Every time I admit to being a Christian anywhere on the internet, I get so many people hating my comment, downvoting or whatever the equivalent is, even when I'm saying a positive comment. There's so much hate and discrimination against anyone who isn't atheist or agnostic, it's like everyone's forgotten the point of religious freedom is that everyone can believe what they want - or not believe - without being bullied for it.

I love all people regardless of their own religions or identities or preferences and I always worry that when I mention being a Christian that people will automatically assume I am against them. I’m glad you’ve mentioned it though, the world does need more representation of what a good Christian is!

Honestly, I so fully understand the nervousness with being open with your religion. I've been a fan of you since the very beginning, popsicle stick painting and hand sculpting squishies out of memory foam. Saying that, I'm a trans man, I've never ever once thought that there was a possibility of you being a hateful person. As a Christian myself, I love seeing a loving, kind, openly very nice person, say they're Christian; breaking that idea that we're all hateful. On another note, I adore your respect for your daughters, it's amazing to see a creator not show their children on camera (I know you did, but like you said, she won't look the same for very long at her age.) She is pretty amazing. But also, like the majority of the world she’s a working mother. So her videos she posts on fridays are a result of her job during the week. She’s also very fortunate to have a loving & supportive husband. As well as having her mom for child care. She’s very successful, I’m sure she also has the privilege to afford help such as house cleaners and such. She definitely works hard and has a life most of the world can only dream of 💕
Christians should never judge because our father in heaven is the only one to judge. and if you find yourself with a judge full Christian then they are probably a lukewarm Christian. Lukewarm Christian’s believe God is real but doesn’t follow his word, read the Bible every day, pray. Basically they don’t do anything but say they are a Christian. Hope this helps! Also here is the Bible verse that talks about Lukewarm Christians Revelation 3:15-16 “I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot. So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth” In this verse, Jesus is both threatening and appealing. He is calling Christians to live with wholehearted devotion to Him, and He is warning that lukewarmness is incompatible with the Christian walk. Basically meaning Jesus wants you to follow him in full not just half way.

As a Christian myself, I understand that fear of being perceived as not accepting and loving, but that’s contrary to what the Bible teaches anyway. @@eveningjaguar The Bible has the quote of "love thy neighbor." However many (despite being strict Christian believers) do not follow this principle. I am queer and I've experienced horrible hate from Christians, but I've also seen other Christians stand up for my community. The perspective of Christianity should not make people fear bringing it up, just like sexuality. While I do get nervous whenever it's brought up, it shouldn't be an automatic assumption. There are many who are hateful, but there are many who are loving. Love is always stronger than hate.

As a transgender person with religious trauma who is also familiar with the culture, you've used some turns of phrases that only Christians say ("put it on my heart" is one I remember offhand), and it felt reassuring hearing you say you don't want anyone to feel excluded. I've always hoped you're an accepting Christian, and I also knew you were one. I was able to have that hope because you've been representing Christians well. The things you said made me feel more safe watching your videos in these really scary times. Also, thank you for sharing your family with us. You've not only made really responsible content about your children, but your pregnancy-related content was fun too! You struck a great balance of giving that part of your life space and presence while keeping with your regular work. You're a really great creator and it looks like you're blessed to have an awesome family as well. As someone who isn't Christian, I don't hate you and never will, you are an absolute light in so many peoples lives and you've always shown everyone love and kindness. It makes me happy to see non judgemental Christians. I also want to let others know it's ok to be open About your faith and beliefs, as long as you are doing it in a good manner and not forcing it, this goes for all religions and beliefs. We're meant to spread love and kindness and be there for one another and Moriah has set an amazing example of this!
I'm Christian, I'd go up and say it, wether what way you'd treat me, I dont scream at gay people or people with different beliefs, I love them, I just don't agree with what you are doing and would love you to get saved, but I won't force it. As a practicing pagan and someone who is queer, I would never judge someone’s religion. A lot of the most wonderful people I’ve met were Christians who made me feel so welcomed and loved. It’s really sad that there is a community of them that cast such harsh judgement that it affects the religion as a whole. Your beliefs are beautiful and you have every right to them, just as everybody else does. Also your daughter is so cute!
Lucky you I keep finding worse and worse christians in my life so I'm still traumatized by them 🥲. Because the one I met are such hateful people even they tho they say they only "spread love"... but not only this religion others too and I'm tired to try and find connection with them since it's only met with them hating on me so I've closed my door. (sorry if english is not completely correct this is not my first language).

