Absolutely zero footage of the actual event.
Don’t know why Utah news always does this
Privacy laws for minors, they need permission.
Right? So stupid 🙄 I can follow a news story without b-roll footage. 😒
She's a minor, so they can't show her
@@auntiec6294and still, here you are. Bored af, no doubt.
Sounds like he said “good thing a drunk driver saw her swerving “ 0.30 😂😂😂
💯
I had to rewind it 5x before I figured out it said "truck driver" because I swore it said "drunk driver" 😂
@@hustlinghard8081 Same here 😂
I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought that that's what was said
I had to rewind too.
Don’t be helping her, scare the 💩 out of her, otherwise she will be a repeat offender because she got away with it!
I think they did with the pit maneuver if that don’t scare a kid nothing will
@@jessicles23well considering she had no reaction… juvie is much scarier than a pit maneuver.
@@PillsburyPyro true true but we all know she won’t end up there
@dawsonadamws6968 well she was frozen so
@@PillsburyPyroexactly!!
These cops will be stopping her again in her future.
Stole my first car at 12 years old as well. There was nobody thinking about how they could help me, just straight into the system where I immediately learned from older criminals how to screw my life up even worse. Glad to see the times are changin' up a bit. I wish this girl a better future.
I resemble this remark. Except, I was 14.
Oh well ,You should've known better.
Was it your family car, so the owner (parent, sibling) didn't want to or was coerced not to press charges? It makes a difference.
Lol, I call bs on this 😂😂 sounds totally made up by someone who has no idea how the real world works. It's more like something you would see on tv.
@@KordellBrandthow exactly does this sound made up? I was doing drugs and robbing houses at 13/14 years old. Went to juvie for the first time when I was 16 and did learn new and better tricks from the older kids that were also locked up.
Then I utilized those things I learned when I got out and then ended up going to real jail several different times. Thankfully nothing I got caught for were felony charges. Then at 31 my girlfriend got pregnant and I decided to grow up and change my life. They're far more details to the story but I gave you the abbreviated version.
You're either 12 and have no life experience, or you have lived a very sheltered life and have a rich mommy and daddy who have protected you from the real world, and did not go to public school. There's five or six of these kids in every public school in America. You're The only one talking out of their neck in this particular comment thread.
Where are her parents? Maybe she was trying to get away from something horrible happening at home or a foster home. Maybe she is just a brat. Find out what's happening before condemning her.
My thoughts exactly
Did you watch to the end of the video? Sounds like that's what they're going to do.
@@Stapioka They're probably talking out these comments, most of whom are condemning her
My response wouldn't be to try and ram the cop if I was in danger. She seemed to be driving pretty well if the only concern was the drunk swerving which is most likely because she's too short to see properly. She probably saw a video online or something
Exactly. UTAH. How many other Ruby Franke wha cko mom are out there. Google abuse in the Mormon church and LDS! The fact that she took off and wouldn't even respond sounds like an abuse case to me. The scared rabbit defense. Trust me!
There is a flip side to this. When I was 16, I looked,10. I got, pulled over 56 times in 3 months. Thus left me shell shocked!****
I was twice lucky that way. When I was in my teens, I looked like I was in my 20’s. When I was in my 40’s I looked like I was in my 30’s. Now that I’m in my 60’s, I still look like I;m in my 50’s but just with gray hair…😂
me being 25 and getting mistaken for a 16 year old every time i leave my house without makeup on 😭 buying alcohol always results in a "wow you look like a high schooler!"
Sorry but to get pulled over that many times you must have been doing something wrong
Ouch
I think some consequences are pretty important here.
Why did she take the car ? Where is trying to go? Is she safe at home? How did she learn how to drive? So many questions.
Oh good now all the 12 year olds know it’s a freebee
It’s a matter of making the situation better not worse
She needs to have at least a little of punishment. It’s called consequences.
Um yeah because she's 12?!
@@carolinasones1541 agreed 👍
@@E-C_961 Soooo 12 year olds dont know what theyre doing suddenly???
