Oh wow, I grew up on Broad street. What a difference 10+ years bring. The streets appear really small. And the roads are much busier with cars. I was surprised to see some of the old homes in my time didn’t get dismantled yet.

What’s your thought on some modern architecture in Guyana change the landscape..can you all say about the Pegasus expansion project how is the work progressing and how tall will that be...we need some Skycrapers along Demerara river

    • @RaphaelNation

      Guyana needs modern architecture
The old Wooden buildings are prone to fires and wood ants. But some of the new buildings lack any architectural merit. There are just boxes. I will make a video about architecture and the expansion of he Pegasus and the rapid decline of the building structure at the Marriott Hotel.

Raphael Nation guessing Pegasus will now be the tallest building in GT..What other modern architectural projects are ongoing in Georgetown? It seems as if many people own land to build but are not building for what ever reason. Guyana should have an economic zone along the Demerara river ,where special tax incentives are given to boost construction of modern architecture..When you look at countries that were pooor and got rich off oil they all had vision .Guyana Government seems to not have a vision or plan for architectural development. I heard they spoke of a modern port and boardwalk by Pegasus since 2 years ago .where are the works for that?when is the new Demerara bridge being built. All these were allocated for in the budget.why no work commencing, that’s how the economy will grow on every pillar...The minister of finance also seem clueless on how to facilitate more investment from Asia especially...With all the oil money coming ,there should be investors from China,Singapore,Kuwait,Dubai.,Japan etc ...forget about incompetent caricom until they serious about fair trade, equal treatment for passengers,CCJ,and a single currency.

Guyana is a member of Organization of Islamic Conference and have ties with Kuwait ,Quatar,UAE .those are the the three largest oil producers in the world (per citizen) . In 5 years Guyana will be way ahead of them for oil production per citizen . Where is the developmental plan ?

Stanley Ming has a Guyana 2030 plan on RUclips the government should just make the necessary upgrades and used that plan .They wouldn’t even need foreign investors for that

The breeze is making very hard to hear you talk. !! Maybe you can like tape a small piece of sponge on the microphone that will eliminate the background noise level. Anyway thanks for posting videos. Very nice 👌👍

I’m using my iPhone to film because I use it to go running and I made these videos during my morning run. The Samsung phones have better microphones but they don’t last as long. I will do voiceovers until I get better equipment.

Raphael. what is your take on dual citizenship in Guyana. personally i think if we are to go down that road,
    1. it would not insulate Guyana form foreign interference. for example develop and developing country are now taken serious step to improve security in there country
    2. how would politician held accountable for act of corruption if the have the leverage to return to other countries.
    3. how can the constitution be arrange or design in a way to protect the citizen of Guyana.
    4. and how are politician being able to give then self salaries raise because both party did it.are mechanism put in place to prevent things like these form happing.

I agree with the interpretation of the constitution to exclude dual citizens from the National Assembly. I will make a video explaining my point of view. I agree with your reasoning. The fact that we have so many new political parties shows that Guyanese are willing and able to do the job, so the choice of dual citizens to run our institutions and make our laws is a continuation of colonialism. It shows a preference for North America and British based Guyanese over our people who live here all their lives. We are a sovereign nation and our independence means we chose to manage our own affairs without our colonial masters. No dual citizenship should be given preference over Guyanese citizenship. They can contribute to the country in other ways besides making our laws.