Although I'm not Christian, I do appreciate you being open and honest about your faith. I'm sorry that it's something you feel worried to share - as someone who's part of the LGBTQ+ community, I know many people aren't particularly fond of Christians (which I understand, but I know that not every Christian is hateful towards us). You being Christian doesn't change anything for me. So long as you aren't discriminatory (which I haven't EVER seen on your channel), you're more than okay in my books. ❤ Edit: Everybody is entitled to their beliefs. However, I find it hateful to explicitly state that you "don't agree" with us in conversation. Maybe you don't agree, and that's fine. But perhaps keep that to yourself. I don't think it'd be nice for someone to say, "I don't believe in your God," before continuing like it's nothing. The other thing is that while I believe people don't have to agree, it's still important to acknowledge that as long as nobody is being hurt or is a bigot, people deserve respect. For example, transgender people deserve to be addressed by their preferred and proper pronouns, not whatever you assume them to be. A man is man regardless of what he was assigned at birth, just like a woman is a woman, or a person outside of the binary is a person outside of the binary. Intentionally not addressing trans people by their preferred pronouns is blatantly transphobic, disrespectful, and hateful, no matter what your religious beliefs are. It hurts a lot being misgendered. It's already a part of everyday life for people who aren't cis-gendered, especially if you haven't transitioned (or don't want to). Or just refer to us by name - it's okay to not use gendered pronouns and to just call someone by their name. Plenty of people prefer that anyway. ALSO also, just because you haven't seen it doesn't mean it didn't (or hasn't) happened. This, too, goes for everyone. Perhaps you haven't seen any Christians in your life be discriminatory towards the LGBTQ+ community. While that is amazing and I applaud them, there's still hundreds of thousands (if not millions) of people who have had horrific experiences. It could be from the church, from school mates, to teachers, to family members - it's still happening and is very common today. It's a depressing fact, but it's important to keep this in mind. On the other hand, just because you may not have seen it, or all your experiences have been bad, not every Christian is out to get you. I know that doesn't mean much, especially to those who have been traumatized by the system, but it is true. It's very hard to trust religious people (not matter how religious they are) when you've been repeatedly beaten down for trying to be who you are, or for experimenting, or for asking questions. It is. All I ask of people to be considerate and kind, and think of the impact your words have on others. We're all surviving on the same planet - the best we can do is show everyone kindness. Edit (2): For those of you who have experienced any kind of discrimination, regardless of who it was from, I'm sorry. You did not deserve to be hurt. You did not deserve to be abused. You did not deserve to be hit, or kicked, or experience any physical violence, any form of harassment. You did not deserve to be hurt, no matter how severe it was. You did not deserve to be hurt, no matter how old or how young you were. You did not deserve to be hurt, no matter what your race or ethnicity is. You did not deserve to be hurt, no matter your religious beliefs and whether or not you practiced. You did not deserve to be hurt, no matter how you acted or dressed and whether or not it matched your preferred pronouns. You did not deserve to be hurt, even if you expressed love with someone who was not of the opposite gender. You did not, and DO not, deserve ANY of the awful things that have happened. You are valid, regardless of what pronouns you use, if you're straight, if you're gay, if you're ace, if you're bi, if you're pan, if you're unlabeled, or even if you're questioning. You are always valid for being who you are. I hope that you are able to heal from what's happened (or happening). I hope that you find friends that love and support you. I hope you ALWAYS know that found family IS family. Even if you don't think it, there are people who will love you. There are people who will support you. You are not alone.

