Quite powerful, especially the outer movements.

It's better to term this his Symphony No. 6 in G minor.
10 is what Potter called it - when he wasn't calling it his 2nd - but his personal ordering system was a notorious mess. It's a matter of academic agreement now to term this his 6th.

Beethoviniana, a dinâmica "stürm und drang" bem presente, a textura bem entremeada. Classicismo e romantismo estão presentes.

Judging from the year of birth and death, I think that he was an early romantic composer, and in fact, it is a work with a different atmosphere from the classical school.
His symphony in G minor feels more like Mehul's No. 1 in G minor than Mozart's No. 40 symphony.
However, formally, it is no different from a classical symphony, and it is a work five years after Beethoven's death, and it is no exaggeration to say that it is an extension of the classical style.
In any case, this symphony of Potter seems to be a music that sets it apart from romantic music such as Brahms and Schumann.

Forward-looking in some of the passages, reminiscent of early Beethoven.
