Hey im that lady who told you lol. I'm so glad you guys got to go! Excellent video! And you met my friend Carlos! Hes such a wonderful guy. Everyone at the Irish Pub is so sweet. I've stayed there many times over the years. Sitting on that porch is the best. And yes that building is slanted lol. Willie nelson is a good friend of the owners. He has been there, i dont know if he has stayed. This place is a true gem of AC. And thanks so much for the excellent tour!

You are welcome. And thanks for taking care of my buddy! Maybe we can get an Vacation Education ghost hunter's edition! Lol. Stay the night. I swear that place is haunted. Doors open and close. Ive been the only one on a floor and have heard muttled voices....my next pick fpr you to visit Jim Thorpe Pa!
I've been staying there the past few years since I stopped gambling in the casinos. I enjoy the old school Atlantic City. No more flashy stuff. Just keeping it real. There's no air conditioning. An ocean breeze, and a fan. I'll be kicking back in one of those rocking chairs next week. DO AC!
back in 1970 I had just turned 13 and my father set me up with a friend of his from his Coast Guard years who had small charter fishing boat. I boarded at the Inn that summer and it was one of the best times of my life. The habit back then was to hire young ladies from Ireland to work the pub dining room and housekeeping. They all lived in the topmost floor and my small single room was just below. It was like having a dozen older sisters looking after me. One would knock on my door about 3:30 to wake me up. Another would make sure I ate all my breakfast and hand me a bag lunch and send me off on my bike to the bay. Skipper always had me join him and his wife for dinner, put a marker in a can for my share of the day's tips, then drive me back to the inn after a hot shower. When I got back I would find my clothes were cleaned and folded - but I always made my own bed in the morning! Some evenings I'd sit on the high porch for the cool breeze and fall asleep on a highback rocker listening to the sounds of the boardwalk and the breakers... then by 8pm one of the girls would wake me up and send me off to bed... that summer I was Jim Hawkins... but in a safe harbor :) I'll always be grateful for the hospitality of the pub's owners and especially their staff from Ireland
@@johnknowles6711 I'm glad that you have the chance to stay at the Inn. I don't need tell you what a special place it is in our hearts and in our history. Best wishes to you - Slaintѐ!
Anybody who hasn’t been there around Christmas is missing out on something pretty amazing. The owner puts her heart and soul into decorating the place. For me Christmas isn’t Christmas till I go to the Irish pub. I live not far and try to go as often as I can. Also, Kelsey Grammar is known to bar tend there every so often to promote his beer. Not bad beer either. Imagine having a beer served by one of the OG Cheers cast..
That’s one of the best places around imo. I stayed there overnight with my son’s Mom. It was an adventure. No AC and we shared a bathroom - not for everyone but was an experience. The bartenders there are top notch - friendly and conversational. Rocking chairs do work and the place in the back is awesome for chilling out and taking in the night. It truly takes you back - talk about ambience 😂!
Cool video. Every time I visit AC I go to the Irish Pub. The food is inexpensive and the people who work there are very friendly. It's right off the boardwalk. I never knew about Joe DiMaggio staying there? Next time I will visit the upstairs hotel. Very interesting place.
AC has alot of potential. Its run horribly by the Mayor, Marty Small and his Superintendent of schools wife, Laquetta who were both charged with beating their teen daughter with a broom until she was unconscious. They both still have their jobs
Good vlog destination is Twin Lights lighthouse in Highlands NJ overlooking Sandy Hook state park also a great destination with abandoned Fort Hancock military base. Just a few miles away is Mt.Mitchell, 2nd highest point on east coast with amazing views of NYC on a clear day and take Seastreak Ferry to NYC.
Hey guy's Another place at the Jersey shore is the oldest beach in the nation " Cape May" plenty of shopping and along the beach ( 425 ocean drive) is the Blue moon pizza open year round 11am till 3am. Great pizza that had gluten free pizza's on the island best pizza best falafel and many entrées & sandwiches. Just ask for what you Like t and the owner (sieed ) will create a dish you will never forget . The prices are really reasonable for such a famous place on the map. New jersey s historical and oldesst resort in the world....😊
Bobby from NJ. Hello. You are doing a great job! Thank you. Have you ever checked out the Mom and pop buffet in Wildwood. There is next to none, if any videos on it. It's called Red Oak Restaurant, but is a breakfast and dinner buffet. I would love to see you or someone do a video on it for a dinner. I haven't had time to check it out myself. Thanks.

The place has a cool history, but the food is terrible. We ate there two weeks ago and ordered the same as you. The fish is terribly overcooked and greasy and the burgers were ok. Next time we will just go for a beer
