You've got something really special in your delivery. It's calming, yet engaging, and I enjoyed this to the very end. India's own Freddie Dobbs!
Wonderful stuff, keep 'em coming!
Oh wow! Freddie Dobbs? That's too high a praise sir! Flattered.
Many thanks. Regards.

Nice bike! Great review!
I have high respect for Bajaj and TVS for keeping up with global manufacturing standards which makes bikes like these possible.
Bajaj & TVS have upped their game onto a global level.
It's only price point that works with all features. TVS is bes t.yet they have long way to go to meet Japanese standards
@vikasshelke5544 price is the most important factor most of the time.
Great video
Amazing cinematography
Great story telling
No nonsense ❤
Happy to hear! Thanks.
how about 169cm height sir? Is that too short for ride this bike?
@@bigbearbangalore
@yehezkielareth5496 try it to know better.
Great video Bosky.... Nice explanation of differences.... You have got good but simple way of explaining.... It is not easy to communicate what others expect in a simple but effective way... Keep it up... Awaiting detailed review of the bike... Cheers....
Many thanks. And yes hopefully the Part 2 by month end. Regards.
Superb review. I booked the Scrambler when it was launched. I will testride it and if the ride is comfortable for me, I am buying this for sure.
Awesome!
I loved the Williams’s reference! I’ll use this when I tell my wife (we are both big tennis fans) that I’m getting the 400x next year! Thanks for the great review!
Thank you! And best wishes.

I am looking for the best video that outlines the manufacturers break in procedures for the Triumph Scrambler 400X.
I see lots of opinions but would love to see and listen to this process.
Thank you for your clean and crisp videos sir.
Running-in is best done as per owners manual. Although I didn't. 😃
@@bigbearbangalore makes sense.

1:46 Exactly Bosky 😂 I also went with a prejudice in my mind that it’ll be a Triumph “Dominar”. Was blown away after riding it such precise and well balanced motorcycle.
👍
Wow great review sir, that comparison of Venus and Serena in the end is the best part of the whole video🔥🔥🔥
Loved it

Great review Arunji...as always....!!!
Thank you! Cheers!
Apart from the review, the cinematic and the background music was 🔥. Thanks Boski ji
Glad you liked it.
I have been commuting with the speed and some rides for more than a month, and had my 1st service done . I could agree that more suspension is welcome and the longer wheel base is worth if you tour more. But for everything else I can get by
Good to hear from an owner. Thanks.
Is triumph speed good ? I have to commute in mumbai and for long drives also.. plz reply
@nitishkalialive4069 it's a great commuter. And OK for touring.
@@bigbearbangalore so which bike is good commuter and good for long ride as well?
@@nitishkalialive4069 Test ride once , I guess scrambler 400x may suit more
Outstanding review. I am looking forward to the arrival of mine in the states.

Great cinematography bosky!! I would suggest, for reviewing new bikes you can shoot like this.. but please keep the raw style of shoot still intact.. like other videos, we are more connected in that😉😉
Thank you and yes I understand your point. Noted.
Besides I can't afford to hire these skilled video guys often. 😃
Top stuff great Job 👍

I like your content format in this video 👌👍. The rock music in the background is good, fits well.
For the next video for retro style bikes or scramblers please consider western classical tunes. You will be surprised how smooth the video will feel. I will DM you or Mahesh should i come across that well fit the video mood, time of day, place.. and so on.
Thank you. 🙌
Awesome, just what I wanted to hear , Bosky at his Best as usual . Thanks u made my decision though I have booked you made me pay the balance .Btw ur views do I ride himmy 452 , or just rent it for Himalayan odyssey and ride scrambler to Chandigarh like I heard u say 😂
Congrats! The H450 is a an adventure tourer. The Scrambler is for having a blast on B & C roads.

