I’m going to give u a really good tip as a candle maker myself , you shouldn’t ever put your heat gun right up against your jar or vessel due to your glass could get to hot and explode not pretty seen it happen in before in class

Not necessarily, but you can if you like. However, the fragrance may discolour it . The fragrance should be in the soy wax as that burns at a lower temperature point compared to the gel wax.