When I came out to her and the rest of our friend group as pansexual when we were in 8th grade, I was glad that she and the rest of our friends were so understanding. I love that she isn’t one of those Christians that discriminates the LGBTQ+ just for existing. She’s been so loving, sweet, kind, and supportive ever since we met in kindergarten. I’m forever grateful to have had her by my side for almost 12 years 💕 We used to watch you together, but she stopped watching you around 2020, which I respect because I understand that people’s interests change I’ve been watching you for about 5 or 6 years now. I was in 5th grade when I started watching you. Now I’m a high school junior. Your videos always make me laugh and make my day/week. They especially made me happier during the pandemic 💗. @@Itsmeemili A lot of people asume that as Christians we think we are better than everyone else because Jesus washed our sins away. But the Bible clearly says that we are all born sinners. Just because Jesus has forgiven our sins doesn’t mean that we are better than other people. Sadly a lot of Christians these day do believe that they are more important to God than people who aren’t saved. But that is just not true. The Bible says in John 3:16. “For God so loved the world. That he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him, should not perish ,but have everlasting life.” It says right there that God loves everyone. Not just Christians but everyone.
I am agnostic and love for others to feel accepted and welcome no matter what their background is 👏❤️ Moriah has created a wonderful space for anyone to feel accepted within the community! It’s place for love of art and rainbows!

As a Christian in highschool it is so hard to say your religion and faith without being labeled as bigoted or like your an awful human being. I love all people and do have my own opinions that come from the Bible but I don’t let that get in the way of how I treat people. it’s wonderful to know that someone else is a Christian and has the same fears as me to tell people and stuff. Can I ask where do you all get judged at? I grew up in the bible belt or the south whatever youd like to call it. Ive never seen someone get judged for being a Christian or really any religion here. It was more the people who didnt fit the mold in other ways that were judged. Thanks in advance for answering my question.

And let me tell you while I was in a small town where everyone knew everyone the teens out there were mean to me most of the time. @ oh wow that’s usually how the south is characterized. Most people dont know me, they might know my grandfather thats about as close as it gets to me (my grandfather does construction work around here). Im sure I wouldve been judge in church here since Im not straight and not religious. I remember my mom being judged for me and my siblings having different dads. That was in a church so I find it interesting that people were judged for being a Christian since it was usually the other way around for me.

Moriah, I'm not Christian, nor is anyone in my family, but I can assure you that no matter what religion you follow(even if you don't in the future), I will always support you seeing as you are truly a wonderful person. Religion does not define us by who we are, it's our choices, actions, and words that can define us and act a reason to like or dislike a person. Even if you shared a highly different opinion from me(like political views or favorite desert), I wouldn't hold it against you as long as you respected my opinion just as I would respect yours. ❤

I have been wondering for so long, as a queer person who watches your channel and has been for 4 years now. I’m not religious, but hearing a christian say they genuinely and truly accept everyone around them and would not judge them as people, put me at so much ease. We are in dire times with acceptance, and I didnt realize I needed to hear this from a creator like you. You always felt so welcoming, but at the same time it was clear you tended to stay away from certain topics (and honestly, I respect that- sometimes I need content that doesnt remind me of whats going on in the world). Thank you, you didnt have to tell us that (and I get why you were nervous about it, genuinely good Christians have a horrible rep right now), but thank you for making everyone who watches your channel feel accepted.

I had no idea you were Christian, but it never crossed my mind to even consider it! Now that I am considering it, I just wanted to say that you’ve done a wonderful job of representing Christianity! In some of her younger videos she said some things that made me wonder! When someone asked her if she believed in ghosts she said: The Holy Ghost! And she bent the cover of Sams Bible and explained that she went to youth group and Christian concerts!!!!!