Even though she's a minor they should release the video of what happened but blur her face out just to show to other parents and other teenagers of what not to do and what can happen and what you don't want to happen.
How was she not scared to merge onto the freeway???
I wouldn't have a tooth left in my head and wouldn't be able to sit for a week if that had been me. My mom would've made sure I never wanted to drive again.
Instead, these parents are like, "I know you're upset. This is me validating your feelings. You can't take my car because you're only 12. It's illegal. I'm just gonna leave my keys right here. They're not for you..." 😂
I'm sorry you grew up in a household where abuse was the answer to discipline.
My parents put the fear of God in me at a young age with a belt. At 12 years old stealing a vehicle would've never crossed my mind.
Same here
Yep….a good ol BELT is what these new age kids need and so do their parents for never wanting to spank their children. These parents nowadays are crappy parents
Same!
I mean mines completely opposite bc my grandparents beat ts outta me all the time it made me sneak & drive my uncles truck I was 16 though 😂
Doesn't mean it's a good idea
She might have "swerved toward him" when he was alongside because she looked at this vehicle coming alongside and pacing her. They used to teach "you go where you look", but that no longer seems to be common knowledge.
We need the body and dash cam for this
They probably won't bc she's a minor
It’s public record that you can put a FOIA request for. They will probably blur her face and information because she’s a minor.
Woke Google won't allow it.
@@Flashback_JackSays the 4th grader who has no clue what the true meaning of the worn out word, WOKE is. How cutesy of you. 🙄🤣
@@Flashback_Jackbro they cant post pics of a minor or their information. Its not woke its protecting children
Useless video, not relevant to subject matter. But my 12 year old brother did worse when he jumped into my father’s new Buick and accidentally stepped on the gas pedal instead of the brake. He was in reverse gear, so the car shot out of the driveway, across the street, and into a huge old tree. As a result, the engine was shoved out the front of the car, and it was totaled. He and his friends in the car were okay, but it took a few days to find him, he was so scared.
Where is the bodycam footage?
Right- just random footage of pavement. Even if she’s a juvenile I would think the media use the footage and blur her face.
They just posted it
@@mikalin9286they posted it
@@katejohnson3598where?
That kid needs more discipline 😮😮
Kids have been taking cars before they were old enough to drive for ages. This has nothing to do with today's generation. No one knows the context. Maybe she was running away from a bad home. Maybe she was getting groceries for a family while her mom was working. Y'all always want to assume the worst of kids.
@@Im_AshParkerMaybe she was bored and a brat.
They treat certain types of kids so sweet
Where is the rest of the story? Why did she take the car? Where was she going? What happened when they told her parents? This is very poor reporting
Probably not saying for privacy reasons…I’m curious too
I totally agree with you.
I believe the news organization think that is all we need to know.
*kids now a days be looking like their 30s but is a 12 year old.*
If you can't tell the difference between a child and a 30 year old, that's an incredibly concerning thing for you. Hope you're not approaching 6 year olds thinking they're 18.
@@UhOpheliait was an exaggeration…. Hes saying they look older than they are. I met 12 year olds who looked my age and i genuinely thought they were 18 they were my height had crop tops booty shorts makeup hair done up. When i was 12 i looked 12 lol
@@flameepidemic4839 womp womp
What a BS.
You couldn't interview the actual trooper that stopped the car? News reporting has gone down hill a lot.
Get over it.
💯 Absolutely agree!! Best comment.

I doubt he’s allowed to comment on an ongoing investigation
@@user-ip5dm6jf8k I recommend getting a massage in the near future. God bless. ❤
I predict prison time in her future.
How optimistic
Oh how realistic.
@@CityPeteshe’s 12 stealing a car putting many lives in danger. Are you telling me she’ll be a Harvard grad?
@@PillsburyPyro No, I’m saying this is a pessimistic viewpoint and a premature judgement of what this girl will do with her future. People that have made mistakes, especially youth and teens, need to understand that they don’t need to be bound by those mistakes. I hope she graduates from college, maybe even from Harvard, and does something incredible with her life.
