  • This program tells the history of Bolton Valley from the 1920's when it was used recreationally for backcountry skiing through the development of the resort we know today which was built in 1966. The story looks at the past 50 years of skiing and riding at the mountain, focusing on previous owners, staff and guests.

When I was in high school in the late '60's some friends and I took a drive from Central Pennsylvania to Bolton Valley. We mis-timed our drive and arrived at about 4:00am ( a little early for check in!). The helpful staff found us a spare room so that we could get some much needed sleep. This endeared us to Bolton Valley and we went back a couple of more times during our high school years. Great spot!

We LOVE Bolton Valley - funny that our daughter loved the Bear's Den... She would ski and then go to daycare then ski again. Thanks for letting us enjoy and also film at your mountain.

Love this place, learned to board there in 2010, been coming back ever since. The mountain is always evolving, new trails for mountain biking in the summer lead to cool features in the woods come winter, great people, great vibe. Hope to be riding there for meny years to come

Great job, good stuff ! And heart warming to know the roots and the backstory and all the history and hard work of so many........"that truly cared". Thank you for sharing. Myself, I learned how to Ski at a little place called Haystack. My Uncle lived in Bennington, VT and me in NJ. I still come to Vermont to Ski and just spent a week there. Keep up the great work, the kids programs are our future of the sport and so very important and greatly appreciated !