I kinda love that Moriah is a Christian who is obsessed with rainbows. Because on the topic of Christians being seen in a bad light; the Christians I see/know typically veer away from the rainbow as it’s associated with the LGBTQIA+ community and said community is seen as “going against the Bible”. So I’m glad that you just love rainbows just because they’re pretty and maybe tickles your little ocd brain instead of associating it with anything in particular as well as not putting a negative connotation towards it. :) Expect Orange. I’m Christian myself and I feel as if the Christian community can be judged simply for the Christians that unfortunately have outdated beliefs and are very hateful to others. Part of us being Christians is to love, not to judge. It’s god’s job to judge, not us. I go by an analogy of, I do not care what you look like, what you believe in, who you want to love, what you want to call yourself, just as long as you aren’t hurting yourself or others, that is all I can ask for. Fellow christian here and I absolutely feel you and understand that you're nervous about telling the internet about your religion. The assumptions about christians (especially about them all being the same and holding the same believes) are frightening. Kudos for being open and honest and fighting the stereotypes :)
its weird of you to say the “assumptions” are frightening for christians. obviously not all christians are bigots but so many are and they use their religion to justify it so people are rightly so going to be scared that you are a bigot if you say you’re christian. its not an assumption based off nothing to be rude or malicious its an educated assumption based on fact and people have to make that assumption for their own safety.

Most "Christians" who spend their life bashing others are completely going against their own teachings, and I've met so many kind Christians it's sad that the mean one's are always the loudest in the community.

Every time I admit to being a Christian anywhere on the internet, I get so many people hating my comment, downvoting or whatever the equivalent is, even when I'm saying a positive comment. There's so much hate and discrimination against anyone who isn't atheist or agnostic, it's like everyone's forgotten the point of religious freedom is that everyone can believe what they want - or not believe - without being bullied for it.

Honestly, I so fully understand the nervousness with being open with your religion. I've been a fan of you since the very beginning, popsicle stick painting and hand sculpting squishies out of memory foam. Saying that, I'm a trans man, I've never ever once thought that there was a possibility of you being a hateful person. As a Christian myself, I love seeing a loving, kind, openly very nice person, say they're Christian; breaking that idea that we're all hateful.
On another note, I adore your respect for your daughters, it's amazing to see a creator not show their children on camera (I know you did, but like you said, she won't look the same for very long at her age.)

Christians should never judge because our father in heaven is the only one to judge. and if you find yourself with a judge full Christian then they are probably a lukewarm Christian. Lukewarm Christian’s believe God is real but doesn’t follow his word, read the Bible every day, pray. Basically they don’t do anything but say they are a Christian. Hope this helps! In this verse, Jesus is both threatening and appealing. He is calling Christians to live with wholehearted devotion to Him, and He is warning that lukewarmness is incompatible with the Christian walk. Basically meaning Jesus wants you to follow him in full not just half way.

@@eveningjaguar The Bible has the quote of "love thy neighbor." However many (despite being strict Christian believers) do not follow this principle. I am queer and I've experienced horrible hate from Christians, but I've also seen other Christians stand up for my community. The perspective of Christianity should not make people fear bringing it up, just like sexuality. While I do get nervous whenever it's brought up, it shouldn't be an automatic assumption. There are many who are hateful, but there are many who are loving. Love is always stronger than hate.

As a transgender person with religious trauma who is also familiar with the culture, you've used some turns of phrases that only Christians say ("put it on my heart" is one I remember offhand), and it felt reassuring hearing you say you don't want anyone to feel excluded. I've always hoped you're an accepting Christian, and I also knew you were one. I was able to have that hope because you've been representing Christians well. The things you said made me feel more safe watching your videos in these really scary times.
Also, thank you for sharing your family with us. You've not only made really responsible content about your children, but your pregnancy-related content was fun too! You struck a great balance of giving that part of your life space and presence while keeping with your regular work. As someone who isn't Christian, I don't hate you and never will, you are an absolute light in so many peoples lives and you've always shown everyone love and kindness. It makes me happy to see non judgemental Christians.
I also want to let others know it's ok to be open About your faith and beliefs, as long as you are doing it in a good manner and not forcing it, this goes for all religions and beliefs.

As a practicing pagan and someone who is queer, I would never judge someone’s religion. A lot of the most wonderful people I’ve met were Christians who made me feel so welcomed and loved. It’s really sad that there is a community of them that cast such harsh judgement that it affects the religion as a whole. Your beliefs are beautiful and you have every right to them, just as everybody else does. Also your daughter is so cute!

