- The Jan 01, 2018 New Year's Eve fireworks signaled the end of the Canada 150 year. Thank you to all of you who come out and celebrate. Best wishes for 2018!! Canada 150 Vancouver Canada Day (July 1st, 2017) fireworks at Coal Harbour is comparable to the Celebration of Light at English Bay. Unlike the Celebration of Light (Japan, UK & Canada in 2017), the Canada 150 fireworks is best viewed at Canada Place (west promenade), the Vancouver Trade and Convention Center, Jack Poole Plaza etc.
The national anthem of O Canada (English, French and instrumental versions) was used as an additional soundtrack for effects in celebration of this special event. July 1, 2017 was the nation's 150th year of the Canadian confederation. Canada 150 (1867-2017). Toronto and Ottawa also had spectacular Canada 150 fireworks.

Greetings from Australia. Was in Canada in August 2014, such a beautiful setting at Canada Place for viewing. Can this be reposted without the banner, please. Also tone down O Canada! after the first 2 minutes or so. A better soundtrack of music should be added so it doesn't drown out the fireworks.

As a creator of my RUclips channel, I get to choose how I present or 'package' my videos. This is the way I did it for this clip. There are many other clips elsewhere that shows a plain recording of the fireworks, so there is a choice. I am a Canada 150 official partner, so I used the official Canada 150 logos and they do look nice :) and add to the patriotic feelings that many Canadians feel on this special day. WE LOVE CANADA!!! :)
I wholeheartedly agree, but frankly, I think your love for Canada didn't show as much as it should have. For your next video, please enlarge the CANADA 150-Logo to cover about 50-60% of the screen. After all, it looks really, really nice.
I hear you :) but actually I am now thinking in the opposite direction, i.e. reduce the size of Canada 150 logo and extend it with additional wordings such as 'Vancouver 2017' at the end. When done, the graphics would occupy maybe 1/8 of the screen height. Also to further lessen the logo's prominence, I would reduce it's intensity more so it is semi-transparent etc. etc... but you know I don't have a whole team of graphics artists working for me like a broadcaster would have, so when time is pressing, I just have to get the video out ASAP. What the heck, there is always the next time...Cheers! :)
Lose the banner at the bottom!!! It covers up 1/3 of the fireworks. WE KNOW IT'S CANADA'S 150th. We also know O Canada! We've heard it already! Put some awesome beatiful amazing music on by a Canadian composer, why don't you?