0:27 😂 sounded like he says, "Good thing a drunk driver called it in" and I had to replay it a few times 😅😅
They make it sound like they did such a gentle pit maneuver stop. Broke the glass for her safety and acted nice ALL TO a girl who they didn't know was just a girl with all that gentle pit stop. Love to see that dash cam footage!!
So you're trying to justify a twelve-year-old moron behind the wheel that could have killed anyone. That's what you're trying to do?????
thank you KSL for the stock footage
Why does every news story need two newsreaders?
Is it that difficult?
Let's pretend it is and let these people keep their jobs shall we? I'm sure they have bills to pay. They're just doing what they're told.
I watch news from all over. The one that looked strange to me is when two sitting at the news desk sat, turned and told each other the news report, glancing occasionally at the audience.
Gotta say, thats quite an achievement, to get the worst footage of an incident on the internet. 😅
It's nice to see a rehab positive outcome approach instead of ruining the beginning of somebody's journey through this strange world we're all experiencing 🇺🇸❤️🇺🇸❤️🇺🇸🙏🙏💯👍👍
And that’s why kids do whatever they want to do. Smmfh. Charges need to be made, even if they’re minor charges. She could’ve killed somebody smmfh
Where was she going at Midnight?
My mom end my foolish ways...
it's clear why they're troopers and not detectives.
Would this exempt her from taking driver's training if she ever gets that far in high school?
She’s not drunk she’s 12 and needs to be charged with grand theft auto for this wreck less behaviour!! If other kids see this and say she got away with it they will end up doing the same thing and possibly killing somebody!!
The charge would most likely be “unauthorized use of a motor vehicle “. She’s just getting a slap on the wrist anyway
Maybe, but something tells me there is more to the story and it's better to not throw the book, teach the kid a lesson, and help her to grow into a good person by being involved long past the court/jail stuff.
"Mom and Dad, why won't you let me get a driver's license? I'm 17?"
Treat her as they would an adult.
A drunk driver saw her swerving? This happened when it was dark yet all the footage is mid day. This is horrible reporting.
I was driving at 9 yrs old, tractors & pickup trucks in low gear pulling trailers out on the family farm! Heck. . . .i was even driving semi trucks at the age of 3 sitting on my dads lap with my teeny tiny hands on that big ole giant steering wheel out on the highways! Of course dad had his hands hidden so i couldnt see em, lol but i sure thought that i "was king of the road", lemme tellya🤣🤣🤣! Good times👍🏻
“No note! Car gone! You could have *died* , you could have been *seen* !”
A young MAGICAL usual suspect.
This usually happens with a boy.
Accountability is gone forever
Parents must be so proud
Kid needs to lose all privedges that she currently has. She's lucky she didn't get killed.
So glad they want to help her!
Show me a prison felon before starting high School
Why was a 12 yr old driving? What's the reason? Sounds like she was running for her life.
That is not midnite it light outside. The cop cannot tell she is 12? Weird all around.
Had an ( at the time ) 14 year old nephew who could have passed for a college kid. ( Already 6 feet tall .)
Child needs all the help they can give her.
What a brat,,,
Good helping hand response from troopers
I'd tell the CPS that they can have her.
Hoping she pays attention to the help. Also her mother. I use to hear "When it gets quiet, check on your children. "
Wish we could see what see looked like, how'd they not immediately realize she was 12?
She don't need help they need punished for being bad That's what the whole problem is and you guys want to help her be your friend she needs punished
Did he say, "Good thing a drunk driver saw her swerving and called 911"?! 😮😂
I wonder if she is a classified sociopath or psychopath.
A child of God that needs love
@@AnarSchism. Definitely that as well. Thank you for bringing in the Divine.
Future criminal, great parenting!!!
Stop blaming the parents! That child made the wrong choice and I’m sure she was taught right from wrong.
GLAD SHE'S OK ❤❤❤.
I thought he said, "good thing a drunk driver decided to call" 🤣 🤣 🤣
Bless them. Home problems some times push children to the extreme.