Did i regret buying speed 400 in a hurry? No,,mmmm little bit of after watching this honest gentleman talk about this bike
No regrets! Enjoy your ride! 👍
@@bigbearbangalore thanks sir
Triumph quality next level. I chase one with in my safe speed limit for watching this beutiful machine. it just disappeared on Harrison

Good review. I was set to reserve a new Scrambler 400 X until I was given the OTD price.
The price quote I received is as follows:
Nearest dealership starting price is $5,995. *The price on Triumph USA website is $5,595. (Price already increased)
Freight: $1,200.
Set Up: $500.
PDI: $300.
Plus taxes and fees.
Total price is $8,752.66.
I was looking forward to adding another Triumph to my collection. Sad to say I will pass on the Scrambler 400 X.
Thanks.
That's steep! Wonder why? Is it just that one dealership padding up the prices or is it the recommended MSRP?
You need to look at the dealer ….those aren’t my charges for mine and I live in the states
Excellent video. I love the looks of this bike. I bought a bmw g310gs 2 months ago and like it a lot. Would it be an upgrade to get this next year when it comes out in the USA? How would it compare to the 310gs? I know it’s a bigger bike but is it as comfortable to ride? The gs has a very comfortable seat and fits me perfectly and I would say that I’m the same height as you.
Thanks. The GS is more comfy but a bit underpowered and buzzy at high revs.
Triumph Thruxton 400 is in the making... That will definitely be twin to twin - non identical twin for these 400's... Remember this on Q3-Q4 2024.
🙌
thank you for the great video. Is it true that the rear mono shock is an offset one?
Yes it is.
Just recently purchased a new 400x in Australia…. and loving it 😃 I am also curious what sort of neck/head sleeve you have?
Congrats!
The head wear? That's Headwear from Hepco Becker
Wow! The Tiger 400 idea would be great.
Indeed. If it shows up!
As Italian I’m amazed at the real and visceral love Indians have for motorcycles and how it’s wonderfully affecting the bike market.
👍🙏
Why have you not mentioned about the negatives :
1) There are vibrations post 4k rpm
2) The coolant reservoir is tucked behind the sump guard. Which is not at all a safe place and can lead to a breakdown. Triumph calls it a scrambler so people will take it to offroads.
3) What about the spare parts cost etc.
A review should be unbiased, it should talk about all positives and negatives.. but what i can see are only paid reviews 😊
You've said it all instead. This is "First Ride Impressions" and so now no need for Part 2. Thanks. 🙂
Good Video! I am thinking to supplement my venerable Tiger 955i (which I own for 22 years now) with a lightweight companion. I am looking forward for a test ride! Kind Regards from Hamburg, Germany
Thank you. This will be a good partner to your 955i. And thsts a rare machine you have. Best wishes.
Very eloquently put 👍🏽
Glad you think so! Thanks
Its the service centres, parts availability and after sale services of RE's bike which make it more likable and choice of a common person
Indeed.
What's the comfortable cruising speed for this one? Can it hold 120 at relative ease? Mild vibes at pegs bars are okay with me.
It's comfortable under 120.
How does it behave on the road at cruising speeds of 100 to 120...does it vibrate a lot???
There's a buzz, no vibes.
And how about a fourth sibling?? A Bonneville Bobber 400??? I'd instantly fall in love with the very idea!
🙌 sounds good.
Hi, thanks for the video, really insightful, I am in the market for a middle weight, how would you compare this to KTM adv 390, especially from an angle which can do all a bit better, commuting, touring, daily use?
The 390A is a great long distance tourer with bad roads handling ability. The 400X is a great B & C roads motorcycle with decent open highway ability.
Bang on point sir. Spec sheet is for keyboard and not on/off-road.
😃👍
"This is the most fun I had out of bed", say no more 😂
😀
Which one do you suggest for city ride: this Scrambler or honda cb350?
For city & highway, Scrambler
A very amazing and detailed review along with very good sense of humour that I have come across till now. I have a question and I know you are the right person from whom I can expect a genuine answer to my question. My question is that I live in Kolkata previously owned a classic 350 for 8 years and was fully satisfied but I wanted to upgrade and then switched to a Dominar 400 UG accessories version a year back but my owner experience has not been good to what purpose I use my bike for. I mostly ride in the city and go for weekend rides but the Dominar feels very heavy in the city and it’s not comfortable which causes me lot of ride fatigue and back pain. I have finally decided switching to the Triumph bikes, I have a height of 5.9 feet and around 72kgs but I am very very confused between the speed 400 or the scrambler 400x. I don’t want to make the wrong decision again as my purpose is to have fun in the city and occasionally weekend rides and ride comfort is my priority. Could you please tell which will be better for me?
I suggest the Scrambler 400. It's light and had great suspension and the seating and handlebar position is better than the Speed. Check if the seat height is comfortable.
@@bigbearbangalorethank you so so much Sir for your valuable suggestion. It’s very helpful.
Acho que se essa moto, pega estrada de chão lá fora noutro país, vai haver aptidão aqui no Brasil! Temos muitas trilhas de estradão de terra e pasto. Bem vinds 400x!
Alex Almeida
👍
Loved the review! I'm around 5'7 - 5'8 . Will I struggle on the Scrambler?
You won't struggle but flat footing both may be an issue.
@@bigbearbangalore got it, thank you! Will check it out in the showroom when it comes.
04:06 aaaahhhhh!!! Was waiting for something like that..
Got your wish then! 🙂
@@bigbearbangalore booked that on 6th of July..still waiting to get it

