Actually, with Halt, you don't have to turn around, just back away.
Also, Screech will only make the "Psst" sound when he's about to attack, he can appear at anytime, so when you enter a room, look up, down and all around for like every 5 seconds.
I learned this from the world record speedrun
Note: you need to have good reaction time if ya wanna implement the halt walking backwards trick

Tips:
There is another Glitch entity.
He only appears in multiplayer if you're too far away from the group.
He will deal 40 damage and teleport you to the group.
Once you've encountered glitch atleast once, you'll get a frequent shadow figure jumpscare.

He appears in cabinets to jumpscare you.
He doesn't deal damage, though.

Timothy
He appears in drawers and deals 5 damage.
It's impossible to dodge his attacks.
i did a video on glitch and i didnt include Timothy or jack bc there kinda easter eggs
Jack can also jumpscare you if you open a door to the next room
Fun fact : I think there is a way to avoid Timothy cause one time I opened a drawer and I didn’t see him but it gave me the badge tho

guide:
rush- (probably the most hardest with 3-4 players cuz so it’s so easy to get killed) When lights flicker, hide in a closet/bed.
screech- in a dark room, When a audio cue plays “psst”, look around for a spider looking figure and stare at it. The alternative is just hold a light source to prevent any of them from jumpscaring you.
seek- when there is eyes around the room leading to a long hallway, it will then chase you. You must run to where the blue glowing auras are.
ambush- (probably the most hardest one with 3-4 players) this is a alternative of the rush. When the lights flicker, the audio cue is slightly different, so make sure you pay attention. It is random and will go around the hallways 2-6 times before leaving, also you can’t just stay in the closet because of hide, so make sure to leave the closet each time ambush goes around the hallway and go back into the closet.
eyes- when you hear distorted sounds and see a purplish-blue aura, look away.
hide- don’t hide for too long.
jack- (he’s annoying asf when it comes to hiding from ambush/rush) basically jump scares you without any harm whenever you try to hide in a closet/maybe bed, or room.
timothy- while you’re looting, there is a small chance of a spider jumpscaring you without any harm.
room 50 figure- memorize his patterns, and make sure you don’t run, but instead crouch at all times so he doesn’t hear you (plus, he’s blind). His room is probably gonna take you a while to finish if you don’t know his movement patterns, he gets faster with each book collected, use the paper and codes that are left on the left side of your screen once u collected them.
heartbeat minigame- happens when u enter a closet infront of figure, and a minigame plays (fnf moment).
room 100 figure- basically the same as room 50 figure, but you have minimal space to hide from figure, plus you have to get a key to enter the electrical room.
electrical minigame- idk what to explain but it will give you a set of buttons to press and a pattern, follow the pattern. Only press the numbered buttons when the pattern shows a number with a light up square next to it.

You forgot one thing for the figure:
He will not chase you if you crouch, since he only detects by sounds for his lack of eyes.
he will still chase you if you crouch. This is only if he is near you. If so, hide in a closet immediately.

I never got to figure I die by seek chase
Lore wise he chases you as he can sense your heartbeat which explains the mini game in the closet as well.
For mobile players, the seeker part we can't see the lit door. so from my experience always just go right if it pitch black and u can't see the correct door. Out of 75th death from seeker, I said 5 times it was left. It's mainly right but for some reason I always go left. If it's just too much just go laptop. The lighting is obvious in laptop unlike mobile

Hide doesn't kill you, it only kicks you out and leave 40 damage.
Well he can kill you if you do it 3 times, idk why someone would do it after the first time but lol
It also happened to me once where i hid too long in the closet and got kicked out, but I wasnt able to get back in the closet. Ambush then got me because i had nowhere to go.

That happens, or he jumpscares you in the cutscene
you forgot these monsters:
timothy: timothy has a small chance of coming out drawers and does 5% damage
jack: jack has a very small chance of spawning in a closet and is mainly there to jumpscare you and doesnt do any damage
glitch: glitch only appears in multiplayer and jumpscares you when you get too far from your group and does 10-40% damage
window&shadow: both have very low chances of spawning and are known as easter eggs, both dont so any damage
well i did a video on glitch, and jack and timothy are more easter eggs and u cant really avoid them

Hints for seek:

Hint 1: Follow the blue lights.

Hint 2: If you got on the door room, look right and left as fast as you can. Try to look for the door that has a number sign. if there is no doors then it must be in the Front!

Hint 3: don’t touch hands or fire (Hands can actually kill, but fire takes away your 50% health!

Hint 4: don’t hide.

Hint 5: if there is a side that has hands above go into it.

Well prop is if you hide for to long hide will get you and make you unable to hide for a little bit and killed you, u have to time it just right :/
Also if you dont have any closets to hide from rush, just go to a cornered place or besides the shelves or closets you'll survive rush

This game is very good and all but something i that really gets on my nerves is the seek chase, either you need RNG for it, or an extremely fast reaction time (or vitamins which are near vital)
For me the seek chase is really easy lol, after enough practice it’s fine for em
Still very hard for me.
And even when i do survive the rest of the server just gets demolished
its honestly not that hard. you just need some okay reaction time and check both ways. seek is actually not super fast so you can take a little extra time to check both sides
2:10 you dont really have to turn around just go forward and backward its easier and you can see him

There is one problem for me, when I run from the seek it takes like a 1 or 2 seconds for me to open a door and this way he gets me I mean it takes a few seconds to open the door for me is that a lag?

with seek i had such a good run i took no damage from anything and it was my best run till i got to the end and the moment i opended that door i always take a breather cuz its nerve racking when im in a chase scene and when i opened that door eyes was there and i died

Rush will come back if it spawned in room with locked door cuz game dont want you to go through locked door without the key and will make rush go back

About me hardest is figure because he blind but kinda fast and give player a BIG BRAIN in door 50
Level 50. it took me a few tries to memorize what to do but after a few hours I got the hang of it
bro, i went into a closet since the lights flickered but it wasnt rush, but next room was so i hid in the closet for to long so i went out and died to rush
you have to time it, i wait till the sound is LOUD then i get in and hope jack isnt there
Bruh I got so unlucky when ambush came 7 times it did not want me to leave the closet. Like it came back to back not sure if that was a glitch or something
Also a tip for halt you don't have to turn around every single time you whenever it appears in front of you, you can walk back and when it disappears from in front of you, you can walk forward. Cause sometimes when you turn around you may get stuck on a drawer and then you die.

well on the 2 side part there is a chance its the 3rd door in the back, but the door will have blue particals

My theory about seek : when you see eyes on wall I think that’s when seek comes you when you finish 3 doors I think then you get the long hall way place where it comes