12?!! That kid is going through something. Hope she'll be ok
Un-usual suspect. Mormon... ☆
I want to know what the mom did for her 12 year old to steal her car…..
Unless otherwise reported, nothing. Kids do kid things all the time, they just don't all make the news. They have their own brains, their own ideas, and have more influences than just at home.
Where's the video of the pit maneuver?
Asked her what was her birthday? They can’t tell the difference between a child and an adult??
“They want to try to see how they can help her instead of throwing the book at her.” If only they took that approach with adults.
Where are you going!? You're 12!
Stole a car, fled from police. "Want to help her instead of throw the book at her"? I'm sure that will teach her a lesson.
They grow up so fast
This is why you keep your keys put up when you have older kids or teens in the house.
The craziest part about the story is the sign in the back offering 6.49% interest on used car loans, used cars interest rates are 12 to 15%🤔😵💫😵💫
They couldn't tell that she was a child?? I call BS. And even when they did "find" out, a parent or gaurdian is supposed to be called.
Look at that view tho those mountains are so beautiful 😮
I hope they make sure she wasn’t trying to escape an abusive situation before releasing her to her parents.
Why bother showing day-time driving footage? Incident happened at Midnight. How about showing the actual car instead?
This is happening more and more. This is the 4 or 5th one I have heard of in the last few years.
Hopefully her mom or dad has a good belt so she doesn't ever get that thought in her head again
Help her? That's what's wrong with society, no consequences. Throw the book at her and the parents. Ridiculous.
Ain’t no mf way I pulled some s*it like this I wouldn’t see 13 I’m tellin you now
Smh @ the parents, or lack of!!!!
2:04 "...because of her age, troopers say they're more interested in seeing how they could help her rather than throwing the book at her"
ah yes, police thinking their job is to assume ultimate authority and undermine the duties of courts and lawmakers...and shouldn't that *"seeing how they could help"* apply to anyone regardless of their age?
Please someone explain to me what is a pit maneuver. Thank you.
The PIT maneuver (precision immobilization technique) or TVI (tactical vehicle intervention) is a law enforcement pursuit tactic in which a pursuing vehicle forces another vehicle to turn sideways abruptly, causing the driver to lose control and stop.
@@pinkmosquito22 Thank you! Do they hit the pursuing car to cause it to turn sideways? Thank you again.
@@sashasabbeth6836sometimes that has happened, but it's used to stop the car
@@AnarSchism. I am trying to visualize how the police approached her car. Thank you. Happy Easter.
@@sashasabbeth6836 You're welcome. They approach the rear of the vehicle and make contact with the fender area. Once contact is made, they push the vehicle slightly which causes it to lose control when all conditions are met. You should be able to find drawings or videos online if you look it up.
NO FOOTAGE ??????
That's why always get a manual car!!!
I was going to comment the same thing. 😂 I’ve had a manual for 26 years.
They’d be arresting me for child abuse after this
Maybe she was running away from an abuser! And that is such a gross comment.
I started driving when I was 14…. But, not on the Freeway!!😮
I'm not sure giving her a pass is the best thing. Actions have consequences, and at 12 this is a big learning time, what are they teaching her?
Yeah, im not buying it. You couldn't tell a twelve year old was a child? No video / body cam footage of the actual event. 🤔 okay, if you say so.
Man the only driving I did when I was 12 was on Need for Speed
A future world record speed holder like Brittany Force, in training. Yeah, I got busted for doing 100 when I was 12🤣
Just looking to pull someone over... Clearly she wasn't even drunk.
wow that's crazy, i took the 7200 south exit/entrance everyday
Headlights? In sunshine?
Well.. WILL they charge a 12 yr old? Like.. maybe not?
If she was mine, I'd probably be facing charges when they brought her back to me.
Kid decided ti go full GTA 5!! Please folks, dont go full GTA5!!!
Something is not being told here. This doesn't seem like a kid out for adventure in mom or dad's car. News media usually give a follow-up on certain stories. 🤔