Although I'm not Christian, I do appreciate you being open and honest about your faith. I'm sorry that it's something you feel worried to share - as someone who's part of the LGBTQ+ community, I know many people aren't particularly fond of Christians (which I understand, but I know that not every Christian is hateful towards us).
You being Christian doesn't change anything for me. So long as you aren't discriminatory (which I haven't EVER seen on your channel), you're more than okay in my books. ❤
Edit: Everybody is entitled to their beliefs. However, I find it hateful to explicitly state that you "don't agree" with us in conversation. Maybe you don't agree, and that's fine. But perhaps keep that to yourself. I don't think it'd be nice for someone to say, "I don't believe in your God," before continuing like it's nothing.
The other thing is that while I believe people don't have to agree, it's still important to acknowledge that as long as nobody is being hurt or is a bigot, people deserve respect. For example, transgender people deserve to be addressed by their preferred and proper pronouns, not whatever you assume them to be. A man is man regardless of what he was assigned at birth, just like a woman is a woman, or a person outside of the binary is a person outside of the binary. Intentionally not addressing trans people by their preferred pronouns is blatantly transphobic, disrespectful, and hateful, no matter what your religious beliefs are.
It hurts a lot being misgendered. It's already a part of everyday life for people who aren't cis-gendered, especially if you haven't transitioned (or don't want to). Or just refer to us by name - it's okay to not use gendered pronouns and to just call someone by their name. Plenty of people prefer that anyway.
ALSO also, just because you haven't seen it doesn't mean it didn't (or hasn't) happened. This, too, goes for everyone.
Perhaps you haven't seen any Christians in your life be discriminatory towards the LGBTQ+ community. While that is amazing and I applaud them, there's still hundreds of thousands (if not millions) of people who have had horrific experiences. It could be from the church, from school mates, to teachers, to family members - it's still happening and is very common today. It's a depressing fact, but it's important to keep this in mind.
On the other hand, just because you may not have seen it, or all your experiences have been bad, not every Christian is out to get you. I know that doesn't mean much, especially to those who have been traumatized by the system, but it is true. It's very hard to trust religious people (not matter how religious they are) when you've been repeatedly beaten down for trying to be who you are, or for experimenting, or for asking questions. It is.
All I ask of people to be considerate and kind, and think of the impact your words have on others. We're all surviving on the same planet - the best we can do is show everyone kindness.
Edit (2): For those of you who have experienced any kind of discrimination, regardless of who it was from, I'm sorry. You did not deserve to be hurt. You did not deserve to be abused. You did not deserve to be hit, or kicked, or experience any physical violence, any form of harassment.
You did not deserve to be hurt, no matter how severe it was.
You did not deserve to be hurt, no matter how old or how young you were.
You did not deserve to be hurt, no matter what your race or ethnicity is.
You did not deserve to be hurt, no matter your religious beliefs and whether or not you practiced.
You did not deserve to be hurt, no matter how you acted or dressed and whether or not it matched your preferred pronouns.
You did not deserve to be hurt, even if you expressed love with someone who was not of the opposite gender.
You did not, and DO not, deserve ANY of the awful things that have happened.
You are valid, regardless of what pronouns you use, if you're straight, if you're gay, if you're ace, if you're bi, if you're pan, if you're unlabeled, or even if you're questioning. You are always valid for being who you are.
I hope that you are able to heal from what's happened (or happening). I hope that you find friends that love and support you. I hope you ALWAYS know that found family IS family.
Even if you don't think it, there are people who will love you. There are people who will support you.
You are not alone.

Anyways, I appreciate you for being open about your faith. My best friend is Christian and I’m not religious. When I came out to her and the rest of our friend group as pansexual when we were in 8th grade, I was glad that she and the rest of our friends were so understanding. I love that she isn’t one of those Christians that discriminates the LGBTQ+ just for existing. She’s been so loving, sweet, kind, and supportive ever since we met in kindergarten. I’m forever grateful to have had her by my side for almost 12 years 💕

