshe2 The Kabblists explain that Moshe was trying to do a huge tikun of neshamot that fell into the klipa from the sin of adam haRishon via these converts who witnessed the miracles and hand of Hashem in egypt, and that he did it with the right intention but was mistaken. Zohar says at the end times the neshama of moshe will fix what he did at the exodus when the erev rav are removed/sifted out from am Yisrael
