So i did my first video that was called "Casper advanced footwork fundamentals" Got a lot of love so this is the new video hope you like it! Enjoy! -Casper
i used to breakdance in high school ..... man i wish we had youtube. so much style here, if i can get into shape again i would love to master some of these techniques, thank you for sharing
I haven't done any breaking for about 3-4 years.... bboy casper was always a favourite of mine (him and miracles).... even though he looks kinda like a homeless now, i still got pure love for what he does..... and i also own the "your killing hip-hop" t-shirt he used to rock, guys a hero!!!
I've heard the argument go both ways, and I think arm length is a factor as well, but I feel a lot more agile if I'm sitting up more and on my fingertips, but I can't stretch out as far and have the same extension. It's a trade-off that affects your style, and as always, it's useful to be able to do both.
does anyone else realize that when he does his footwork, he's on his fingertips? i tried doing footwork like that before, DAMN it's hard! much respect. thanks for the tutorial Casper! =] one of my main inspirations.
Thanks for sharing this, Casper! I think you're a great example of how great looking moves do not need to be difficult or complicated. Everything you've shown is relatively simple but look awesome and can be easily applied.
Being on the fingertips is very benefitial - U r higher and can move way more quickly, u save a lot of your energy and it gives u more space and directions to go to with following moves. (Not from my head, Storm sayz that in one of his videos.)
Damn his footwork is sooooooo good. i was a toprocker/ powermover and only knew how to CC/6 step. but now im inspired to do a lot of footwork... u rock casper
I really like your crispy, efficient teaching style. It's great for people that don't need every single little thing explained to them. It could be my ego talking but I feel like sometimes the breaking instructionals I watch are a bit slow. I like to just see the moves done a couple times with a little bit of explaining and then move on to the next thing so I can pick and choose what I like and what I want to work on.
do footwork on either the top of the palm of your hand down, or finger tips. This keeps you elevated and makes footwork look so much cleaner. Tho it takes awhile for your hands to build muscle, especially for finger tips. But you get use to it in a couple months with practice.
Thanks for the vid man. This honestly helped a lot. I've been struggling with footwork for awhile now. Footwork and Freezes. And I have a Zulu chapter (Tomahawk Zulus run by Coda) in my state, and I always feel dumb when I'm around them and they have dope footwork and mine is just balls lol.
Capser is one of the freshest cats ALIVE !!! Nice video man, I love Knee rocks but they hurt after a while... Time to invest in knee pads. Hhaha Oh, and I have seen the 8ball six step before this from the Bboy Game(Kmel does it) Lol Thank you for sharing Casper !!