I really love your respect for your daughters' privacy and autonomy. I watch your videos with my own daughter, and it's so heartwarming to see how you include them while also maintaining healthy boundaries between RUclips and your personal life. @@Itsmeemili A lot of people asume that as Christians we think we are better than everyone else because Jesus washed our sins away. But the Bible clearly says that we are all born sinners. Just because Jesus has forgiven our sins doesn’t mean that we are better than other people. Sadly a lot of Christians these day do believe that they are more important to God than people who aren’t saved. But that is just not true. The Bible says in John 3:16. “For God so loved the world. That he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him, should not perish ,but have everlasting life.” It says right there that God loves everyone. Not just Christians but everyone.
I am agnostic and love for others to feel accepted and welcome no matter what their background is 👏❤️

Oh my gosh I love the fact you were confident enough to say you are Christian. As a Christian in highschool it is so hard to say your religion and faith without being labeled as bigoted or like your an awful human being. I love all people and do have my own opinions that come from the Bible but I don’t let that get in the way of how I treat people. it’s wonderful to know that someone else is a Christian and has the same fears as me to tell people and stuff. Can I ask where do you all get judged at? I grew up in the bible belt or the south whatever youd like to call it. Ive never seen someone get judged for being a Christian or really any religion here. It was more the people who didnt fit the mold in other ways that were judged. Thanks in advance for answering my question.

And let me tell you while I was in a small town where everyone knew everyone the teens out there were mean to me most of the time. However if someone lives in California and is reading this comment, please understand I do not hate you and am not trying to attack you by saying this.
@ oh wow that’s usually how the south is characterized. Most people dont know me, they might know my grandfather thats about as close as it gets to me (my grandfather does construction work around here). Im sure I wouldve been judge in church here since Im not straight and not religious. I remember my mom being judged for me and my siblings having different dads. That was in a church so I find it interesting that people were judged for being a Christian since it was usually the other way around for me.

Girlie, I have been watching your videos for YEARS, never knowing your faith and i have loved every second. But when I tell you I jumped for joy when you said you're a Christian!! Don't be afraid to share that! Moriah, I'm not Christian, nor is anyone in my family, but I can assure you that no matter what religion you follow(even if you don't in the future), I will always support you seeing as you are truly a wonderful person. Religion does not define us by who we are, it's our choices, actions, and words that can define us and act a reason to like or dislike a person. Even if you shared a highly different opinion from me(like political views or favorite desert), I wouldn't hold it against you as long as you respected my opinion just as I would respect yours. ❤

I have been wondering for so long, as a queer person who watches your channel and has been for 4 years now. I’m not religious, but hearing a christian say they genuinely and truly accept everyone around them and would not judge them as people, put me at so much ease. We are in dire times with acceptance, and I didnt realize I needed to hear this from a creator like you. You always felt so welcoming, but at the same time it was clear you tended to stay away from certain topics (and honestly, I respect that- sometimes I need content that doesnt remind me of whats going on in the world). Thank you, you didnt have to tell us that (and I get why you were nervous about it, genuinely good Christians have a horrible rep right now), but thank you for making everyone who watches your channel feel accepted.

I kinda love that Moriah is a Christian who is obsessed with rainbows. Because on the topic of Christians being seen in a bad light; the Christians I see/know typically veer away from the rainbow as it’s associated with the LGBTQIA+ community and said community is seen as “going against the Bible”. So I’m glad that you just love rainbows just because they’re pretty and maybe tickles your little ocd brain instead of associating it with anything in particular as well as not putting a negative connotation towards it. :) Expect Orange. I also get nervous telling me I’m Christian because what if they judge me or what if they think I’m a holier than thou type. I thought I loved your channel before, but now I’m in awe of it and you. I’m Christian myself and I feel as if the Christian community can be judged simply for the Christians that unfortunately have outdated beliefs and are very hateful to others. Part of us being Christians is to love, not to judge. It’s god’s job to judge, not us. I go by an analogy of, I do not care what you look like, what you believe in, who you want to love, what you want to call yourself, just as long as you aren’t hurting yourself or others, that is all I can ask for. its weird of you to say the “assumptions” are frightening for christians. obviously not all christians are bigots but so many are and they use their religion to justify it so people are rightly so going to be scared that you are a bigot if you say you’re christian. its not an assumption based off nothing to be rude or malicious its an educated assumption based on fact and people have to make that assumption for their own safety.