Some revelations here
1) Your episode in bed
2) I will remember I heard it first here regarding Tiger 400.
(Feel jealous how i missed it myself 😂)
😃🙏
How are the vibrations? (From what I've heard, below 6500-7000 rpm, the engine is relatively silent whereas above it, the engine becomes quite vocal.)
Yes some vibes creep in above 6500 but nothing that bothered me or made riding at those speeds hard or tough.
I'm a Thai person. I'm choosing between Vstrom 250 sx and Triumph Scrambler 400x. The price of both models is almost the same in Thailand.
I need a motorcycle to go to work 3-4 times a week, a distance of about 80 km (160 km round trip). It is mainly on road riding.
I like vstrom 250 in term of mileage efficiency and may has a lower maintanance cost.
Which model is better about the suspension for long distance riding on a Highway and/ a bad road.
My weight is 90 kilograms.
- Which model do you recommend between vstrom sx and scrambler 400x?
Hi. The 400X suspension is far superior to the V250 in terms of travel and comfort. The V has street suspension. However due to the highet CC and power output the 400X will consume more fuel and maintenance costs likely to be a bit more.
Thank you so much
Hi Sir
I like your reviews and informations. Awesome video of Scrambler and Speed. I am confused between Speed and Scrambler and planning to buy next year. Kindly advise which I should go for.
I am 5’9 heavy set guy. I use 99% city rides and daily office commutes and hangout with friends within city limits on weekends.
Please give your views
They are different. Try each and choose. The 400X I find more comfy.
Thank you sir. I will give a shot like you advised
Nice bike
It is.
Now you have put me in a dilemma, whether to go for Himalayan 450 or Scrambler 400
Ride and choose.
How is fueling between 0% and 1% throtle? Is it smooth transition or a bit jumpy? Thanks for video
Don't recall. Check the Speed 400 review video which has more detail on this engine.
Yes I head it first here and may be born out from ur idea. I'm just thinking how that could be on the road and with the name badge... The tiger 400.... Wow
😀👍 anything is possible. The quest for growth.
@@bigbearbangalore yes the quest for growth always

0:26 at this timestamp why do riders wear that head kerchief (i don't know the exact name😅) is there any significant value? To protect the helmet from the sweat from head? I feel like there is significant decrease in ventilation to head 😢
Protect the helmet from sweat.
Sir what about the gear box is it smooth ?
And also what about the braking on scrambler
Gearbox and brakes are pretty good.
Good one Sir !
What do you say Triump Scrambler (the Cruiser side) stands upto the HD 440x ?
Quite opposite in character.
I had that same concern.
Harley 440X
Triumph 400 scrambler
RE Himalayan 452
3 contenders
RE now has competition and it looks strong.
Tubers said the Triumph is coming in at $ 5700.00 US.
No price on the other 2.
Tough choices require thorough research and repeat test rides. So when the H450 is here, make the effort, take the call.
Sir kindly tell about pillion seating space... Will this be comfortable along with a pillion?
Haven't ridden pillion or with pillion so don't know. Sorry.
Since you have booked it already just curious to know what’s the best looking colour?
I like the green.
In terms of refinement which BIKE would you suggest to buy.
scram 400 X or Honda HINESS CB 350
kindly let me know sir
Refinement = Honda
If tiger 400 is out soon. Then this will be the king in the mid weight ADV segment
Yes it can.
a person who is upgrading from 160 cc bike looking to discover long ride and off roading and using it for regular city commute will this work or should I wait for himalayan
Yes wait and ride and then choose.
Off topic question :
Can i buy xpulse pro over standard one, does mileage get affected and any other things that i should know, pls reply
For.more aggressive dirt riding the Pro perhaps is more suited. Mileage part I don't know.
